The Cash Shop

  1. That 20% was actually example from conan or secret world, and was just used as an example, not that it would be presented in Eternal Crusade cash shop.

But the example he gave proves they want to go down a similar route (otherwise he wouldn't have given that specific example), because frankly it works.

League of Legends has the best "cash shop" (we all know that, this is why F2P trend came). GW2 has nice cash shop also . Although had a couple of things that wasnt appropriate (i dont remember exactly wahat, i think had a speed buff and something else but 95% was right)

Please no pay to win system (cosmetics is fine) but no actual weapons (even if they are not strongest ones still not fair to other people).

Agreed. Skins. Just skins. Maybe extra utilities, but nothing that will affect actual gameplay. Honestly, the amount of money most of us are already willing to pour into this game if the skins are amazing will probably make the dev team retire early. I can't even imagine the amount of money people would pay to be able to create their own IG models out of a "regiment creator".

That'd be even cooler in my opinion actually. Having a "world forge" of sorts for character design for 3rd party artists to create skins using the art styles already present in the game. It would allowing artists to create skins and a BE run market of players to buy them. It'd be revolutionary in terms of marketing, all BE would have to do is take a small cut out of every transaction and just let artists and customers do their thing. That said however, BE obviously has the responsibility to control what pallets artists have at their disposal - such as keeping DA's DA's and not "My little pony DA's" That'd really be the only regulation in the market unless I'm missing something.

  6. My mistake, RT uses Profit Factor. Infamy (what is more or less Influence) is used in Black Crusade RPG. They could say we 'acquired' Influence instead of 'buying' it.

"Acquire your Influence Factor/Points in this link right now!"
    and such.

I personally like the GW2 cash shop in terms of layout and what you can buy with the gems.

I especially like the transmute stones. They allow you use the skins of other weapons and armor onto your current gear. I do not mind paying money for that feature.

I do NOT want those mystery boxes that gw2 and SWTOR have. I pay money for what I want not for a chance at something

Here are some items I would pay money for: bag space (character specific AND shared among other toons), transmute stones, seasonal items ( such as holidays), customizations for housing ( or ships), and dyes. I'm sure there are more things on this list.

I would also pay for a "leveling boost bundle" which could include EXP and traveling boost and leveling gear. I would love to hear other suggestions on such a bundle.
  9. Alright after just playing Gears of War 3, I thought of some stuff about the cash shop. When GoW3 was first marketed, it was said there would be all kinds of skins and stuff for weapons, the problem was that you had to purchase like 80% of them, and I hate that. I know EC probably won't have weapon skins, but I dont want every single cosmetic item to have to be paid for. The way I would work it is for, if you purchase the full $60 game, to have a level and number of customization options/armor pieces approximately equal to that of Space Marine (besides the different colors, so as to fit with the certain factions of the races), but then if you want even more you have to purchase them. Of course they don't have to be the same ones, nor should they, but there should still be a level of customization. With Space Marines as my example army, the fairly basic options could be the ones included with the game, and then cool ones like different kinds of artificer armor and master crafted armor (once unlocked due to skill/rank, as i proposed earlier) with gold eagles and sigils and stuff would have to be paid extra for.

I agree with this, but I hope they won't become greedy too early, because I don't think they have a reason to. Just put some cloaks/tabards for DA and some pelts for the puppies, and the cash will just keep on pouring.
This is perhaps overreacting and dunno about you guys, but I already started saving money for this game :D
