The Prophet looked about and sized up each of the corpses. He made a swift motion of his hand and he and his followers were engulfed by a shroud of void energy in an attempt to hide from whatever lay ahead. The Druid clearly had a flair for necromancy, and the Prophet realized he may be in over his head. The Cult did not move forward, for they did not feel prepared for whatever lay ahead. Instead they stood huddled, back to back, shuffling a few steps one way or another, not touching the corpses but through eyes alone studying the surroundings to try and get more information about what they were arrayed against.
"My fault my ass.." Serpent mumbled while he worked. He lost his favorite CD that day and that sewer stink didn't leave his clothes easy. Eventually when it came time to leave, Serpent uniformed it up and headed on down to the gala. At the doors, Serpent nodded to the guards and just waltzed in. Looking around for familiar faces and the open bar and buffet when inside.
okay one thing was certain now, they did not want him to break character, for whatever good that might do them. It also left in the chance that despite the horrors they had arrayed with them, they maybe wanted a more diplomatic approach, instead of just information, to be some sort of translator that somehow work for them, though that just marked the question of why he couldn't speak English, whatever the case was, Daniel decided to shut up, the current time still way too precarious for any off-beat behavior.
"Got it aim for the eyes," Lazarus said as he began running thinking he was actually invisible he took out his Chainsaw and began readying himself for for a attack, aiming for the creatures eyes he revved his chainsaw and went on t the attack a attempt to take the creatures eyes out of its head with his chainsaw.
@kanila The lord looked at Mimic with keen interest as he changed forms. The wolves surrounding them slowly turned as well as one caught sight of such a strange occurrence and alerted the others. Soon enough Mimic was the only humanoid creature in a sea of wolves. One of them growled as the realized what had happened but was silenced when the lord looked towards them. “We will go to where the scent of your kind is strongest.” The wolf said as it moved a little forward a sniffed through his nose. “Nothing in the forest has a scent like yours. It can be assumed the same for the Wizard. Now I hope you can run fast as I won’t allow you to ride upon my back this time.” @GobMaw_HellSmasha The sentient gelatinous mass of gore moved through the forest clothed in the scales of it’s defeated enemy. The so called illusionary forest he thought was created by his own mind was more quiet now after the great beast was defeated. Small creatures avoided the monster like the plague, accepting it as the new master of this stretch of the forest. Though eventually the fully natural forest was interrupted by a pathway cut into the group where the compacted dirt did not allow any plants to grow. There were footprints on it or more specifically small feminine ones from what the beast could gather there were two women walking along this path relatively recently. “Well that’s different, not only did you kill Ragathar you’re wearing his skin too.” A voice from the trees said in a curious manner. “Who might this new lord of the forest be?” Another more feminine voice said. “Whatever it is they should try growing his own skin, Dragonhide makes great armor but it definitely isn't keeping his innards where they belong.” Another snickered causing the rest to break into laughter. @Wincent The gangsters nodded before hastily getting to work fanning out with a couple staying in the lab to clean up some things. The one that talks more approached her. “We’ll start marking out the territory using our… I mean your symbol and be sure to keep lookouts around the place. Only thing we can do is wait and see if the Santanos don't like us expanding.” He then left to go presumably coordinate the other gang members and whatnot. Though it was also to try and get away from the scary pumpkin headed lady that had performed a hostile takeover of their gang in less than an afternoon. He had remained pretty calm until now but as he walked away Hallow would notice his knees were a bit shaky. @Valonox Wizbang briefly went back into the cellar for a moment and came back up carrying a few more weapons. Most notably a musket almost as tall as Gorgon which he presented to the large cyborg. “The thing’s still loaded and it's your size, figured you would want it.” He hefted on his back a rather large assortment of smaller ancient fire arms. From as plain to a pistol to some kind of grenade launcher and that nine barreled one from earlier. “I wasn't able to get everything of mine that’s