The Forces Of Chaos Vs The Tyranids?

Discussion in 'Chaos Space Marines' started by Duster, Oct 21, 2013.

  1. They don't need souls to be corrupted, they still have minds. If the presence of the Warp is strong it could mess up the thought process of lesser Tyranids, maybe do something like think it needs to gather the biomass of their own, get it to start cannibalizing its own. Plus if they're a souless body, doesn't that make them susceptible to possession?

Also if the Hive Mind doesn't want anything Chaos related consumed, doesn't that make attacking Chaos strategically insignificant?

Daemons lack biomass as they are beings from the warp as it seems, when a daemon dies it is not truly dead but banished into the warp.

This comment below is from an time when tyranids fought daemons.

Up until this point the Hive Mind had utterly ignored the Daemonic forces due to their lack of consumable biomass.

Actually the fact that they are soulless bodies is the exact reason demons would steer clear of them. The demons that inhabit soulless things like Defilers are enraged and furious and need to be chained down out of combat to stop them killing their own. Demons despise being entombed in such contraptions and freely express this by ripping both friend and foe to shreds.
  4. it should be included, but it should just make things..scarier.
edit the environment, psychic powers are nullified slightly, makes things darker....you might think your entering chaos territory, but in actuality its the shadow in the warp fucking with your head.

In the New Codex, the Nids beat Chaos greater demons and their minions at Shadowbrink using shadow in the warp, mass spore mines, zoanthropes, and swarms of Tyrannofexes and Trygons

    Tyranids vs Chaos:

Fight outside the Warp/Eye of Terror is slow and agonizing for both sides. Tyranids need a fresh supply of biomass to continue the fight, and Chaos needs that biomass to continue its belief in the Dark Gods. Daemons aren't biomass and a true Anathema to the Tyranids because they cannot be used to replenish their forces. Tyranids are a true Anathema to Daemons because they naturally blot out the warp and prevent the forces of Chaos from summoning them and interact with their source of power. Although favored with Eternal Damnation inside the warp, and capible of fighting for all eternity, Chaos has to defend against the threat in realspace, summoning demons into reality to fight the near endless swarm and starve the organism to death. Without biomass outside the warp, Chaos will fall to the Tyranids, collapsing upon a crumbling pillar of Psychic nullification.

The worst part about this, is that everything else is in the way, including the Orks, who even banded together as a single faction would be challenged to exterminate the Tyranid threat for a very interesting reason. When Orks die, they release spores that grow and create more Orks. The battle between the Orks and Tyranids rages eternal, because when the Tyranids kill the Orks, they make more Orks, that feed the Tyranid machine, therefore making more Tyrands that the Orks kill, and the Tyranids recycle.
