The Prophet raised his hand and his Cultists stopped. He knew he would need more power to confront the Druid.

Motioning to his cultists, they all close their eyes and begin to channel the energies of Unreality.

The Prophet murmured a prayer to the Madness and the Malignant Lords. The Druid would need a monstrous enemy, and the Prophet needed to ensure his followers were entirely prepared.

Lazarus hit the tree with a crack his eyes closed for a momment as he gritted his teeth, looking over he could see popped stitches and his left arm bent at a really bad angle, "Shit might need a new one after this," Lazarus said grabbing his arm he began trying to move it back into place but knowing the bones in it are likely broken made it a liability, Grabbing a pistol out of his rear holster he kept it up and aimed at the creature and ready to fire if it went on to attack them again.

He looked at Wizbang and said. "Then lets get going."

    ~Rin~
Focused he magic again fired another arrow at the creature the arrow aimed to hit the jaw to lock it.

The large wolf turned his head slightly at Mimic changing his form again with the crowd looking on with curiosity. “Yes we do have similar creatures, but we do not care for their words. As long as you do not mock our form you will remain safe. Now come there are things to do.” The sea of wolves parted as the lord began running. Mimic followed behind at speed but couldn't fly very high as the canopy above was very thick and pitch black. Anything could be hiding up there and his white feathers stood out in contrast to the the dark and heavy colors that occur naturally in the forest.

Meanwhile Wizbang was leading Gorgon away from the ruins of his ancient home in a frantic manner. The old man was afraid of something which was especially alarming considering his madness. The howls of wolves were getting closer and they could hear them running, the heaviness of their foot steps made it clear they were very large animals. Gorgon’s systems would detect several heartbeats moving around them. He caught a quick glimpse of one as it ran by him. It was a wolf and a very large one at that, about the size of a draft horse and had fur that was pitch black. Definitely something Gorgon hasn't seen before as it stopped in front of the two of them and snarled baring knife sized teeth. Wizbang uttered some kind of curse and stopped dead in his tracks. “Uh nice doggy?” He said half heartedly at the massive snarling canine.

Not far behind the small group of wolves came Mimic and the Lord who had been following the scent for a short while before encountering the hunting party that now surrounded the two strange men. “Do not underestimate the older one.” The lord said into the mind of Mimic as they approached the two men who had been encircled by wolves.

Bloodbath followed the pathway and the tracks after conversing with a strange three headed raven. The path took him through the thicker parts of the forest and found his larger form having some issues going through the terrain. Parts of him would be caught in the foliage for a moment before he adjusted himself. Smaller things that litter the ground like bushes and leaves also ended up getting tangled and stuck to him. Soon enough he ended up looking like some kind of creature made of foliage and leaves.leaves. The path led to a strange sight, a city that seemed to have fallen from the trees. Buildings smashed or on their sides and smashed tree trunks littered the area with the strange weak sun and moon visible through the holes in the canopy.

The tracks continued past the city and other than various small creatures exploring the ruins there wasn't a soul to be found. In the distance he could hear the sounds of a fight going on. Screams of men and the sound of gunfire along with strange roars. But probably the most notable thing he sensed was the smell of smoke and burning flesh. The tracks seemed to lead in the direction of whatever seen was unfolding in the distance, though the massive treeline and natural darkness of the environment made it difficult to see where the fight was happening his other senses could guide him.

"Good day, and I suppose it has been boring so far." The women replied, before looking at Serpent, and then up. Her eyes widened at surprise but she quickly composed herself in as she said "And well, I suppose.... Someone like you might as well suffice." There was an underlying tone of discomfort in her voice, mostly due to the size difference between her and him. She then said "So, my name is Mrs Hirata, and you are?"

On the other side of the closed off VIP area Hallow exited the women’s bathroom to be greeted with the sight of the large room. It was lavishly decorated for the occasion and had several long tables set up in it and a table full of assorted foods and drinks that seemed to be free for the party goers. Of course there were plenty of high profile people walking around or talking amongst themselves. The one that stood out the most a massive lizard man who was near the entrance and speaking with an asian woman. The reptilian party goer had several feet on everyone in the party and could easily be seen despite the distance.

As she looked around she would notice other figures she would recognise as wealthy businessmen and women along with several ambassadors from several assorted countries. There were also marked hallways that led into the actual attraction for the gala. The collection of rare and unique arts owned by an eccentric named Martin Cornova who had yet to make an appearance. Making her last sweep of what could be seen she also noticed an actually familiar face. The boy she ran into on a city bench yesterday was sitting at a table on his phone with his cane leaning next to the chair and looked particularly bored.

