"I wonder how Beowulf is doing." Lurielle said, breaking the silence, fixing her hair a bit as a breeze of wind ruined it. There was also again one of her small coughs - having much died down compared to the heavier coughing short after landing with their vessel on this world.

"Though I am sure he will be fine, he fights well on his own it seems." She smiled softly, her gaze fixated on Latrynix for no particular reason, though she smiled wider the longer she took in the face of the Dark Eldar.

  2. Malrak looked at the outpost while remaining hidden behind a large rock. It wasn't impenetrable but if they spook the signaling team they could ruin the operation. This was about true stealth not just an ambush and taking them by surprise. If they wished the three astartes could easily slaughter the outpost and stop the artillery strikes but that wasn't the plan. They need to get the spotters to accidentally order a strike on their comrades. He turned to the Bats.

"I have no doubt you two are able to infiltrate the observation post but how are we going to get them to order a strike on their own comrades? I can mimic speech patterns but not someone else's voice. We may need to keep that officer as well as the vox operator alive." He didn't bother thinking the Nurglite could make it into the post. His smell alone would give their position away immediately. Though that does beg the question of what exactly the Nurglite was going to be doing but it can be assumed they will find something for him to do.

  3. This one was indeed no better than a bullgrox, one brave stander and its rage took bullish control.
Witch was indeed what happened when he then charged into Beowulf sending him tumbling back, the spark of Beowulfs twin spirits of rage and bloodlust also came to life now, the world eater would pay for his arrogance.
Speaking no more words, Beowulf instead sprung forwards with a snarl, as he now wielded Lupi Morsus for the first time with killing intent, now would be the blades true baptizing, in the blood of another champion.

With the Infiltration team sent off to do their work, Latrynix replied to Lurielle "I'm sure he's got everything under control." Sure, her more than a friend's smile was pretty indicative of her feelings, and the Commorrite would admit to being her own as well. Still, now was certainly not the time to be more open in expressing said feelings, especially with Lurielle's coughing needing an explanation. And with the most likely suspects out of the way....

The Wych then asked, concern slipping into her voice. "Lurielle, how did you develop that cough?" After all, she wanted to know if it was something to be seriously worried about, like if it was contagious or if was just her just not being used to the hyper-pollution of the planet, a testament to Mon'Keigh industrial stupidity.

"Just still getting used to my new pain medications. Normal side effect. You see, I have that." She coughed, snarling annoyed at it. "I have that chronic pain since I was a child. I had a special formula back on Dal'yth to handle it, but Felana did quite a good job on getting close to it. The reason you didn't notice before is because I still had some Tau-made pills but ran out during our warp travel. Luckily I got this new backpack from that nice Servitor-man in the genetics lab which automatically injects the painkillers as I need them. The harmful air here is not really helping, causing kind of a sore feeling in my throat. Nothing to worry about." The Maroonette smiled widely and winked at the Dark Eldar, acknowledging her concern, but making sure the de-facto cadre-leader knew that everything was okay.

"I see...." Latrynix trailed off, not entirely sure if that was the be-all and end-all of Lurielle's coughing. But the slightly loosened shoulders were quite suggestive that at least it was most likely not something as sinister as the Plague Marine being smart enough to infect and therefore ransom her friend to try and force her to do something for him, or the blood-lust her friend seemed to be developing, if the furious reaction to the other Psyker was anything to go by.

Then again, the Wych might just be getting too paranoid about the whole situation given the way she was likely heading for a clash with Ereshkigal due to the path she was heading on... And by extension everyone, if she couldn't get them on side and she had figured out what the Queen had planned. Needless to say, the Dark Eldar was hoping it was something that didn't warrant her finding external forces to aid herself.. Like the Imperium.

The plague marine began thinking..."We may have the darkness assisting us. But the moment we have to start taking out these fools, they're gonna hear either their comrades screams or movement below them. Too many ways for this to go wrong very quickly with just sneaking up now..." The plague marine turned to the sounds of bolter fire, lasguns, the sounds of battle. "This plateau has a nice echo effect to it...and they probably haven't been here long enough to be familiar with the sounds of this place..."

    Satharn paused.

"Well, my plan was to move up stealthily under cover of the darkness and start killing silently. Leave the ones we need alive and point to the corpses as an incentive to do as we want if necessary. But, I'll be honest with you, I expected that we would use the equipment, not the men. You sound Human," his skull-faced helm nodded to Malrak, "can't you just use their vox once we take the position? With the noise of war, the background of vox traffic and the fact that every soldier here can't possibly recognise all his fellows, it should work."

"If anyone questions who you are, just tell them the vox operator was killed by a stray shot and you took over."

"...the air here is possessed by miasmic qualities", Lahamu quietly agreed with the Gue'la. "Then again, Imperial humans seem to pollute all five elements, wherever they go." The wind dragging at the cloth part of her raiment, the white Sorceress turned to look into the direction of the plateau. Lurielle's suffering still provided her with amusement much like watching two animals made to fight would - very basic, simple, sadist satisfaction that even children would get - but it couldn't hold her attention.

"I am human." Malrak said to Satharn clearly taking offense. He looked back at the observation post putting a hand to the chin of his helmet. "I may have spent time in the Guard but I do not know the linguistics they use when calling in artillery strikes. Not to mention the likely screaming that will result in us attacking them would be more than suspicious. However, we need to accomplish this in a timely manner so I suppose we can improvise as the situation unfolds." He said as he released his chin. "I still suggest that you bats go first and leave at least the vox operator and that officer alive. Tyresius and I will stay back until the need arises. Is that satisfactory?"
