A skin mod on weapons and wot not would work as well. Would probably be easia' ta' deal wit' since yer appearance tab would then need ta' know which weapon ye 'ave equip currently, and den display only appearances fer said weapon
@FleshAlgorythm Still has the best concept in my opinion. All Relic/RTS weapons should be master crafted skins that can be modded like any other master crafted weapon. Done, that is all, they are a master crafted weapon with a skin. This removes the concept of pay to win, but it does allow for a great side grade option for new players (for example, someone who wants to just start the game out with a cool looking power fist and not have to pay to unlock it). Weapons like Abaddons Grace, which have a unique power (the flaming rounds), should be unlocked in the 30k chests. Simple, right? (PS: It is also my hope that Master Crafted weapons are made to actually be worth taking, as 100 loadout points for an extra 25 durability is just silly expensive).
We are having "this" discussion again, because unlike the other times when it felt like we were talking to a wall (probably cause the team felt their way for the store was something that could work, and they were adamant in trying it), this time they personally acknowledged that their community doesent like their approach, so they are going to change it. The point of the thread (and the relating poll) is to represent what change people want now that the original concept for the store the devs wanted didnt pan out as it should, to show them that they shouldnt go around trying to make an attempt to craft some Frankenstein-tier system that will end up not being liked again but actually go with what the majority of the community wants, and just switch to a skin-centric store. The poll nicely shows what people want, them not going the route the people want (without a genuine good reasoning and explanation beforehand) would be shooting themselves in the foot.
Muwahaha, remember my old poll about terminators at launch and how many ppl aproved of it? And what? There are dozens of polls where ppl clearly state what they want or dislike and they are ignored and have been ignored. The devs continually making yummy brownies, I guess they must simply like it.
Not going to turn this thread into another useless debate, i wrote to Galen why i brought up the particular topic at this particular point in time, due to the current events. Wether people think the devs will listen to this or not is something that is a wait and see at this point. They have been summoned to give their thought on the matter, now its their turn wether they keep silent about it or address the wishes of the community on this topic.

Better late than never eh? Is there any evidence(or any sign) that they will do so and not ignore this one aswell as they have with the rest?
Most RTS appearence items...don't work with chaos armors....not sure how it is for the rest. As soon as you use daemon forged or warp forged armor...or a MARK. Most appearence items get kind of pointeless. I would though create more customization options. Skulls...pikes....armor decay....scars....Inks....reall costumization that you could purchase with RTS. Currently, most RTS weapons are crap...aside a scarce few....i still think that you shouldn't buy power, but if the intention is to have Relic weapons....they should be more than just a skin.... At least have some kind of visual effect differently...or a Gameplay change with that specific weapon. Unique mods....that make that weapon special...
I would prefer if they just took the weapon and allowed you to remove the mods and swap them out for others. Skins would be fine to though.
