    --Mission One--

    Overview:
After intercepting a distress transmission from a damaged Ultramarine Frigate, The Shield of Ultramar, the Red Corsair Slaughter Cruiser, Benediction of Hate, accompanied by three Iconoclast Destroyers - Maw of Despair, Harbinger of Judgement and Unyielding Night (a former Night Lord ship) - set an intercept course, eager to pillage the loyalist's ship.

Having sustained damage in a prior battle, elsewhere in the sector, the Shield could only muster a minor fightback as the four Corsair ships closed in. With its engines disabled under fire from the Maw and Harbinger, the ship had been denied any hope of escape.

The Shield was likely to have no more than a single squad of loyalists aboard, with the crew mostly chapter serfs. The Chaos Lord in command of the Benediction, Vandias the Unbroken, wetted his lips in anticipation. Where had this ship been going, and what were they carrying which may be of value to him?

As they neared their stricken prey the Red Corsair, Lord Vandias, summoned his motley crew of warriors, to make ready for a boarding party.

    Briefing:
''Slave,'' Lord Vandias growled to the human behind him, ''go, bring me the men most eager to pillage this Ultramarine vessel, I await them in the briefing room.''

''Yes, mighty one,'' the slave said, bowing. Even without looking, the Chaos Lord knew the slave had bowed. Of course he had, the last slave to show disrespect had lost his head to his sword, and this slave knew better than to tempt such a fate.

''Navigator, I want us beside with that cripple before I return,'' he ordered, turning away from his view port and leaving the bridge. A few steps beyond the bridge sat another door, to his right, through which the briefing room awaited him. He entered, the doors parting as his mighty bulk passed through, and stood at the opposite end of the room, waiting to see who would volunteer for this next glorious conquest.

The slave returned, with four men in tow. First came Orghast, the plague marine, a disgusting parody of what was once a man. Flies buzzed about him, his armour decayed and disgusting, the constant strench which accompanied him brought a slight feeling of nausea to even the hardened Chaos Lord. If not for his martial prowess, Vandias may have jettisoned his putrid form in to space. Next came Udius Kain, a Havoc through and though. This former Son of Guilliman had been regarded with disdain when he initially arrived, but had since earned his place among the warband.

He was followed by Mayron, the noise marine, a typical Slaanesh devotee, he placed his own pleasure above any other goal. Yet he was effective in combat. At least he doesn't stink, Vandias thought, staring at Orghast. Last to arrive came Proditum Amico, the Aspiring Champion, one who Vandias regarded with suspicion. What kind of astartes favours stealth above might? the Lord had often wondered.

Vandias smirked beneath his helm, what a depraved bunch, he mused, they will do well.

''The Chaos Gods have brought us a gift on this day, brothers. The The Shield of Ultramar, a Gladius Frigate of the hate Ultramarines. We have disabled the ships engines, and silenced her guns. You men will be my boarding party, you will act on my behalf, you will bring back anything of value, and you will be rewarded for doing so,'' Vandias said, staring at the men from behind his eye-lenses.

''Now go! Show them the Dark God's strength, deliver them from their pathetic existence and, in Huron's name, kill them all!''

OOC stuff: Don't forget that this is a Chaos RP, so you don't have to follow each other around, or even get along (no friendly fire, though). Want to go to the bridge? Then go. want to collect every shiny thing you see? Then collect. The base principle on this mission is to kill the crew and secure whatever cargo the ship is carrying (and, since it's a SM ship, who knows what goodies there may be? ;))

Orghast let forth a wheezing chuckle that devolved into gurgling on the diseased mucus in his bloated throat that resembled a croaking toads. It was a joy of his to bring the Fly Lords gifts to the unenlightened, they strove so hard to preserve their lives when no matter what they would all die. Their cries of agony were but strained calls of thanks to him and he was more than happy to bring them such a gift. The swarm of fat black flies around him buzzed incessantly and where their noise may of been a nuisance to most the Noise Marine with his altered hearing may find them and the uneven tones of slow wing beats and their droning hum far far worse.

