well actually... the blaming was in the second part of the post! it was pretty much something like "i blame the attitude of the community it's not something related with the other stuff but more how they intereact with other member of the community dev and vice versa" not the same words but pretty much that meaning. but apparently people don't read it.
Im angry because of devs here is a list -Dev team lack of talent to make a game -optimisation problem expensive price, unfinished product -slow development -normal game studio act like indie game studio -I cant feel any quality work on EC -different items just recolored even master crafted one -overprice costumization I totally lost my interest on EC PS: I dont want to talk about balance issue ^^
I hardly think it needs to come to that... yes it would remove some trouble makers, on both sides I might add since it's not just the upset portion of the community that is out of line but people that refuse to let us discuss problems we have with the game without derailing it into madness or calling us out for it. I've been around since the beginning too and a lot of the people that may be the worst offenders on the negative side were once our most helpful and active forum users. I know because I was right there with them, bladerunner for example had as much hope as the next guy and was throwing threads together and playing his part as well as... djemo. Something happened, things changed, it's not like we just gave up and started to express concern over nothing. As time went on things start to look worse and worse and you can't fault us for being upset when we've invested as much time and energy into this as the next guy to have the rug pulled out from under us. We're pissed off, that much is clear the only consensus I can make is that we, the upset majority, need to calm down and reply in a more respectful manner. We're only hurting our argument by attack the rest of the community and it down right looks bad on us. That being said, both sides needs to check themselves and really think about things before they post in some of these threads. If you're an avid supporter of the game, games direction, devs what ever then maybe think twice before posting in a thread that clearly has negative connotations amd chose your words carefully or maybe even steer clear completely. Same goes for those of us that aren't happy, don't go into threads praising the development team or talking about things they like about the game simply to cause trouble and insult the people that have just as much of a right to support this project as we have to criticize it. Like I said, there are underlying issues that has caused people to take sides for or against, culling the community isn't going to fix anything. Look at the outrage over moderators locking threads and it's easy enough to see that if you started removing people from the forums the problem would only escalate. Aside from creating two different subforums one for "support" type threads and another "criticism" where the moderators could have a little more leeway in what posts get deleted and or threads locked I don't see this problem going away anytime soon. I personally don't want to see that happen, it would just be another divide that we don't need, shouldn't need. We all should be able to debate all these topics respectfully without things turning into an all out brawl but as we've already witnessed, that might just be too much to ask.
Ahaha, come on man, be honest now. How drunk were you when you made this post, brosky? For the longest while, I thought grigdusher was a dev or dev alt account with the unceasingly glowing accounts of things he gave no matter what was happening as well as the constant reposts of things they had posted somewhere else.
To me its not a matter of having the RIGHT to complain or praise, its about the REASON. Now let's ignore the fact that there are indeed people that troll and bitch just for the sake of bitching, im the first one to acknowledge that. Let's get to what I consider to be the core issues of the situation we are in: 75k owners, 300-450ish people playing it on any given time. Now imagine someone who says either in an OP of a thread or as in reaction to a praise thread: 'the game as it is now isnt good, devs need to listen and come with improvements, here's what my ideas are' Then someone else comes along and replies: lolwut dont be a hater, i personally have tons of fun etc. Given the numbers, steamratings, the game itself, who of those two have a bigger point, have more reason? To me its obvious: the guy who has a negative opinion about the game. Right now the situation is misrepresented, its presented as if the community is roughly split equally in two. It's not. The VAST majority of owners do not like this game, they dont play it. We are the not even 3% who still bother, and we, the 3% are split 50-50ish, and even that is up for debate. Now we can bring up code of conducts like Ostrum suggested and start permaban people, but im personally not very fond of Stalinistic social policies so I rather we all let certain things sink in and re evaluate.
Oh absolutely, I'm on the critical side of EC believe me it's not hard to tell that things are in very sketchy place right now all you have to do is look at the numbers to see that. And you're right in regards to reason over right to discuss these topics even in your example, the guy that has fun and who's only contribution to the thread was "don't be a hater, I have fun" might have wanted to bring a bit more to the table then that or simply move on and find a thread where people are talking about how much fun they are having. That's what I was trying to get at.
I also don't believe in the chauvinist way people conducted the steam reviews @Zhull I've noticed that a lot of the negative ones have 0 downvotes, and almost exactly 15, some as many as 30 "upvotes" while many of the positive consistently have between 12-15, some as many as 30 downvotes... Which means about 15 of the same individuals went through and downvoted all the positive people they could find, JUST BECAUSE they were positive. That's basically thw toxic behavior I despise in this community. Just because YOU (not you personally zhull) are not having fun for whatever reason does not mean EVERYONE ELSE who wants to enjoy the game can't.
i dont know howe up or downvoting works on steam because except for my review, i stay the hell away from it. you can see who down or upvoted? if yes, then you know for sure its a small group of people who are committed to do this. but if the votes are anonymous: low playercounts, most people dont play and its reasonable to assume there are far more people unhappy with the game and thus agreeing with negative posts/reviews. again, if you think 15 pple are responsible for tens of thousands pple not playing....well, you'll have a hell of a time convincing me.
