The Depths of the Hive: Hive Gang Redux

Discussion in 'Role Playing' started by Maleth, Apr 10, 2018.

  1. Matias quickly realized that the situation was turning more violent and chose to not actually react much. Whatever happened to the hive scum didn't really concern him, though ending up in an impromptu shoot out he had no stake in would be rather moronic. As such he chose to do nothing here, thinking that he may have made a mistake by joining this group only a few minutes in.

    As the morning dragged on with two more unexpected arrivals entered - all armed. Not to mention that everyone was on the side of edgy and angsty this morning apart from few, Yavana being one of them. No wonder she got so accustomed to a managerial role so quickly. She seemed like a natural leader.

    The usual morning routine was not only broken, but turned inside out as Harris threw his drink right back at him. Now to count how many times that has happened in the Underhive, it would be futile, due to the unstable clientelle. But despite that, he`d rather serve this bunch then his former masters.

    As that last thought crossed his mind, he thought of Ophelia but quickly focused at the task at hand.

    @Donairian
    Despite his elegant dodge, Harris missed him, but the flying glass collided with quite expensive bottle of Quaddis Wine.
    Kadmus straightened his tuxedo, correcting and wrinkles before staring at the visor-plate and respirator that was Harris`s face.
    For a moment, violence threatened to break out, which in-itself would be a natural reaction to this enviroment.

    "My apologies Mr Oberman. I am afraid, i am much more fatigued from last night then i suspected. For this offense to your needs i will marshal a recompese." Kadmus said with a honest bravado of a man who can and will fulfill what he says.

    In the end he could not bear a grudge toward someone concerning some incident, that was his own mistake. That, and bearing grudges was unhealthy and unbecoming of a man.

    @Uriel1339

    As if the morning could not be any worse! Kadmus looked up from the washsink and looked at the Eldar. The overly diplomatic tone not only betrayed his good manners, but reinforced the devious image the aliens had in general.

    Being a man of few words, Kadmus merely nodded and got back to his glassery. This is the last time he goes to sleep after a celebration before washing everything!

    Seeing the hostilities starting to escalate due to Maw`s impromptu timing and choice of escort. Tiny`s attempts at humor did not help:
    "The girls about to die. Pour her our finest will ya?"

    Kadmus released a sigh. A very tired sigh. And he had an entire day ahead of him, none was helping and there was a murder in the making.

    During the ruckus, he finally managed to get some of the work done. Drying his hands and donning back his white gloves, he approached Yavana`s side (diplomatically between her and Tiny) and added as if an afterthought:

    "Miss Yavana, if i may, i have a proposal as to your judgement. This mess hardly benefits anyone, after last night. Its evident we are all tired." the argument was unbecoming of the Runners. Despite them being a new group of people that are still settling in, arguing infront of the newcomers and strangers damages them in more ways then one.
    @Wata

    Moving between the two, he nodded seriously to Leo.
    "If you dont mind miss, follow me." he extended the crux of his forearm, indicating that she should grab it. Everything about the move was most tactfully done. Every move calculated, no wasted effort. He positioned his body just between the girl and the rest of the gang. A good, if not the best way to test the loyalty of his comrades. Just about a few, Leo and a couple of his bouncers had a clear shot at the girl.

    Tiny lowered his gun, seeing that Kadmus was in the way. He had just warned a member not fire upon another, and hypocrisy wouldn't get far, he knew. So he settled down, put away the gun and lit a cigar. He then headed to the bar to pour himself a strong one, now that Kadmus had vacated his position as bartender. Things had sure escalated, something that Tiny didn't like a whole lot. He then shouted for Corvie. "The gun's down juve, you can come back in!"

    Finally finishing his prayers and work within the utility room Dussoth nodded as he Harris acknowledging him. Walking out of the utility closet Dussoth quickly went back in as he saw Corvie and the others one of them with weapons out and Leo holding a women in the towel. Picking up his las gun he turned it on just in case things went bad.

    Walking out he looked over to them. "Oy what the hell did I miss? and why is this slowly possibly turning into a shoot out," Dussoth yelled looking to the others he spotted the odd spindly looking green bean looking fellow and the women in the tau and was suspicious if they were the cause. Dussoth kept his las gun down low but still ready in case things things began escalating any more.

