The Depths of the Hive: Hive Gang Redux

  1. Matias had elected to look into the room in the basement, he had observed the layout of the building over the past few days so he knew where to go. He was the most familiar with the first floor naturally since that was the one he could actually go on but once in the basement itself it was somewhat difficult. He had to go through some rooms before finding the one that was actually open to be lived in. It was somewhat small for a larger man like himself but he could make do since at least now he had a roof over his head. Indeed after living on the street for quite a while he had truly learned to appreciate the simple befits of living in a sturdy building. He closed the door behind him and sat on the cot that was pushed into the corner of the room and leaned his weapons against the wall. He took his helmet off and placed it next to him so he could take a breath and rest his eyes for a moment.

    Delmo had almost entirely ignored The Maw's comments and tone towards him, they had a service exit for a reason and discreet exits was one of them. He didnt need one yapping about what they might have heard and bringing down Enforcers and powers that-be-forbid the Inquisition. He would be spared their ire only to be turned over to the adepts of mars the frying pan to the fire. An event he however did notice was the acknowledgement by the Eldar.

    He halted frozen in his tracks for a few moments after the nod towards him before promptly hiding behind the larger and paradoxically named Lycanthrope. He only picked up on what had transpired from the conversation between the Man and their younger team member, poor thing . Still devemipibg brain exposed to suchg harsh stimuli would invariably result in some thyroid issues. He made a footnote to procure anti-depressants in future for the most likely soon future, before refocusing on the Eldar in the room.

    He looked between the rough sketch and the binaric notes, mostly questions decorating the few pages in his notebook. Unfortunately the concealing cloak did serve his purpose and he was for once glad he possessed no quandries such as medical oaths so he could in sound mind hope the ELdar suffered an i jury worthy of his attentions. Eldar didnt have regentive powers , did they ? A question for later.

    He caught on to the distress of a Runner when a lit lho stick bounced off the floor, next to the bar, full of flammable chemical compounds. Focusing on Minos' humming for a few moments he turned to Leo ( @Wata ) "if you would like i could discreetly slip sedatives into your drink if you find the day too stressful at a point where i think its appropriate " he offered attempting to curry favor with one of the stronger Members , a bump from the servo-skull hovering at his side also remonded him of the other possible reward Forming interpersonal connections right. Offering to drug someone was polite right ?

    'Don't worry about it Kadmus, I'm just in one of my moods didn't expect to get this bad in the head this early today.'

    Oberman spoke apologetically his respirator emphasizing the sound of his breathing as he spoke he examined the damage he had done as he craned his neck to see past Kadmus, he was honestly surprised not many people had noticed. Harris reached into the pocket of his work clothes and fished out 35 thrones placing them on the bar in front of Kadmus pushing them toward the bartender gingerly watching for who might see this action out in the open not that he felt that anyone nearby would try to grab the pile of coins.

    'Take this for the bottle I just broke, plus a little extra for a dose of Obscura in an injector if you got any behind the counter, I'll get some more thrones by taking a job on someone or doing money collection later, speaking of which do you have anything for me?'

    "Thank you. I shall make comfort based on what the group thinks best. Since I wish not to offend anyone with my presence - be it day or night. Also are there some sort of calls that shall be used to warn against incoming suspects, when on guard duty for example? Such as the sound of a bird, maybe? I must admit, it might take me some time to adjust to your codes, unique secret language that you just used, and similar." He nodded apologetically, referring to standard procedures he was used to when working with rangers planetside. Also he couldn't help but notice the low gothic sounding but not being low gothic language Yavana made use of to summon additional warriors.

    @Kalle
    "Just be glad I'm not one of my dark kin, or a Comorrite as you might have heard the term before. But I shall make sure to not let you get in such intimate situation with one. As their tongues can be quicksilver and their minds darker than a black hole, aiming at devouring your very soul essence." He warned seriously but offered a warm smile. Indeed Durijem was now a member of these Redlight Runners and it was part of his obligation to look out for every member.

    @High_Adept_Zeth
    "Should you ever need an additional pair of hands to mix beverages or such, let me know. I have learned one or the other aboard corsair vessels. Some really enjoyed their victory drink. And some who have lived for centuries really got too used to the common goods and had to get creative for a kick." His unwavering warm, friendly smile remained. His tongue not covered in slick honey, but warmed with kindness. Durijem stated this, before Kadmus went on to help with the girl. And once the overall well dressed man left, the Eldar decided to get behind the bar and continue the cleaning of used glasses. He rolled up the sleeves to his elbows, along with the long-sleeved shirt below to reveal his light craftworlder skin.

    @bossaroo
    As for the biologis adept, Durijem paid him no more heed for now, as it seems that the gaze itself scared him slightly off. Also the Eldar attempted to focus on his task at hand, even if it appeared menial, every duty should be fulfilled with utmost attention. But as his hands did the work and got into routine, his thoughts did not stop. Maybe it was the common xenophobia that frightened the red-robed pseudo-human? The former craftworlder couldn't make sense of it, maybe it was going to be better to talk to everyone on a one-on-one base and make sure nobody was afraid of him, just because he had pointed ears, awkward eyes and that he was at least a century and a half old - although none would be able to guess the latter piece without knowing the life cycle of an Eldar.

