The Forces Of Chaos Vs The Tyranids?

  1. BITCH THAT ISN'T HERESY JUST AGAINST THE EMEPEROR
ITS HERESY AGAINST THE CHAOS GODS

IT'S HERESY AGAINST WARHAMMER 40K ITSELF
  2. eeehh

    yes it can.
they just add some psychic-shtuff...perhaps a zoanthrope that acts as a beacon-type-thing that's sole purposes are to provide synapse, and provide a psychic shield from things like hellblades.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

  3. The Warp doesn't work like that entirely. If a Zoanthrope wants to call permanent psychic energy it leaves a small gap for powerful Psykers to exploit.

When you have a near limitless number of Bio forms it would be inefficient to improve one's armour at the cost of allowing your opponent to wiled Psychic Powers at greater efficiency.
  4. the whole purpose would be to protect from psychic/warp based/daemonic attacks...
  5. Crit Crit Subordinate

    bad writing is bad writing

  6. Yet you're giving the opponent a chance to use their Psychic powers too.

Zoanthropes may seem powerful (they sorta are) because they can use their full power under the cloak of the Shadow. You let a Chaos Psyker use his full energy... Oh boy that's gonna give your Synapse a headache, Psykers do more than let off physical powers.
  7. what?

shadow in the warp is just brought about by the presence of tyranids..you aren't taking away from shadow with this..lol

  8. Yes you are. You are drawing from the Warp with every Psychic Power you cast, now even if the Shadow makes it hard for opponent Psykers to cast, causing fluctuations in the Immaterium WILL be exploited by more practiced Psykers (of which Chaos has a LOT), constant withdrawal will give the Psykers a chance to utilize the Empyrean better than they would under normal circumstances with the Shadow.

Anyways this argument is pointless regardless which one of us is right. The simple matter of the fact is since the Hive Mind hasn't done it, then it is an inefficient mutation.
  9. or the hive mind hasn't needed to yet...
or they have come up with other mutations..
it by no means is not effective...

also, that's not how the warp works. your making things up...no matter how many zoanthropes there are and no matter what they are doing, the shadow of the warp will be there. the reason is that the shadow is not maintained by the hive--they are not actively 'maintaining' it, as i said before, in addition to the fact that zoanthropes and psychic powers have NEVER been shown to 'disrupt' the shadow. and the shadow isn't an affect directly in the warp...it's the tyranid hive mind interacting with any other minds, and by it's mere presence, making it VERY difficult for all but the most experienced psykers to use their abilities. it's not a storm, which disrupts the warp, or anything like that. you can't disrupt the shadow because that would require disrupting the tyranids themselves.

  10. I'm pretty sure high Tier Psykers have the ability to dissipate/disrupt Shadow. Otherwise we wouldn't see Daemons vs Tyranids ever.

I'm not saying the Zoanthrope powers would disrupt the Shadow, I'm saying like ALL things Psychic it would make the Warp flow and ebb, which would allow Psykers to get a feel of the Warp and the more experienced ones would take this to their advantage.