down there but this’ll have to do for now. Let’s get going.” As he said that a rather loud howl came in from the distance. “Preferably before that gets here.” @Azathoth The cult moved slowly through the graveyard, avoiding the various bones that litter the ground. Thankfully the majority of these bones were quite massive and easy to move around without touching them. Soon enough they had made it to the other side of the veritable minefield of enchanted bones. With no other ways to go they simply press forward deeper into this unknown and dark territory. Dead and dying trees with smaller plants in a similar state were all that could be seen for miles. The Druid’s influence no doubt, though this was far more than would be possible for a simple sorcerer. He was either using the tome to enhance his abilities or was already quite powerful. @Wata The place that the Gala was being hosted at was City Hall, a structure built large and regally with a front supported by marble pillars. There would be two sections to the event, with the first one open to the public so that anyone could walk inside and take part. However, there was also a private section with the limitation of formal attire and an invitation: Precisely where Serpent needed to go with Morph informing the guards of the formal section about the Lizardman who was meant to be there. When Serpent arrived, he could see who was already present. Firstly stood a man from the Neo-Roman Empire and he certainly looked the part, with the loose toga that was tied around his shoulders and the vaguely militaristic black bodyglove lurking underneath, with sandals on his feat. He was busy talking to another one of the guests, a business suit (with softly glowing blue fabrics woven around her shoulders and down the sides of the suit) clad woman in small high-heels in what seemed to be a rather heated, but ultimately good natured debate. Next upon whom Serpent could see already in the Gala would be another man, with a blue tunic, brown trousers and a black fur lined overcoat, along with simple black boots. However, his cloak was far more fancy, being colored in a sober manner. He was busy talking to Morph who had also dressed up for the occasion, who evidently wished he wasn't busy talking to the man. To round off the list of notable guests that stood out, stood a woman from Japan, as evident by her choice of attire which was kimono that only came down to the thighs, with a pair of trousers to cover the rest of her body. Her shoes were white and her hair tied up, leaving only a thin bundle on each side of her head left free to move. She seemed unmingled with and the only person to have not noticed Serpent. @Grall_Stonefist The group continued on normally ignoring the approaching roars and rustling in the forest simply taking it as a normal occurrence in the forest. They were proven quite wrong when the ground burst open revealing a massive scorpion who immediately caught one of them men in it’s claw snapping him in half. A second one burst from the ground on the other side of the group with flames spewing from it’s stinger. Already three of the guards lie dead, on having been bisected and two more flailing around on the ground as flames consume them. @Wincent @Maleth Phoenix nodded to Mystic. “Hey wait for me.” The hell knight said when the masked woman began walking. The two walked through the forest off of any given pathway making them trudge through a totally untamed landscape. Pushing away low hanging branches and avoiding strange plants as well as making way for small scurrying animals. In the distance they heard screams and roars but it was too far away to determine where exactly it was coming from but by the screams they were in quite a bit of pain. @Vulpas @Valonox The arrow fired by Rin hit it’s mark penetrating the beast’s left eye causing it to cry out in pain as the energy leaked from the wound. Unfortunately the magic put on Lazarus had received less attention from her and simply fizzled out leaving him as visible as ever. The now enraged animal swatted him with a paw before he could get close enough to attack. He slammed into a tree with incredible speed with a large cracking sound being heard, the fact that his left arm was facing the wrong direction was obvious enough it wasn’t the tree breaking.
Watching the sea of angry eyes around him, Mimic adjusted himself to his surroundings. "I can't run as fast as a wolf, Lord. Perhaps another form would be better suited, are there any creatures that would not be insulted?" He changed into a large seagull. "Are there any creatures that appear like this in this realm? I could certainly keep up from the air, and you already have my human scent." He was told not to be a wolf, but wasn't told he couldn't be anything else.
