So I was curious to see how the majority of fans besides myself feel about this question about the possible forms of the machine god. - officially the Ecclesiarchy seem to accept the machine god and Machine spirits as aspects of the emperor which is possible considering the emperor is kept alive with the machinery of the Golden Throne. - The Adeptus Mechanicus view him as a being of his own and considering the nature of the warp and the vast use of machinery of all kinds through out the galaxy its quite possible a being could form or be forming in the warp based on their beliefs. - a lot of fluff has come out suggesting the C'tan known as the void dragon is or is at least connected to the machine cult in some deep way and could quite possibly be the Machine god himself. -Of course its possible this is merely a case of mistaken identity concerning A.I.'s though I've always found this unlikely as the machine cult is clearly aware of what A.I.'s are, the "Soulless Sentience". - Due to the nature of the warp its possible the machine god is all the above a being inspired by A.I's or the Void dragon and made real in the Immaterium. Its possible the Void dragon after thousands of years was even mutated by the warp energies to become a different sort of being entirely but that is purely fan speculation. Discuss!!

Meh it's the Void Dragon, the Tech priests are just to blind and foolish to realize it, and even if they did they would get killed on the spot by the Inquisition to stop them from awakening it or to stop another possible mechcanicum schism. How else can you explain the Necron raid of Mars in M41?

I believe it is the Void Dragon. While he lies hidden in stasis, the Adeptus Mechanicus can harness his powers, but they will probably get killed if he comes free. I think i've read a hint about that in the Lexicanum a long time ago that the Machine God is most likely the Void Dragon.

Well who knows maybe he got turned into a super powerful dreadnought or something, either way he can't be the Mechcanium's "Machine god" mostly due to the Necron raid on Mars, the only reason the Necrons could possibly want to go to Mars would be to awaken an ancient C'tan god.
