I imagine our characters inventing the fist bump just so we can do it in power armor because just imagine how cool a steam powered fistbump would be after all their ancient ancestors were friends so why not they be good friends?
Lol, I don't know if its sad or awesome that I can easily picture that happening! Their great-great etc. grandads would be so proud! I feel like a fist bump like that would shatter reality
@CommissarGaunt You sir are a hero with the amount of work put into this. Also i have a vauge idea of how Emile ( my impending Neustrian character ) is going to go and since the only ahot gun we have so far is principalities only the catalina mercado 1891 is my choice so far as it seems to be a short powerful rifle. Also i dont know much anout guns but longer muzzle=higher muzzle velocity right ? Or is it the other way around ? On a side note the Antimarga condolli 1866 looks great so which would be more likely for an average Neustrian footman would have ?
I've been leaning pretty hard to some sort of sapper or combat engineer unit if that's still something in this universe. Either that or a Knight from the states. Because America!
Sorry for long wait...internet went down last night around 8pm and it just came back online. Short Answer: Yes Long Answer: Yes and No To answer your question, in most general cases, the longer the barrel of the gun, the longer its range and increase in muzzle velocity. With that said, rifling of the barrel (creating circular grooves along the entire length causing the projectile to spin inside the barrel) helps increase long range accuracy and also assists with muzzle velocity. The type of ammunition also plays a major effect as blanks (which simply have a small amount of gunpowder inside a very, very small thin shell) have extremely fast initial velocity but slow down rapidly, so having rounds with increased powder in them or propellant will make increase velocity as well. Then there's the problem with attachments. Silencers and flash suppressors (for the most part) decrease muzzle velocity as they slow down the round as it exits to contain the gas release (which causes the muzzle flash when you fire a weapon). If I remember correctly, I have around 7-9 pistols, five shotguns, 8 machine guns, three flamethrowers, four mortars, three smgs, and the rest are rifles.
@CommissarGaunt Thanks for the info there ! Ive also now realized the Antimarga Condolli 1866 is a crossbow or at least it sounds like it is, would it go through the weaker parts of Knight power armor or is it mainly iseful agaisnt light to medium infantry ? Anyways i guess i'll stop pestering you for a while.
The standard bolts fired are considered to be standard steel bolts but with a heavy propellant allowing it to penetrate standard issue heavy infantry armour. Knights use a combination of Element ME-110 and Neurmonia 17, giving it a lattice structure composition similar to that of a diamond and can be applied to both iron and steel armours greatly increasing its durability. While early systems of the Knight have obvious weak points in the joins with no armour being there, a direct hit against the main plates wouldn't even scratch it. Newer systems have flexible bonded plates with an isotopic coating which is even stronger since countermeasures are constantly being renovated against and for the armour.
You don't have to worry about the player limit as the maximum limit is fourteen players and I think I'm at seven players so far? Not entirely sure as character sheets aren't mandatory yet but I've received four already. Player class doesn't matter so if you want, everyone can go all Knight or all Battle-Alchemist but then where's the fun in that?
Well a Kroll version might be making a comeback here then. Now did I see cybernetics mentioned earlier? As in steam powered bionics?