    A resigned sigh left Yavana's lips as she was left standing there with Corvie's weapons, the girl storming out, emotional and outraged at what was going on. The girl had a good heart. But sometimes that got in the way of survival. She'd have to talk to her about all of this later.

    @High_Adept_Zeth
    When Kadmus appeared at her side she couldn't help but feel somewhat relieved, even in this mess of a situation he remained calm and poised. It helped her reorient herself. Naturally she knew he was right, this whole fiasco would not look good to the newcomers, hell it might even plain drive them away. This girl would have to prove her loyalty, but for now things just needed to remain calm. "I suppose we all did have a rather long night didn't we? Don't worry, this won't escalate any further, just keep a close eye on our guest."

    @Vulpas
    The unmistakably gruff voice of Dussoth suddenly burst into the room, signifying to her that his own morning 'ritual' was finished. Unsurprisingly he seemed just about as confused as everyone else as. Yavana raised a single hand to try to reassure him. "Good morning Dussoth. We had a complication come up, but it's being handled. In better news, it seems we have two new recruits."

    @Uriel1339 @TuskatheDaemonKilla
    Looking back over to said recruits who thankfully hadn't fled, Yavana bowed her head slightly in apology before speaking. "Apologies about that, we take our security fairly serious around here. If we haven't scared you off yet, feel free to claim a room, we have a few spare ones upstairs. Or in the basement if that's how you roll. We can over over your induction into the gang after you've settled in."

    With that said, Yavana's attention was back on the toweled woman. I hope for your sake you choose your next words carefully.

    "Go with, Kadmus. He's a looker, and polite for some reason. Just watch that towel, don't let him charm that off ya. Or you might end up dead." Leo pat the girl's cheek and let their bartender take care of her.

    Now though, all seems to have calmed down. He spiked his own drink now that Kadmus wasn't there. He did that by tossing the water out and pouring himself a stiff drink.
    "Twitchy wankers, the lot of ya." he mumbled to no one in particular and went after Corvie through the back.

    "Ey! Little C?!" He hollered at the back rooms, looking for her. "You alright, pup? Come out and see Leo, you got a bit pissy back there."
    He just stood there, waiting for her to come out. Enjoying the drink and what was left of his smoke in the meanwhile.

  7. Corvie was sitting on a small chair in the corner. evidently she'd taken her anger out on the wall as her knuckles were scuffed and bloody.

    "Hey Leo, Sorry about that, little display. I just can't stand them being so... callous. Reminds me of the Enforcers who killed my parents, see they were also killed for basically "being in the wrong place" they killed every person in that hab block, everyone but me. And now I feel we are sinking that low"

    "I see." Leo replied after a moments silence, during which he enjoyed his beverage. He grabbed a chair, put it in front of her and turned it around so he could lean his arms on the back rest. "I see, I see, I see..." He mumbled and took a seat, legs straddling with the back rest in between. He sighed and took a heavy drag of his smoke in contemplation.

    "It's a shit show out here, you understand that. I remember what we pulled you out from." He offered the glass for Corvie to drink. "I mean, I didn't get here just by being nice. I've done things, see. Best not described with a full stomach. I barely get a proper night's rest, I drink and get killing urges from time to time. We're all...well we're elbow deep in shit. We do what we gotta do, laws of survival. Always look out for number one, that's you, yourself. Basic rule. That's why they wanted to clip the chick, cover their own assess, I almost agreed with em. It would have been the easiest thing to do."
    His voice was low, like he cared actually thinking about what was the proper thing to say.

  9. "I understand that Leo, I really do, hell I've even got the blood on my hands to show for it"

    She sighed

    "But i didn't think they day would come when we'd suggest executing someone who posed no threat. killing someone who's unarmed just because she "might" know something."

    She thought for a little while, before suddenly jolting upright and her hands going to her hips.

    "My guns, I gave Yavana my guns, i need them back"

    She then gets up in something almost like a panic and rushed off to try and retrieve her precious laspistols.

    Leo had smelled the blood earlier on her hands but didn't think much of it since she seemed fine physically otherwise. He nodded while she talked, to show he understood.
    When she rushed off he didn't get a chance to reply. So he just stared at the empty chair in front of him.
    "Guess you don't want a sip." He said to the chair. "Good talk, we should do this more often. Thanks Leo, you were a big help." he flicked the cigarette against the wall and watched it fall to the ground. "Hurts to be so amazing sometimes." He mumbled into his glass while taking a drink.
