The situation was definetely uncertain for Ead Ztompa's stormboys, as the Eldar were effectively fighting back. The losses were heavy, and only the ambushing commandos and the approaching traitors gave his boys some respite.

However, the Urrikan Smashas were definetely being beaten with style. The evasive raiders circling around were blown to bits by the detonations of rokkit paks, impaled still breathing orks were swirling the exodites holding their lances, the boys still on the air landed on the swift vehicles attempting to hijack or destroy them.
There was even a greenskin with deep cuts all over the body, who seemed to have started showing collateral effects due to the high amount of drugs injected by the wyches. The ork, infact, seemed to have lost the little sanity he had, and went into a frenzy savage state, abandoning his weapons and starting to use his rokkit pak like an improvised club.

Still, Ead Ztompa couldn't help but enjoy the fight, and keep in mind what he came for.
Yelling as loudy as possible, the Deffskull ordered the survivors to withdraw, trying to be pursued towards the ambush location by as many jetbike riders as possible.

For what concerned Krooza Nob, instead, he wanted to stay for what he realised to be an extremely entertaining duel.
For a moment, the greenskin stared at the Eldar in front of him, but then he turned his attention towards the traitor, while saying "Sorry Panzie, but dem Spikey wuns give a moar funny foight. Just take yer ticket, Oi'll be back as soon as possible for ya!"

As he dismissed the alien, Ead Ztompa called for the chaos champion, with a challenging tone
"Ohi ya Git! Was it ya oo told Oi's a giant idiot? Kauze Oi wunna beat da Gork'nd Mork outta ya!"

Finally the stormnob stopped talking and started his attack, charging straight toward his opponent at full speed. As he approached the target, the ork extended his right fleshy arm, preparing to launch a wide sweep with his Golden Fixa.

The Warp-twisted knives his opponent was holding seemed really dangerous, but Ead Ztompa was sure of something: he could be more dangerous than any sharpened object!

Size is a symbol of strength - a notion lethal to the mind, worthy of the lessen races and those who are not around to think so anymore. Caedessin sighed, extending a Razorflail further and striking to make it meet the Orken leg, hopefully tripping him as it met crucial nervous terminals. At times, death hides in the smallest of gestures, the innocuous decisions... The fairest of roses.
The Iylaadr Lacerai braced herself in case the Ork still somehow kept momentum - the impulse would send her flying past the greenskin and into the Chaos agent.

Around, the Eldar utilized the clashing foes to make their escape. One moment a Chaos fiend met the Eldar blade, the next he was somehow clashing against an Ork - the star-child nowhere to be seen. There an Ork was chasing an Eldar only to be led into the Chaos lines.
The Corsairs loaded into their transports and from the skies came the Eldar fighter crafts and bombers to open up a path for them to withdraw. Losses had been heavy and dire, but the objectives had been met. Only Caedessin, Thirialanyr's Serpent, and a handful others were unable - or unwilling - to retreat at this point.

  4. Kragg being ahead of most of the chaos forces with his men charge into the mesh of eldar and orkz he kept blasting everyone into pieces with his blast master it could be heard echoing through the battle field as long with his bellowing laughter the speakers on his pauldrons and inbedded in them were giving out near visible sound waves "SCREAM TO BE HEARD YOUR WORTHLESS SACKS OF FLESH!" He starts bashing some orkz with the head of his cannon and then rams it through his stomach and shoots it blowing him up and his guts scatter everywhere then continues to laugh maniacally

Ned following zials champion "uhhh sir dont ya fink we should go and kill them all errr something" ned keeps fidgeting with his gun a mounts on a huge bayonette at the tip of his ripper gun for those close quarters moments @Lord_Zial_Ghoul

The bloody damn unorky git, Ead Ztompa thought, as a terrible pain was enveloping his leg.
He used all his forces to ignore the harm the Razorflail was causing, since it was piercing through meat and bones as the pressure was increasing.

He didn't want for sure trip in front of the chaos warrior, that would have been terribly shameful for the greenskin.
In order to compensate for the failing leg and save the momentum, Krooza Nob triggered even more hidden thrusters planted somewhere within his contraption of a rokkit pak.

