The plague marine thought, then looked to his swarm. They were ready for this! The plague marine nodded, "A very excellent plan. Proceed." At the snap of his finger, the swarm began to rustle their wings. preparing for takeoff.
Malrak shook in diguest at the insects crawling out of the Nurglite even more so than Satharn and thanking his god for the mark on his chest that protects him from such things. Though despite his clear disgust at the action he also agreed with the tactic. "Yes a sound plan as said I will remain here and possibly provide a look out until you call upon me. Oh and I do apologize for the sudden philosophy I just enjoy discussion much more than this dreadful activity we call war." He waved his hand dismissively as he found a rock or something to sit on while the astartes left to do their work. He would psychically scan the battlefield and general area around him for anything of note finding it better than using his eyes. A soul can tell you much more about it's owner than their physical appearance and besides he would much rather not look at the impending blood bath.
@Uriel1339 , @Casavay "Well then, time for an impromptu rescue then?" Latrynix asked her group, seeing that there was someone who from what she could see had a very clear reason to side with them, had the bravery to dash up the ridge even with a squad hot on their heels. Naturally, that made them prime material for the group, even if such bravery was often coexistent with a distinct lack of brain cells. Deciding that she needed to do something quick yet not too revealing of the team's presence to aid the potential recruit, the Wych decided to toss her dagger handle first (something she'd never though she had to do for a Mon'Keigh) towards the escapee, so that at least he could free himself from his bindings before her lot could pop out and shoot the Cadians for him.
@BuriasDempsey @Casavay @matt23 @Vulpas @Maleth "Let's help him!" Lurielle said and got out of her cover, still knelt to stabilize her shooting. "Thirty Feet distance plus or minus five. We are in effective fire range! Let the fire rain upon them!" The eager Fire Warrior said enthusiastically and without even waiting for Latrynix - because waiting for an order could mean death for the poor soul down there - started to fire away with her Pulse Rifle on the Cadian Soldiers. Perhaps it was deep buried hatred against the Imperium of Mankind? Perhaps it was impatience? Not even Lurielle could tell as all she wanted is their death so that the enemy of their enemy could become their friend.
"Agreeded Luiralle after the battle I will go down to see if I can check if he has any wounds," Felana said as she took position by Luiuralle with her lasgun out and readied to fire upon the cadians. "Think he needs my arm burrowed?" She asked wondering how the escapee was with auto pistols.
After succesfully having started to bleed the massive world eater, he was once again given a grim reminder of why he should plegde himself to nothing, being aproached should stay hus only choices even weighted. Pulling out his sword as he quickly backstepped a few steps, "Still want more Crakis?" Beowulf said though still on hos guard, the world eater properbly blinded in his rage. (OOC: balanced attack & defence)
@Jorimel "I agree with Satharn's plan." Vlad looked towards the outpost and noted the coming dusk. "Not quite what I prefer but I can do it. Why don't we wait until they change posts or till dusk comes? It would make it much easier and I think it would be worth the wait. Of course we are on a tight schedule...well I guess it is your call, brother. I am ready if you are."
"Time is of the essence, Brother," Satharn said, "though if we had more of it, I'd go with your suggestion." "Let's go."
@Grall_Stonefist Crakis roared out in rage as the World Eaters around him seemed to growl in anger, of sorts. He then shouted out, "A mere dog shall not best a true warrior! This has only begun, son of Russ!" The enraged warrior then charged in at the Space Wolf fast enough to bypass his defense and drive his chainaxe into Beowulf's shoulder. Luckily, the armor did not give to the sharp teeth and powerful engine of the weapon, however; the force of the blow was enough for Beowulf to feel his collar bone break. This attack, though telling of the strength of who he faced, did leave the berserker open to attack and Beowulf wasted little time slashing a whole clean through the stomach of Crakis, lending more blood a way to pour forth. @TuskatheDaemonKilla @seabass @Jorimel @Virgil_Corbec Without having to say a word, a very light buzzing of small wings could be heard coming from within Tyresius' armor. Small flies, larvae, and various other flying insects, began to pour forth from every crack and gap within the Plague Marine's armor. The swarm gathered around the group a moment, seemingly stretching out their wings, before taking a sharp turn up towards the dark sky. The noise from the large swarm began to build as they circled overhead, which the guardsmen could visually be seen reacting to noise. With the extremely loud swarm doing exactly what they were instructed, Vlad and Satharn moved in towards the observation post using the shadows and cover of night. Making their way towards the North side of the observation post, they went easily unseen as the confused Cadian guardsmen looked all around trying to figure out where the loud 'buzzing' noise was coming from. Two very unlucky guardsmen had decided to take a break from their guard