Of course some of us might have ideological reasons to eschew swapping Aspects. We can't all be Autarchs.
Yes but SM only have one capper too but they've already talked about items that ALLOW capping to be taken on loadouts if you're willing to sacrifice the points cost to carry it. I doubt only DA's will be able to cap as long as you're willing to take the appropriate item needed.
I would be happy with this. I should note that 1/4 is larger than 1/7, however, so two cappers for the Eldar would be a lot fairer (in essence it would be 2/8 vs 2/7). I would suggest Banshees would be the fairest choice, assuming that their mask can only be used offensively (it would be pretty neat if it could only be activated whilst sprinting).
well Eldar as a whole have to be willing to class swap if they want to win. this is nothing new either. Only class that wont cause an uproar for capping is the Fire Dragon. Close enough in theory to a tac with a melta gun that it can be overlooked as a second class.
As other have said, then the fact that we ave 7 classes will give us 1/7 "capping classes", so it would be fair to allow another class to capture points. The Fire Dragon would be the least "different" capping class when compared to Tactical Marines and they are donned with the "Heavy" Aspect Armor (giving them the much needed staying power to capture contested points), but the Howling Banshee would be an interesting option too. Do you guys think the Dire Avengers will be allowed to unlock other loadout options throughout the Progression Tree? I know we are supposed to change class to adapt but if they limit us to only one loadout for the capping class, then I think we could run into a few problems. I know that I can't keep up my concentration very well (Narcolepsy), especially if I am bored, so if I am forced to play the Dire Avenger and only have one loadout available (Avenger Shuriken Catapult, Shuriken Pistol, Combat Knife and Plasma Grenades) then I do not believe I will be able to enjoy the game very much. I will undoubtedly enjoy playing the Dire Avenger from time to time, and even more so when in a warband, but being forced into a single loadout just to have a chance to win is a bit... limiting... The Tacticals are known to be highly adaptable and can therefore use Melta Guns, Plasma Guns, Bolters, Melta Bombs, Krak Grenades, Frag Grenades, Stalker Bolters, Stormbolters (CSM Twin-Linked Bolter), the Chaos side can even equip Melee Weapons (the Loyalists might get a few melee options later?). This gives them the following loadouts: Anti-Armor, DMR/Sniper, Short Ranged/CQB, Short to Medium Ranged Combat and Melee (only Chaos for now). I know they aren't going for symmetrical balance, but handing out a bit of balance is still needed. Now I have started to wonder; How strong will the Plasma Grenade be? It is (to my understanding) stronger than a Frag Grenade and capable of limited Anti-Vehicle use (just like the Plasma Gun), but how will they make this ingame without also making a Choir of Crying Marines?
The Eldar are the only race in the game who can stealth and the only race who can fly. So long as they actually implement these well, I think the balance will be fine, even if they suffer in individual versatility.
What? Only Eldar can stealth? Orks have Skarboy Kommandoz as an elite unit in the RT Granted they're not basic units and won't be available immediately as a result But Orks have some stealth as well, it's not going to be exclusive for the Eldar.
Ya I think it was hopefully just forgotten that we are getting two cappers. And I think FD's are the only class is workable and not OP. As for different loadouts? thats a for sure. At least as anything is for sure. it has been stated by multiple times by Brent and others that we will have limited ability to delve into the exarch weapons, so expect fire pikes for Dragons ect. I think they will likely leave some more powerful or iconic options till you achieve "Exarch" in that aspect to get. As mentioned by Brent Avenger exarch can take the dire sword and shimmer shield. Also remember that we all will have the store, with scads of new gear. So load outs should be the last thing you worry about. Also I get the concentration issues, I suffer from MS and I have some similar troubles. Plasma grenades. They are in the middle of fag and krak grenades as far as I remember. I think they should do the same thing just maybe stay in play for a short while. good way to clear our a pill box if there is a plasma fire in it.
we are the only one right now with a stealth class as a basic unit. Also I wouldnt put to much into stealth just yet, we have no idea what stealth entails.