If he had to crash somewhere, that would have been against the chaos champion, not the ground for sure!

"COME ON, LADS! DON'T LET EM GO AWWAY!"
Skarlug, who was temporarily leading the surviving Urrikan Smashas, was inciting his comrades to keep harassing the retreating Eldar.
So far, the Outcasts didn't seem at all interested in pursuing the stormboys, which wasn't supposed to happen.
If the boss would have learnt that his subordinates didn't get even a single jetbike, the boys would have better had died in that fight.

Terrified by what could happen if he failed , Skarlug convinced the rest of the squad to engage from the air with their sluggas and shootas the Eldar transports who were trying to evacuate the troops, and immediately retreat anytime the ground forces tried to counter their raids.

Sooner or later, with those Hit-and-Run tactics, the panzies would have had to send some of their bike riders to deal with them, Skarlug hoped.
  6. *Xavius* @KroozaNob @Banshee
It only took Xavius a split second to realize that the ork was about to charge him, and a second longer to realize the Eldar was about to do something quite dangerous, however the Ork's activation of his rokit pack convinced him to stick with the ork challenger for the moment being. Twisting around just as the Ork came came laucing full force Xavius narrowly dodge the massive Ork's weapon, bringing his elbow up at just the right time as to give the Ork a little more momentum on his way forward. Now noticing the deadly Eldar, Xavius flipped his blades upside down in his hands, and charged in a small zig zag pattern towards the xenos, a smile on his narrow face.

Underneath the shattered mountain, the Sorcerer Azakael and a small cabal of sorcerers were furiously attempting to keep the psychic shield they had put in place around the mountain stable. The sheer weight of the blasts rainig down from the void was causing rips in the shield, and soldiers and vehicles entering the battlefield would be stopped dead by immense blasts of lethal energy. The Cabal of sorcerers we're not holding too well either, and under the psychic strain more than a few of the Tzeentchian's crumbled to dust. Azakael having no other option, attempted to make contact with the other continent before the strength of his associates utterly failed him.

"My Lord. We have no time. The warp rift is taking damage, though the fluctuation remains unharmed I fear the runes holding the portal as an open gateway will soon be destroyed by the Inperial's warships. Send Leoroth at once. We must leave a crucial dent in the emperor's forces"

Resuming his exertions, Azakael realized the call had to great a strain on his subordinates as two more had succumbed to the extra pressure in just a few short seconds.

Out in the field, the Chaos army was running havoc with the Imperials and Xenos. Somewhere down the line a mauler fiend managed to get a hold of a chimera, it's flamer unleashing it's fullfury in the daemon engines face until with a horrible crack the tank was violently ripped in half, the human contents of the vehicles spillig out onto the ground to be crushed or impaled seconds later as the top section exploded in the monsters giant hand. Elsewhere the cultists and Chaos astartes had managed to enter the trenches of the guardsmen, cutting a heavy swathe through as they tried to reach the more promising basilisk targets.

One Astares had managed to make it further than the rest though, and Amriel looked at the scene of destruction he had just caused, another bunker destroyed and some karskin dead... A meaningless endeavour but essential nonetheless. Looking away from his last spoil, the Assassin could only help but notice a few meganobs out in the field however those targets were too likely to cause damage to himself, so he ignored them entirely, just to notice a chimera tank, around a half mile away, backing slowly into the deeper portions of the base, a boldly dressed man appearing to shout something before retreating into the folds of the vehicle. Smiling, and preparing his blades the assassin climbed the wall leading into the deeper fortress, and disappeared within.

  7. Donairian Donairian Ordinate

Speaking at length into the Vox communicator Jacob was professionally coordinating the artillery barrages as they rained down on both the clashing forces of chaos and the Greenskins, using the binoculars provided by the Leman Russ crew to observe the battle he was reciting target positions to the Vox operator. A new set of coordinates was relayed and a salvo of Earthshaker rounds from basilisk battery Tertius rained down on a clumped up group of Orks and chaotic forces in the distance obliterating the combatants of that particular engagement in a conflagration of fire and smoke.