shift and smoke a few lho-stick. Smiling and joking among themselves, they could not see their deaths coming as, in unison, Satharn decapitated one of the guards with a quick slash of his lightening claw while Vlad took his combat knife and drove it through the guardsman's back and into his heart, stopping it instantly. It would be very quick, however; that their luck would change. Smelling the new deaths in the area, the swarm's obedience quickly changed as they made a quick turn towards the base, engulfing it within seconds. Many of the guardsmen wildly fired into the air, doing little more than making themselves look like fools. Luckily, there were four guardsmen on different ends of the base, armed with flamers, who fired them into the air, holding some of the swarm at bay and lighting up the area more. Being closest to the dead bodies, Vlad and Satharn were quickly surrounded by the swarm, though they did not harm the two but instead they annoyed and made their vision hard to focus. Regardless, the two sons of the Night Hunter were still going unnoticed, for now at least. Malrak had used this time to scan about the observation post, trying to sense if there was any person on interest there. He could sense two strong-willed individuals, who were more than likely two of the following: a commissar, some kind of priest, or higher ranking officers. After the swarm seemed to go about their own business, he then began to sense a third individual, much stronger and giving off a Warp signature. The more he continued to focus on this new individual, the more powerful it would seem to grow, but at the same time there was something about this one that was vaguely familiar. @BuriasDempsey @Uriel1339 @Vulpas @Maleth @Casavay Talifar looked over to Latrynix and shook his head, "You guys go rescue whoever the hell that maybe, if he is even useful at all. I will stay here and keep my eyes on the others in case something goes wrong." Done below, the Cadian sergeant did not let up with time on his insults, "You see guys? This is what happens when you become a deserter! You turn yellow, and learn the art of the coward." A roar of laughter came from the other guardsmen as Kombous continued to hide behind the rock, trying to figure out what he was going to do. Suddenly, as if a guardian angel had watched from above, he saw a dagger impact into the rock next to his head. With a little strength, he was able to withdraw the knife from the rock and cut his ties. However, what could one man do with a dagger against a squad of Cadian guardsmen? Luckily, Kombous would not have to find out the answer to that question. From above his head, higher on the ridge, came a volley of fire that none had seen coming. Felana's lasgun his home on one of the guardsman's leg, dropping him to a knee, while her second volley saw another hit square between the eyes, killing him instantly. Latrynix's splinter pistol, spitting forth its deadly crystals, dropped another guardsman, causing him to scream out in pain. Lurielle, whom seemed to be adjusting quite well to her new blessings, acquired three guardsmen with extreme speed and killed each just as quickly, with head shots. Lastly, Lahamu stepped forward, towards the edge of the ridge, and extended out her hard towards the confused and overwhelmed Cadian squad. In an instant, the ground below the Cadian squad began to moan out in pain as it split open and swallowed a couple of the guardsmen. With the surprise attack and this new 'magic' being used against them, the sergeant yelled out, "Fall back to the trenches!" Before he could even finish the order, last two guardsmen were practically tumbling down the hill to get away. Lahamu then lowered her hand, causing the moaning of the earth to stop. They were now clear to go down and find out just who the heck this was, and what he was doing here. However, in the background, they could here a strange buzzing noise that seemed to grow and fade in strength. OOC: Due to the roll success, I made this more of a narrative battle seeing as you all had 4 crit success (to include Lahamu's spell).
@BuriasDempsey @matt23 @Vulpas @Maleth @Casavay Lurielle was the first running down the hill, while yelling, "Good job everyone!" It was important to acknowledge it was teamwork which made it a swift victory. The Maroon hair was tied in a ponytail to remain behind her head and it bounced left and right as she sprinted at top speed, running quite a tad faster than a common human. Swiftly she arrived next the saved human, her rifle was pointed at the ground as she smiled widely at him. "Hey there! We saw you were in trouble and decided to help you! My name is Lurielle. Fireblade of Queen Ereshkigal, whom we serve! Our Cadre leader is Latrynix, the Dark Eldar." She pointed at the figure of Latrynix in the distance. "What is your name? Don't tell me it's Lucky. I knew a Kroot with that name. Let's just say he was not quite as lucky as he thought." The overly excited, somewhat panting Gue'vesa soldier giggled. Her Fire Warrior armor must have looked strange to the fellow as it did to many. And if he read an updated primer he might even have recognized the emblem of the Tau Empire on her shoulder pad, as well as the shape and colors of her Pulse Rifle, accompanied with the holstered Pulse Pistol and everything else about her gear - with the exception of a lacking helmet. Her eyes were wide, curious and filled with compassion and a kindred spirit. Her hair was maroon and of medium-length like a typical soldier.
