Yeah the eldar trailer was bad. I mean pretty much every single other W40K game coming out has got way better trailers than this: Deathwing, Battlefleet Gothic Armada, even Inquisitor Martyr... AND lets not even say anything about Dawn of War 3.... Really the launch trailer when the game is released with all 4 factions, that has the freaking obligation to be good. Doesnt needs to be cinematics, but it has to be good....
As far as in game trailers goes I think it was pretty good. It's not like it was the launch cinematic for the game...its just a feature being teased. Either way really psyched to play the Eldar.
At least the trailer shows real gameplay and graphics and not that rendered, ultra-hd cinematic style which makes a game look cooler than it actually is. We should be happy that the eldar finally made it into the game and appreciate the effort the devs put into this.
^ What this furry Chaos Space Marine with the voice of a gloriously heavenly choir (please forgive me, the urge was too much to resist) above me said sums up my feelings about the trailer in a nutshell. I'd probably prefer trailers using ingame assets and gameplay showing off how the actual game works opposed to cinematic trailers unless the game in question is going to be very lore heavy, or if the trailer is meant to be a lore/story trailer. When it comes to a trailer to get me interested in the game itself for how the games plays, though, a cinematic trailer can't do that for me.
Well,I won`t say how bad this trailer is.I will just embed this video, ingame shootage, a bit of "eldarkind" battlescenes, 2011. Dear Behaviour, please stop.Release in summer 2016?Really?
Hopefully. I mean, it's 40k, so they still need to make Eldar feel unique. They can't leave them as it is even if their current state proves to be balanced against other factions.
they can make cinematic trailer but they prefer to show what truly the game is. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQvC_yOiUQo