The guardsmen still fighting below in the dugouts had organised themselves into far more efficient fire teams to combat the declining tide of Orks rushing to engage them in close combat, using the remaining flamer specialists and the heavy weapons teams they were laying down a withering rate of fire on the Greenskins still incoming. With the reduced pressure on the outer perimeter Dalimond had resigned himself from frequently giving orders for the time being leaving the task of organizing the men to the still present junior officer. In preference he was instead communicating with the ever compliant artillery support while keeping a watchful eye on the assembled guardsmen for any sign of weakness, he had already had to execute one guardsman for cowardice it would pay to make sure no more try to follow his example.

He was momentarily distracted from his observations by the arrival of the Cadian 543rd who had recently arrived on the front line bringing reinforcements, Colonel Bassk the leader of the regiment had drawn up alongside the Punisher tank to greet him. According to what he said he was constructing a forward command post to further organize defensive efforts on the front line, also the arrival of his line infantry had further strengthened the integrity of the base's outer perimeter providing further area denial to the greenskins who were suffering all the harder from the split in their forces.

Commissar Dalimond allowed himself a small smile, at this rate it might become prudent to advance into the conflict themselves to mop up the remainder of the Xenos forces once the basilisks had suitably thinned their numbers. Before they did that however they needed a structured Command team present on the front line including additional numbers of guardsmen platoons, Chimeras and Leman Russ tanks, they also needed to time their moment perfectly for when the battle was most in their favor. Changing the frequency of his communicator he called Gortex 340th regimental command.

'Commissar Dalimond to Gortex regimental command, requesting the dispatch of a forward command team to assist Colonel Bassk in setting up a command post placed in the outer perimeter support trenches. Also prepare the mobilization of three additional Leman russ tanks and another half a company of Chimeras, we will need another three platoons on the field ready to advance if necessary.'

As Jacob finished what looked like the finger of the god emperor himself descended from the sky onto the rift from where the traitor forces were emerging erupting into an almost blinding flash of tremendous power engulfing the surrounding area in a sea of unleashed energy vaporizing all in its wake. The noise of the impact was incredible and Gortex guardsmen in the trenches almost wavered and broke at the sight and sound of the destruction, it was only by the barked order of Dalimond himself to hold position that the frontline held. A large dust storm swooped down towards the outer perimeter and hit the frontline like a tempest buffeting the guardsmen in the dugouts and nearly knocking Jacob off the top of the Punisher tank were it not for him quickly bracing himself on the opened hatch of the Leman russ tank. as the dust cloud cleared the devastation beyond was immense, though fighting still continued between both the Orks and the forces of chaos the guardsmen and officer of the Gortex 340th were visibly shaken, even Jacob was caught off guard by the force of the storm. regaining his composure Dalimond regained his footing on the top of the tank before looking on at the carnage, he muttered under his breath.

    'By the Emperor...'

  9. Suddenly... A massive earthquake shakes the battle field. The ground shakes and shudders as the very earth crumbles together. From the wart a massive worm like beast comes up, it is massive, almost matching a imperial emperor class battle cruiser. It is ginormous. It is covered in thick carapace, black in colour. The mouth is a true gateway to hell wide enough to swallow a army of itself. It lets out a horrifying skreetch, apparently scared / angered by the heavy bombardment. It skreetches again, apparently not finding a enemy as it looks over the armie, it's body plates being too thick for them to be a threat. It begins to dig down again, leaving two massive mounds of dirt, rock and dust left.

As the Imperial Guard rained hell from the skies and shards of earth flew all around her through the explosions, the Intemperate Princess flew towards the dark knight. She twirled in the air like a whirlwind of blades, her half-liquid bones being strained to the limit by the Orken's charge. If she had been part of a lessen race with a solid bone structure she would have been incapacitated right there and then, but the Eldar had mastered their own biology long ago.
The attack was surely too fast for anyone to avoid as the Children Of The Stars were the fastest intelligent being in the universe - but Caedessin was not only that: she was the apex predator of the Eldarin race, the feared and deadlier Fallen, a Dark Eldar. Barely visible as she darted forth, she trained her strike upon the enemy's helm. The blow would either tear it off or constrict it, which would give the Lacerai something to stop her flight path with.
