wall mounted capture points changed A LOT. no longer could you just hide behind the point while capping so you cant be shot at. Wall mounted capture points are a blessing for any defender.
That's not a unique trait of those maps. What sucked with defending Olipsis was how relatively easy C was to get, plus that each point added 5 minutes, so you had more time to progress the bar. The statistics the developers showed proved it as well, easiest map to attack of them all.
From my experience, there were a lot of cases where defenders could hold on A for the entire time. But yes, I do agree that most of the time, if attackers got A they won the game, since other points were harder to hold.
Old Olipsis was decided on A. If they could take A they could take BC and D since they where super easy for attackers to take compared to A. I remember a ton of matches that where a 20 minute slugfest at A. It was not fun for attackers.
Yeah and think about it, all of the points currently are exactly like A in olipsis except game modes "differ".
