As I recall it was a smaller hive fleet, not an anything like Leviathan. In fact, they requested the aid of the Imperium of man to help in the final days of the war, but I may be wrong in that.
We prepare for our crusade in Segmentum Obscurus, and already soldiers of all attending factions seek to forge alliances, it oddly surprises me, I didn't expect this so soon. I shouldn't be surprised though, None can stand against the might of the Emperor's Angels of Death.
Oh, then we should thank the Emperor + the imperium for the Chaos Marine chapters, their leaders turning into unkillable demon princes, not to mentnion Abaddon and his crusades, the Armageddon Wars, waking up countless Necrons Tomb Worlds needlessly and so on ^^ Since then Chaos forces are a real plague on the galaxy, before it, they resided only in the Warp/Eye of Terror Oh and thanks for the humans, their planets make such a wonderful host for the festering chaos cults :3 No wonder you need a full organisation dedicated to purging the crap out these ^^; Not to metnion their untrained psykers usually turning to demon hosts, thus dooming a whole planet/star system countless times ^^ *clap-clap* Marvelous job really ^^ Oh, did I mention, if the Emperor dies, the human worlds will be cut off (no Astronomicon to travel in warp) + most of the planets will become acting grounds for chaos worshippers? (They dont need the Astronomicon to travel in the Warp xD) The SM chapters will go nuts if their father dies, already speculated that after the death of the emperor, the SM chapters will turn to govern sectors like overlords. Not to mention, some chapters may turn chaos. Mmmm I think we are doing a pretty good job compared to that
Without the Astartes and the Imperium, Chaos would have already overrun the Eldar. Add in Orks, Tyranids, the Necrons would have been awoken by someone else anyway, and the Tau. There's a million theories of what happens when the Emperor dies, most of them grim (as it should be, it's grimdark after all!) but even in the literature I remember reading one of the Chaos Gods or Deamons fearing what would happen if the Emperor's will and soul weren't confined to a mortal body. You deride us of Chaos Marines, but there are Dark Eldar and other horrors running around of your own making due to your rampant negligence and scheming. If you're going to fight us, mind just wiping out the Inquisition for us? lol