    "Heyyy, our resident biologist, how's it hanging?" Leo was a bit surprised he hadn't noticed Delmo earlier, maybe his hearing is suffering from all the gunfire in the past and loud music in this club during prime party time. He raised a glass in greeting and stood up. He stomped the cigarette butt out idly as he did so.
    "Nah, I'm good, thanks for that anyway. Don't want to narc it up too much, mind goes too foggy it gets weak. That is not good for keeping the rabies rage in check, y'know what I mean?"
    He took a sip and walked by the biologis, giving him firm two pats on the shoulder as he did so with a friendly smile.
    "I might ask for some substance later on, though."
    @bossaroo

    He went through the bar into the stage area and took a seat by a table near the main stage. He didn't have anything better to do, but enjoy their dancing girls and the booze.

    The toweled woman clearly looked shaken at what had unfolded just because of where she was. Looking at the Witch, and her guards, she said "I'm not gonna say a word to noone. Not the crew, not the fuzz, not anyone." She took Kadmus's arm carefully, ready to go somewhere else away from the rat and women who had pretty much bayed for her blood before the charming man stepped in to intervene.

    Like a balloon popping after its volume reached critical point, the atmosphere in the club noticeably deescalated as the girl took him by the arm. Thankfully there were no repercussions apart from few instances of wounded pride.

    Grateful for Leo`s considerable help, Kadmus performed a gentleman`s bow in a economic manner. The motion was quick, giving it a casual air as not to make this awkward for Leo or anyone else paying attention. His gloved hand at the waist level, Kadmus dipped his head as if in a respectful nod and bent over at waist just so slightly to show respect but not deference. The nuances of etiquette were subtle and maybe too much for the environment he found himself in - but sometimes the best way to show gratitude was with action. Words were often a hollow tool.

    With bouncers letting them through and Yavana`s Ashen Warriors turning to ash and sooth to let them past, Kadmus departed from club with a lady in tow.

    Walking down the streets of corrugated iron and pandemic filth was a far cry from pleasing experience spent in carefully cultivated gardens of the higher levels of the spyre, but Kadmus did not plan this foray to last long anyway. Underhive was not a place where one goes on relaxing walks - even if you can stomach the smell.

    Glancing at his charge, he was shocked to only now realize that the girl was with one hand clutching a towel that covered her torso. Undoing the buttons on his tuxedo he considered the next step of action. When in companionship one must do its utmost to make that person comfortable. Making her feel like a damsel in distress in an environment like this would be a grim insult on his part.
    Negotiating his way out of the tuxedo (the left sleeve being particularly hard to come off due to the bulky wrist-slate on his arm), he folded the shimmercloth suit over his hand and offered it to the girl.
    And there is her involvement with Miss Dantius to considering.

    @Maleth
    "Now that we are in each other`s confidence i must state this. Whoever and whatever you are is completely irrelevant to me Miss, as you could`ve noticed back there." (ooc: the club)
    He left the words hanging in the recycled air for a few moments, contemplating his next words.
    "In the inside pocket of the jacket you will find a slip of paper. On it is written a vox - frequency upon which you can reach me. I am looking for someone. I prize information and any odd or tough jobs you stumble upon. Anything."

    His dark red eyes glinting in poor attempt of street-globes to mimic morning light he added:
    "If you have anything for me, just reach out with the vox and ask for a booth at the Red Lantern. I will have one always reserved for you or any of your friends. Within the club i can ensure us discretion.".

    Now down to his white shirt and tie, he stood beside the girl, the tuxedo jacket in his proffered hand. His statesque countenance was broken for a moment as a smile threatened to curve across his countenance. The moustache and beard that connected and framed his face moved - it being the only indicator of the said smile, before resuming his stoic poise.

    "Apologies, Mamzel!" the previous bow was repeated, however this time the charming bartender bowed deeper indicating deference as well.
    "Kadmus Karnelian, at your service."
  8. A hooded figure wearing cloth and a lasgun slung over his back entered the Dancing Flame. He walked through the club carefully, trying to avoid running into or getting too close to anyone, lest they notice some more subtle details. The only way you'd even be able to tell he was a Tau is if you looked down at his hooves, or got a good look under his hood. He'd make his way to the bar, lasgun clinking against his back every step he took, taking a seat on one of the stools. He'd put a couple thrones onto the counter in a neat stack, and say,
    "I'll take a water."

    Looking at the new comer come now into this mess Dussoth spotted something odd about the the wonder his cloven feet as he did and spot his weapon he wondered who he was and what he was coming at this time already. Realizing where he had seen those type of feet before he understood possibly what this Stranger might be.

    "Oy beastmen s, have to ask you served in the auxilleries?" Dussoth asked curious if the stranger was a beastmen and if he had served in a abhuman auxlliery regiment similair to most abhumans.
  10. Vash'ya would chuckle, being mistaken for a beastman. He'd look over to the Reclaimator to his side. "Something like that, I guess." He'd lean in a bit closer to Dussoth, speaking in a slightly hushed tone. "By chance, do you work here? You wouldn't happen to be hiring, would you?"

    At the moment, Vash'ya was surviving by doing random jobs, some he isn't proud of, sometimes picking up thrones someone dropped in the alley. Hopefully, the Dancing Flame would hire.
