The "easiest" change to the game with the most impact. No new assets required!

Ugh, Olipsis with 4 points was the easiest map to attack in the game's history, and there were statistics proving it too from the developers. I liked the move from 4 to 3 points to balance it out.

Yeah sure but i think that in smaller scale only moving those cap points would make such a big game play difference that it would be enough really.

Like what is the reasoning behind the fact that all the capture points are inside buildings having no variation? Performance maybe? I think they said it once.

Yeah but the point is that it wouldnt matter if it would be too easy or too difficult as long as it would be different adding variation to maps. Now they all play the same even if its "balanced"

Yep. The lack of meaning behind anything you do is what is killing the game. It's just random pointless match after random pointless match.

WHY am I attacking Zedek against Space Marines when we just won attacking Zedek against Space Marines? It's stupid!

  5. I think that starts treading into new work territory. But yeah, it's a very good idea for the longevity of the game.

I'd also be ok with extending the cap time on most points (1 min for Supremacy, 2 mins for HTL and Forts.) It's not uncommon to watch a point get capped and see half the defending team turn around outside the point. Redeploy in theory gives the team a fighting chance, but not everyone uses it, either out of ignorance or because they think suiciding to get where you're going feels cheap. It'd make 1 man sneak jobs a lot harder to pull off though, and leave stupid teams way more vulnerable to that last second decap. (Can't believe how often you walk to a fort cap point and decap it while there are people LITERALLY standing around it just looking the wrong way.)

I think we desperately need new maps, that will at least make things feel fresh and new for a bit. Since we're big into reusing assets now, sure why not just give us some tweeted versions of the maps we have, none of them are perfect so some changes, small or large, would be interesting.
  7. Turn the largest existing maps into "Conquest" match mode ala Battlefield 1 and BF4.

-Five to Six objectives per conquest match MINIMUM. Objectives must be spread out over a large area with 5 to 6 objectives minimum to make zerging an invalid tactic.
    -All objectives start as Neutral
-Each teams starts with 300 to 500 tickets(lives)
-Objective ownership causes your tickets to count down SLOWER or adds tickets?
-Killing enemies and denying them objectives causes their tickets to count down FASTER
-Reviving team mates and staying alive REWARDS YOUR FACTION by keeping tickets
-Redeploying/suicide punishes your faction by taking tickets
-Certain objectives spawn tanks, bikes, transports or landspeeders for YOUR FACTION ONLY. you cannot drive other faction vehicles.
-No timers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fight for objectives against PLAYERS and not against the clock.

    What's not to like?
  8. Can we have this but have all 4 factions present with 15 players (60 player map thats not fortress and sounds fun)
    Orkan and Njord-Halfhand like this.
  9. @NoahWard @Oveur

    Sounds like fun

Not really. Old Olipsis was easy to attack if attackers were better than defenders. In fact, both the current timer system, with bonus time for each point and limited lives for defenders on Maggon and Zedek all come from the fact that it was possible to completely stop attackers on A for 20 minutes if defenders knew what they were doing.
