Daemons are only one weapon among the many others in a Chaos Marines' armory. Metaphorically speaking of course.
I can imagine myself standing infront of a Carnifex and shouting "Eat me! Eat me!" Go ahead, Nids, choke yourselves on the Death Guard.
adaptation fixes that in a jiffy. Same goes for Tyranids. And more and more new bioforms are created to combat against all enemies and types of warfare. The only other race that has shown any adaptation such as this is the Ultramarines's Tyrannic War Veterans, and it took a while for the chapter to agree upon even that.
If its a mass invasion with everything the nids have and chaos with everything they have .... Over time the nids will kill and collect everything they can. even the Chaos gods fear them because that create a shadow in the warp. And CSM and LSM don't need to sleep or eat that much but when the nids take you over they will learn what you know and its locked in the hivemind . We may win battles but the nids will win the war.
Chaos Daemon's are the Hive Mind's worst nightmare assuming they have a strong enough presence to survive. A: No Biomass, every Tyranid killed in the fight will make the Hive Fleet wither and starve more. B: It is physically impossible to adapt your armour to the Warp. A Hellblade will carve through any physical armour like butter, Ceramite, Adamantium, doesn't matter. Anyone who says Hellblades are only AP3 in the table top as an excuse, learn the lore.
*Ahem* If an army of Daemons is there, the Warp has too strong of a presence to be bothered by the Shadow. The Shadow can banish lesser Daemons if they are in small numbers, but if a Greater Daemon or army is present, the saturation of the Warp is too much for the Shadow to blot out.
I think the game should incorporate The Shadow in the game. That way, psykers can't just blast them like that
Everything read or seen cant be incorporated as gameplay-balance wont allow it, so psykers, i think they will be not as op as they are portrayed.
