Lord Vandias stepped forward, and placed the metal charge upon the rudimentary wall which surrounded the Ork fort. After sever seconds of delay, enough time for him to retreat to safety, a large orange explosion ripped out. In the aftermath, a huge hole had been punched in to the fort, the superheated explosion had simply melted the thick metal plates away. --Ork fort-- ''Wutz dat lighty...fing?'' the boy asked, looking to another. ''I dunnaw, why don ya go luk?'' ''You go luk, ya filfy grot!'' ''Howz about ya bof go luk,'' the nob said, looming over both boyz. ''Yesh bosh.''
Storming into the breach Orghast and Kordius stuck to the sides more than comfortable being fleshy rotten meat shields, the Sergeant's own third eye rising on a tendril to scout the area as well. Gelon marched in after them and tracked his heavy bolter from left to right. Each Plague marine's finger found their weapons trigger the moment an Ork was spotted, opening fire on those who were left dazed and reeling from the detonation.
Udius moved behind the group, Byrn would remain safe and fire only if he would have a clear aim. "Those are savage beasts but know how to fight, be on high alert!"
As the group moved forward a pair of unsuspecting Ork boys turned the corner ahead, spotting the Chaos marines.
Atlas was next firing his bolter into any orks that got near he stayed near the group making sure to keep up and to keep firing.
One of the Orks was felled from the heavy Chaos Marine fire. The other, though, managed to scarper away. --Ork fort-- ''Boss, remember dat lighty fing?'' the boy asked, bursting back in to the room his Nob was waiting for him in. ''Course I do, wutz yer point?'' the nob growled back. ''Is da spikey humies!'' ''WOT? Da Chaos boyz iz 'ere?'' ''Dey are, boss.'' ''How did dat happen!?'' the Nob asked, grabbing the boy by the neck, as though it was his fault. ''I dunno boss.'' ''GAH!'' the Nob exclaimed, before he threw the boy aside. ''Wot you waitin for? Get out dere, and show dem spikey boyz a propa good fight!'' ''Waaaagh!''
"Maggot Kin forward! , Dark Apostle with us, we'll carve a path toward the Summoning Area, let the slaughter fuel that summonings as quickly as possible. " Orghast thumped along behind the orkish huts and ramshackle buildings, opening fire on those he saw between the structures while Gelon sprinted along, slowing only to lend his Heavy Bolters fire power to those areas Orghast had passed to make sure the Orks weren't going to have an easy time of advancing. Kordius kept near to their Dark Apostle acting as a guard of sorts to make sure nothing happened to their trump card.
A group of Orks who were at the time of the explosion stuck with the sentry duty high on the battlements, ran towards the sight of the orange explosion. They were surprised when it happened, since they spent most of their time fighting in a ram shack "guardhouse." The Ork fort didn't actually have a battlement, it was more a thick metal plate, no more than two meters wide, welded to the wall. Orks, famous for their recklessness, ran at full tilt towards the explosion. But the Daemon was onto that. It was a perfect time for him to test his new-old wings. The night was beginning to fall and the darkness provided him ample of cover as he soared higher and higher. When he reached the charging Orks, he didn't even try to kill them one by one. Instead, he slammed his hammer with all his might into the metal plate, causing it to bulge and twist, sending a shockwave through the Orkish ranks. The Greenskins began to swing on their feet, trying to somehow regain balance but their crazed running made that attempt impossible to pull out. The group fell down into the courtyard, and Karg-zar followed them like a bird of prey. Orks were also very resilient creatures and half of them survived the crash with few broken limbs. But they weren't able to survive what came next. The Daemon crashed into the Orks, who were still dazed and trying to get on their feet. The cursed hammer cried, and the "battle" was over in couple of seconds. Now, properly bloodied, Karg-zar followed the Plague Marines guarding the Dark Apostle, towards their ultimate goal.
Ahead a group of six slugga boys, eight shoota boyz, and their Nob leader emerged from a building. They Nob and slugga's charged at the Chaos Marines, whilst the shootas sat back and rained fire upon the Corsairs. Lord Vandias killed one of the sluggas, his sword sinking in to it's upper torso, and his bolter blowing its face away.
The dreaded one took a aimed shot with his gun. And shot the nob dead center in the cheast. Making a big hole and knocking the ork backwards. He then jumped forwards, putting his sword into the chest of one of the slugga boys, looking a third dead in the eye, as it then turned to run in fear.