Mystic and Phoenix continued walking calmly for a short while until they found the source of the screaming. Or at least one of them as the corpse of a man in black modern military combat armor and gear was thrown in front of their path by a massive scorpion in the middle of a rampage. Several other men in similar suits of armor seemed to be trying to combat it with little effect as their bullets simply bounced off of the massive arachnid’s exoskeleton. Upon some further inspection they could actually see there were two of the creatures as one slightly farther away unleashed a torrent of flame from the tip of it’s tail. The dark forest lit up with the flame as it clung to the ground burning the smaller plants and leaf litter. Neither side in the small battle has seemed to notice the two of them yet.

    @Grall_Stonefist
Daniel looked into the stolen memories and found little of use other than that the creatures’ shed exoskeleton could be used to make incredibly strong armor. Which didn't bode well for his randomly fired shots but by some random stroke of luck several of them managed to hit the creature in some of its many eyes. Causing it pain and blinding it to some degree which seemed to infuriate it as it unleashed a torrent of flame from its tail into the air. His ‘escorts’ were too busy trying not be torn in half or lit on fire to pay him any attention which left him open to run if he chose.

The large feline like creature roared as a green glowing blood flowed from the eye that had been pierced by Rin’s arrow. When drops of the blood hit the ground a hissing noise could be heard as it dissipated into the air. These creatures were known for having incredibly potent venomous bite as well as an equally toxic blood. A single drop could kill a city but when reversed through alchemy to make anti venom it could cure any poison. Which was why they were supposedly hunted to extinction, but the specimen in front of them was very much alive and very angry. It pounced once more this time towards the injured Lazarus who was trying to pop his broken ark back into place. The arm was broken in several places but after a sickening crack he had limited control of it again. The only problem was that he didn't have enough time to reacted to the massive creature charging towards him. It was at this moment Rin let loose another arrow at the creature, the streams of shadow she had focused into it making its trajectory visible.

The creature was too focused on Lazarus to evade the arrow and it struck deep into the beast’s jaw. With the enchantment on the arrow doing what physical force could not the creature was knocked over and slammed into another tree. Another and much louder crack came from this but the tree still stood firm. The creature didn't move and there was a clean hole where the arrow drove into its neck and out the other side. A clean and quite impressive kill on such a large beast.

    @Azathoth
The cult went into a circle and chanted hoping to draw some kind of aid from their master beyond reality. But they hear no answer from the Madness instead they hear the chattering of chitin mandibles and legs as a hole is created in the fabric of reality. A creation of the father of insects crawls out of this hole. It was difficult to comprehend the shape of the creature as its form was writhing with its many legs covered in tar black chitin armor that seemed to suck in any light that dared to touch it. “Why have I been summoned?” It asked in a gargled inhuman voice.

Taking a huge risk, Mimic landed before the two who were hunting him. He changed once more to his original form. "Why have you sent us here? What possible gain is there in your games." He looked between the two individuals. "I will go peacefully, IF you can get us home." Gesturing back to the Wolf Lord, "The Lord here wishes me gone on pain of death if I return. So how do we get home?" Death by crazy old man or death by the Wolf Lord, all because he mimicked that giant lizard! He really needed to get his anger in check... if he got out of this alive that is.

Serpent offered a polite smile at the lady, inadvertently flashing those white fangs of his in the process.
"Agent Serpent, WBSA. Pleasure to meet you, Mrs Hirata." He responded with his deep baritone voice.

He took a casual glance about the room trying to show off a relaxed attitude to assure her he is not as beastly as he seemed.
"I must admit, I am out of my element here. Forgive me if I come across as crass but..." he shifted his weight from one leg to another and scratched his snout discreetly. "...what the hell are people supposed to do at these shallow events?"
  7. Seing a chance to leg it from this fight with giant bullet proof fire scorpions, one witch he had just enraged with a lucky shot to one of its too many eyes, Daniel took this chance, though it might earn the ire of later dangers, one thing was for sure, these guys where not winning at the moment, and its not like he would run far away, with his new sight he could watch from a distance, if they survived or not, and then decide what to do next.
So Daniel grapped his chance and bolted away from the fight, running to what he now knew to be atleast a *safe* distance before he would turn back and see what happened next

Seeing the combat ahead of them, Phoenix stopped in her tracks to look at what was going on even as she looked rather queasy at the corpse that had been thrown in front of them. Suffice to say, her trip had not exactly been a fun one, and she was hoping that she'd just be able to go home.