He stood apart from the others because of them, only those who had accepted the blessings of Papa Nurgle were spared their acidic bites if they came near him, unfortunately for the champions and Chaos Lords they had not and the odd insect drifted toward them to try and sample their flesh.

"As you command Lord Vandias. " Orghast' voice sounded as if he were constantly fighting back violent hiccups and the speed at which he projected the words made it apparent he couldn't speak long without too much bile flooding his throat and muting him. Reaching to his side he grabbed his bolter; an ugly misshapen weapon with intestine like tubes growing from the stock and loaded bolt clip that merged with his flesh and began pumping his own plagued blood and phlegm onto the rounds. He favored kraken rounds as their improved penetrative power allowed his disease to make it deep inside his foes no matter their armor.

"Do we go by boarding torpedo or gun ship?" Giving his bolter's clip a good smack to make sure it was in place caused some of the sickly pus to leak out between the gaps and some of it coughed forward from the muzzle onto the floor where it made the metal rust and melt away.

''A Caestus Assault Ram sits in the hanger, awaiting your arrival. It will deliver you in to the enemy ship,'' Vandias said.

More than pleased by the development Orghast trundles off toward the Hangar and loads up into one of Assault Rams. The Pilot gags as the Plague Marines stench fills the interior and the flies begin to set upon him and taste the sweet untainted meat.... "I recommend setting us on collision course before dieing friend. " A heavy armored hand came upon the pilots shoulder and he shuddered with revulsion. spewing vomit into his lap and onto the controls he pecked away at the proper buttons to launch the ram and set it on course for the Frigate. His duty done the man died, flesh rotting off his bones and hanging like heaps of moss from bone while the flies broke down muscles, organs and flesh into a bloody gruel to drink up, Orghast looked upon this with a sort of parental pride. Taking a seat he awaits contact...

OOC: Letting Akragth decide where the assault ram makes contact!

''My Lord!'' the human said, bursting in to the bridge. ''They're pulling alongside us.''

Sergeant Alren, of the Ultramarines, looked grimly to his brothers.

''The situation is dire. We must hold our position, we must defend our cargo. These traitors cannot be allowed to take what we carry. Arm the serfs, we must delay them until our reinforcements arrive!''

Mayron followed the servant through the ship's corridor. It has been a week in real-time since he actively joined the Red Corsairs. It was a brothel but , for his tastes , quite a mild one. As they walked , he finally realised that there where others there aswell , forming a little group. He had seen them ofcouse and more accurately , heard them , but still , he didnt really gave any notice. He was kind of hoping they were heading to a different direction. Alas , Slaanesh's attention was far from his spot at the moment. And for a very good reason. There hasnt been any performances for a painfully long amount of time. Mayron tried to quelch his anticipation by skinning some mortal assets he found wandering the ship but still , their screams barely touched his brain.

As they walked in the room they faced yet another bloated primate clad in astartes armour. Some fool who ordered around and fancied himself a chaos lord. But still better than the living sack of feces that stood some metters next to him.

During the briefing Mayron entertained himself with a little snip from his drug pack , not really caring about what the champion was talking about. After all , it was not like he could die or something. The moment he realised this was a four-person opperation all interest waxed away from him anyway. Four chaos marines make for a poor choir , even when it is him leading the concert.

Mayron pulled out a particularly exotic syringe from his pack and inserted it in an special socket that was crafted in his armor's wrist guard. He always wanted to have one of those in-built drug providers in his suit but never got the chance. The drug crawled through his veins and flooded his system. Maybe a hundred years ago Mayron would be screaming in excitement by now , however , not anymore. The narcotic just made the pressence of the surrounding company beareable.

Once the briefing finally stoped , the plague marine grabed the chance to put up some badly scripted act of flattery and loyalty. As if it would make him any good with that face of his. Mayron left a little sigh and felt so good to have his helmet on.

Normally , he would have gone with the torpedo. Faster , louder plus the long missile-shaped sell penetrating the enemy ship always makes for quite a symbolism. But Mayron couldnt stand being in such a comfined place with these brutes , especially the Nurglite. Not ever. Either way he would wait and see what the decision would be. If he could go about it without having to exchange any words with any of them would be the best case scenario.
