@Maleth | @Casavay | @Vulpas Lurielle took a deep breath and smiled. "If I cannot worry about Beowulf then what about Malrak? He is the only normal human amongst three Astartes." She tilted her head and looked then curiously over to Lahamu on her statement. "Five Elements? Fire, Earth, Air, Water and the Heavens? Or do you have a different concept of elements?"
@Maleth @Vulpas @Uriel1339 "No, you are correct, though the proper term would be 'Aether' or 'Firmament'. 'Quintessence', if the Sorcerer in question was particularly pompous. The stuff of the warp, the blue of the heaven, and the black between the stars." Lahamu nodded as she spoke, slightly impressed with her knowledge. "It is of particular interest to the Ectomancers among my colleagues."
"Yes," said Satharn to Malrak, patiently, "I know. That is why I singled you out as sounding Human. That's all, Shorty." He couldn't be seen rolling his eyes, not in the red-lensed helmet. "As for screaming it won't be a matter of a frantic massacre, but a stealthy kill, one by one, fast and silent." "Screaming is all very well and good but there's a time and a place, you know?"
"Eh pollution isn't to bad if your used to it, on a hive world its everywhere inside and outside and inside, some mutants can even gain mutations to survive in it, and some think even thrive." Felana commented on the conversation about the pollution of this world keeping her rife ready.
"I enjoy the quiet more but I suppose you are right. Also may I remind you that despite your augmentations you are human too, Satharn. Do not loose sight of what you are underneath that armor, otherwise you may wake up and find there is nothing underneath it." He never stopped looking at the observation post. "Irregardless I trust you can get the job done so I suggest we get started before too many of the word bearers die."
@Grall_Stonefist The World Eater began to laugh as Beowulf charged forward at him. He raised his chainaxe as slashed it toward the charging Space Wolf only to taste air. Beowulf had side-stepped the attack, moving to Crakis' back, and slashed through the son of Angron's armor, causing blood to pour forth from a foot long wound. The World Eater roared out in anger as he turned around with his chainaxe extended towards Beowulf's neck only to taste air yet again as the quick son of Russ had ducked under the weapon. After dodging the rage induced attack, Beowulf drove his sword into the stomach of Crakis and out his back, causing him to spit up some blood. @BuriasDempsey @Casavay @Uriel1339 @Vulpas @Maleth With the stealth group up ahead working on taking out the observation post, the others that were left behind were left with little to do other than wait. Some made have looked down to the greater battle taking place down below, only to see that there had not been to much change. Cut off Word Bearers were still in the trenches fighting for their lives against an endless number of Cadian guardsmen trying with every ounce of their being to put an end to the traitors' lives. The guardsmen seemed to have a fighting spirit about them, as if something was motivating them to fight harder than many may have seen Imperial Guardsmen fight before. After a moment more of watching the battle below, a small scene would begin to unfold at the base of the ridge they stood. From out of the trenches a figure, dressed in all black with his hands tied behind his back, came running towards the ridge and began to ascend it as quickly as possible. Luckily, with the larger battle happening, his escape did not draw -to- much attention as only a single squad of Cadian guardsmen gave pursuit. Their rounds impacted all around the black figure as he stumbled up the rocky ridge. After a while of ascending, the prisoner reached an area, thirty below the group on the ridge. He quickly took cover behind a large boulder, catching his breath. The Cadian squad quickly reached the same area with their weapons at the ready and the sergeant yelled out, "Stop running coward! If you come with us quietly, well shall think about feeding you this week. If not, since command is not around, we can have a little more fun than usual executing you. Your choice traitor!" OOC: @TuskatheDaemonKilla @Jorimel @Virgil_Corbec @seabass - I need actions from you all so I can make a post based off what you are trying, not what I assume you each are trying.
"Guys you see that squad down there after that guy? Think we can take em? We could use a extra hand and he does look a bit useful since he was able to scale his way up here alone and bound?." Felana suggested taking her lasgun out and setting the power on high and trying to see if that figure was wounded from where she was.
The ragged breathing matched well with the ill fed look to the bare faced Krieger, only having his black uniform right now and the rest of his belongings confiscated from him. There were bruises and cuts on some parts of his face, more under his fatigues and greatcoat, from beatings he took while under the 'care' of the Cadians. His escape wasn't fully thought out he would admit, only seeing the best chance to run and taking it. But with his arms still tied behind him, going up the rocks would be slow and they'll catch him easily but he can't stay either with nothing to defend himself with. And now that damnable Sergeant was taunting him, only because he took his flamer away. He didn't rise up to the bait though, his usual silent habit kicking in more than usual now he was alone, only hoping that even one of the chaos gods would throw a good knuckle bone his way cause he didn't plan on just letting them take him either.
The plague marine sighed as the two wasted time talking philosophy on human nature. "If you two are done talking of the application of the word human, I can explain what it is exactly I speak of." The plague marine knelt down and after a moment the insects that inhabit his form began to crawl out of every crack in his armor from which they made their nests. They continued crawling down as they began to mass around him and showed the rest of the tean how much of a true swarm of Nurglite insects of the plaguefather called him home. "Do you know when you can hear an insect in flight? when they're close, you can hear them. Or if you have sensitive ears, you can hear them further away. But only when they are in a swarm can you hear the sound from a distance away." The flies seemed to become orderly, almost like a bizarre parody of a maestro and an orchestra, ready to march to the whims of Tyresius. "The echo of this plateau will amplify the sounds of the swarm, making it that much more difficult to hear anything other than the swarm. Giving you extra assistance and room for small missteps in your plan." The plague marine looked to them, "Do we have any Objections? Little ones?"
That's fair to say *nod*. Satharn watched with some disgust as vermin actually crawled out of Tyresius, but at least they were going to be useful. He shook his head. "That wasn't a debate. I was telling the little one what we would do." "I'm going to go up through the shadowed and least visible parts using my armour and the stealthiness of my training to get to the rear of the emplacement. Then I am going to kill the first unlucky son of a whore with his back to me, and drag his body out of the way and into concealment. I will move fast, and so by the time the next one wonders where his buddy is I'll already be slitting his throat. Vlad here will do the same. I expect them to be panicking at this point, but if by then we haven't killed enough of them to make a difference I'll have brought shame to the Night Haunter." The lightning patterns arcing across his midnight blue ceramite flickered and went dark. "At the same time your swarm of ... pets? will be at the front of the emplacement, disorientating the command and preventing the radio operator from making any harmful calls. Malrak, you can stand ready to join us when we vox you it's time to come and play vox commander and Tyresius, you can make sure he gets here in one piece." "How does that sound?"