However, she couldn't exactly run away from the combat, considering the other people in armor were having little effect in fighting the Scorpions and leaving them would be almost like leaving them to die. So the Knight of Hell went into the combat, staying off to the sides to ready a bolt of Hellfire. Once ready, she threw the bolt at the arachnid, silencing the flame as to not scare the men currently fighting.
  9. As the Crimson Creature stumbled through the forest it paid no mind to the underbrush and foliage getting caught in it's form. It was met with the peculiar sight of a city, left in ruins, trees toppled over or simply shattered into splinters and scattered across the area. But what might have seemed even stranger to the monstrosity was how looking at the ruins made it feel. It felt...unnerved. Whatever caused such destruction was in possession of an enormous amount of power, but that was not what caused it such nervousness. No, it was a different reason entirely, what made the feeling so odd was that it wasn't even sure what that reason was. Suddenly something came to it's mind, flashes of the man in the ebony black suit of armor again. It began shaking as the visions of the figure flashed in and out of it's mind in rapid succession. It grasped at it's head as it continued to shake violently and thrashed about uncontrollably. It shouted and roared as it continued to smash the ground and nearby rubble "WHY! WHHHYYYY!" It screamed in utter anguish. It couldn't remember, it still couldn't remember, no matter how much it wanted to, "WHY!WHY!WHY!WHY!WHY!WHY!WHY!WHY!"

Before it even realized, the familiar trinket was being grasped in one of it's boney claw like hands. Looking at the silver locket gave it a moment of pause, it's shaking subsided as it simply stared at the locket in hand. Such a simple item, but it was the only thing it had left. The only connection it had to...

Suddenly it heard screaming, this time however, it wasn't it's own. It looked about trying to spot the source of the screaming when the smell of smoke and more notably burning flesh filled the air. In the low lit area it found itself in it was impossible to get a visual as to what exactly was going on, but it'd be able to find it's way. By following direction where the noises were getting louder and the smell was getting more poignant, it realized the tracks it was initially following were leading it down the same path. Was it mere coincidence, or was it possible that it's quarry was the cause of the disturbance? Either way, it was going to find out as it neared ever closer to the source of the screams.

Given who her father was, Aura was no stranger to large social functions where the rich would gather to buy themselves a cleaner conscience. Truth be told, she had enjoyed the few she'd attended alongside her dad - those that benefitted children, usually, where a girl holding your hand was a better accessory than a woman on each arm.

Now that it was work and not play, though, she could not help but feel bored out of her mind.

On the one hand, she was finally able to justify spending some money on formal wear, when normally college and 'superheroing' ate up most of her time; even for a temperate, moderate person, the good feeling of buying something really nice for those evenings you dressed to impress was a powerful incentive. On the other, guard duty was... well, dull. Aura sighed as she gazed over the food table, knowing that she could get away with eating some of this indubitably excellent stuff, but a powerful, guilt-inducing voice in her mind kept telling her that this wasn't what she was here for. She hadn't been with the WBSA for long, and wanted to do this assignment exemplarily. After all, they let her try her hand at guard duty, and that was an important job. Surely nothing the new ones would get to do usually, right?

Quietly wandering around in her flowing blue dress and white shawl - she never could resist incorporating velificatio in her clothing - the ingenue tried to spot immediate evil, even though she was sure that potential villains weren't likely to wear spikey leather jackets and skull masks at this place. With no eye for art, and no rudeness to stare, what truly was there to look at?

Catching herself wishing for something interesting to happen, she covertly yawned and rested a hand on the large 'purse' that hid her grimoire. Ancient, leather-bound tomes weren't exactly suited to high-society.

Well, lizard people weren't either - the witch blinked in a bit of confusion after spotting Serpent - but at least in his case she was aware of his existence and allegiance even if she hadn't met him in person before. Aura supposed that she wasn't in deep cover, but still didn't make an effort to introduce herself, only staring at him in brief intervals and hoping that he'd a) notice the odd glaring person and b) interpret it as a gesture of 'We're on the same team! Good to see you!'.

Nevermind that a young blond lady likely wasn't much of a sight in this place.