The sanguinary specter that trudged through the forest found itself at a crossroads. Yet, it had no direction as of this moment. Presenting a choice to it mattered not in it's mind. But then it heard things, voices, was it another memory of it's forgotten past? No, it did not seem to be the case. It held no recollection of these disembodied voices. No fragments came to mind. This was but another trick, another failed attempt by some unseen foe to demoralize and demeane it. To drive it to the brink once more. It will not allow the one responsible the satisfaction of see On the pathways carved into the dirt, it noticed peculiar markings on the ground. Footprints. Fresh foot prints. That meant food was nearby. Another potential meal to appease it's ravenous hunger. Or perhaps the tracks of those responsible for it's current delusional state. Maybe it should travel down such a path. At the very least, it would give itself a means to feed once more, to help clear it's mind so it can focus better at the task at hand. Trying to ignore the voices around it was starting to prove fruitless as it further contemplated it's next move. It couldn't think straight, the possibility of the voices belonging to hidden assailants entered it's mind. "What's...this...more tricks? Illusions? Hope....to defeat...with petty mockery?!?" It mumbled aloud to itself, "show...selves! Or...shall...end you...END YOU ALL MYSELF!" It stood it's ground where it stood, looking about the area and sprouting various claws, talons and writhing tendrils in response to the laughter of the voices it heard in the forest.
Guess I should "mingle". That's what they do in these places, right? Heh, mingle. Funny word, mingle. Minnnngggle. Who decided that mingle was the word for it? Damn, I'm hungry and I just ate the vending machine half empty back at the office. Goddamn Argos buys all the protein bars, had to settle for chocolate. Does anyone ever really "settle" for chocolate, everybody likes chocolate.. Serpent's thought process came to a halt when he noticed he was standing in front of the Japanese lady. This is the part where one is supposed to say hello. "Good day. Boring place, huh?" There better really be an open bar after this.
Hallow looks around at the gangsters and nods firmly. "Good, keep this area under controll and make sure it is clear. I have to leave on my own buissness but I will return tomorrow." She spoke to the one walking away, knowing he could hear her from this distance before she phased trough the ground and left the area. She "flew" or more correctly "moved quickly phasing trough the ground". Towards the more central area's of the city. She activated the clothes, making them turn into something more... fashionable. As she surface again, behind the city hall, is she dressed in a long black dress, looking incredibly expensive. Her arms covered by smooth gloves in the same black colour with her highheeled shoes being just the perfect version of black with small orange decorations on the sides, shaped like small skulls. Further more is she wearing a orange choker and under her dress is her tighs in a orange and black striped colours. She giggles to herself as she looks towards the wall, her long flowing orange hair put up in a fine horsetail and her lips the most perfect colour of black. She looks around, nobody in sight. This area not even covered by survaliance. She giggles to herself again and looks towards the wall, phasing into it. Inside of the wall she looks around before heading towards the female bathroom, empty at the moment, this toilet is directly connected to the WIP area. She becomes solid as she enters the bathroom and nods to herself, before stepping out of the toilet, directly into the WIP area, looking around curiously. Infiltration, successfull. Mystic walked calmly trough the vegitation. despite her long flowing robes dosen't it seem that anything gets stuck everywhere. She holds a smooth and calm pace, but isn't slowed down by the fauna or the animals, either extremely lucky or something else is allowing her to traversing so easily. She glances back at Phoenix "You keeping up?" She continues forwards at the same pace while looking back at her.
"JESUS FUCK" Daniel yelled as he lept backwards in shock of the first scorpion to burst from the ground, only for a second one to show up and narrowly miss him with some sort of damned fire burst from its stinger. In his paniced state of being attacked from two sides he just drew his pistol and fired wildy and the closest one while trying to not be the next one to get cut or roasted by one of their next attacks, he also tried to search his mind for knowlegde on these things, though either they could be a curse or a blessing, since either he would no longer prisoner of a military escort, though that would mean he lost alot of protection, and that he himself would possibly be killed.
