"A fine idea, this infiltration", Lahamu admitted after most others had, though, like Malrak, she was a bit distracted by the veritable tornado of souls exiting this world and entering another. The raw power that went into the aether here... such energy had to be harnessed, used. Briefly, the sorceress wished she had learned another art, that of the spirits of the Warp instead of the Geomortis that she did, but upon feeling the stone she was standing on get only the slightest bit cocky, immediately reaffirming her dominance over the earth and casting a cruel gaze at the dirt. Unlike the others, she briefly considered investigating this gift firsthand, but then again, Lahamu was a bit too vain and attached to her beauty to really accept the risks that came with Nergalese 'gifts'. "Respectfully, this Sorceress declines, poisoner - and, Nox Nobilis... Serpent be with you."
As the psyker opened the box.....nothing happened. The contents of the container were shown to be some sort of orb like objects. "No need to fear little ones, as long as the pins are not pulled, they are harmless." the plague marine placed two of the grenades on his personage and presented two more. "I have made enough for all to take two. A legion specialty is what I have brought for you all! Blight Grenades; At the touch of their contents, flesh becomes necrotic and metal weakens from corrosion. A perfect device for spreading panic among our foe!"
"I... Still am going to decline. Considering I do not trust human technology, even if blessed by the entities of the warp... The risk versus reward on my gear or even myself being exposed to your bio-chemical weapons is too great. It is not like we have the Earth Caste handy to fix either my armor or my Pulse Rifle if either one breaks or malfunctions. The less harm they are exposed to, the better. Because I won't put one of those self-detonating Plasma Guns in my hands." Lurielle said pessimistic, even taking a step backwards. @Maleth | @Casavay | @Jorimel "I also thank you for believing in my idea. I am no commander, but I just liked listening to them... And it seemed to pay off." She smiled as always, with a bit of extra energy that would be a clear beaming was she not a bit exhausted from the prior climbing.
Tyresius feigned offense, "Oh, you wound me! To think my kindness go unappreciated by making such a weapon to make our task easier!" the plague marine chuckled, "As I have said, these grenades will function just like any other. They only become dangerous when you pull the pin. To be extra cautious around these is to do the same to a normal fragmentation grenade."
"And their effects remain still the same that they will destroy my equipment if the effect is greater than I can anticipate. And then I will have to rely on human equipment, which - to be frank - is inferior to my gear. I have never used one of those 'Blight Grenades' so I cannot gauge their effective radius or if a simple breeze of wind could carry the effects of the toxins against myself." Lurielle protested somewhat annoyed due to Tyresius feign. And she had somewhat hoped that Tyresius would understand, especially considering how open she was to understand more of the chaos gods from him. So he respectively would be more open to understand Tau technology, or was she expecting merely too much?
Tyresius elaborated, "You say that as if we will immediately proceed down the cliffside once we throw them. We will not. Infact, the wind blowing up here is exactly why I chose blight grenades! the vapor will accomplish its purpose and be dissipated by the wind. When it does, we and our word bearer allies will be unharmed and be able to deal with the survivors." the plague marine looked to the spotting bunker. "As a plus, if we get the artillery to aim just right, the force from their detonations will further dissipate the vapor in a much more timely manner." He sighed, "But, I see you have made your mind up on this. Very well, I will remain here and wait for Latrynix to signal me to start unleashing the grenades. If anyone else wants to take some incase some fools are left untouched, go right ahead."
@seabass @Uriel1339 Malrak sighed deeply in relief at the container was only filled with grenades granted grenades made by the nurglite and were no doubt full of all sorts of horrifying substances but at least there wasn't a nurgling in there. Though he was still clearly hesitant to actually touch them. He would agree with Lurielle's statement if only a little disappointed her thank you wasn't also directed at him. He approached the box and grabbed four of them. "I suppose if you're unwilling to carry your share I could carry a few extra. After all besides my powers I am not the best equipped for war compared to the rest rest of you." He said as he attached the grenades to the chain around his waist away from his book.
@seabass "I say that in any case. I have heard of the trench wars of Mu'gulath bay and the use of incendiary and gas grenades." She shook her head, not really wanting to recall the tales. "Least to say... Only Space Marines and Battlesuit Pilots survived. The genocide on the station was enough for me to see to not want a repetition through weapons of mass destruction. I appreciate the gesture but... That kind of warfare is more for your kind than mine." Lurielle said, somewhat frowning and her shoulders slightly lowered. @TuskatheDaemonKilla "Just don't get yourself infected. Who knows if even Felana can reverse the effects." The Maroon-haired woman warned her friend, then she walked off near a rock that could harbor the best and sat down behind it, shoulder pressed against it. It seemed her plan was chosen as an approach which meant their job was to remain unseen and wait until called into action.
@Uriel1339 Malrak shivered a little bit at the thought of getting the horrible contents of the grenades on him. "I do not appreciate that mental image. None the less I will be careful and if nessesary a little bit of Tzeentch's fire can cleanse anything." He said as he checked the grenades again. Seeing that they're secure he turned to the Wych. @Maleth "Irregardless I assume we shall wait here for the bats to do their duty and then continue?" He asked to see if he was on the same page as the xenos woman. Though from what he could gather about her he knew there was something unpleasant she had planned for him.
@matt23 Vlad was lucky to have chosen the exact same path that the others had decided to take. He had calmed down by the time they were reunited and kept quiet out of slight shame for his lack of self-control. @Uriel1339 Vlad was impressed by Lurielles plan to rain hell upon the imperials with their own firepower. It could deplete their ammo and manpower. He smiled, and it would cause terror and confusion aplenty! @seabass "No plague marine, we will need that equipment intact if we are to utilize this plan of Lurielles." @Jorimel Vlad just nodded in response and whispered "Ave dominus nox, brother. Lead the way." He then carefully set his chain-glaive on the ground and turned to everyone else, pointing at the chain-glaive he said with a serious tone "Don't lose this." He then unsheathed his knife and bolt pistol and nodded at Satharn.
