The mystic looks at him, her mask facing his way as she slowly closes the book and places it on her hip, chains moving on their own, catching the book and holding it there as she "lands". She walks over to serpent, studying him up and down... the appealing light slowly fading as she has stopped meditating. She studies him quietly, before reaching out with a calm hand, placing it on his neck. "You are in pain?" Her voice is now a older one, more sultry, with a soft russian accent, a bit deeper in tone that the previous young french voice. Her hand beginning to hum and glow as she touches his neck. The seeming pain slowly lifting gently.
As Serpent's pain eased, he leaned back on the chair and eyed the mystic a bit warily. "Um, thanks, doesn't hurt anymore. Just could have told me first." With voices switching and sudden touches made Serpent feel a bit awkward. "Boss, that training?" He quickly said to Morph, hoping to get this business over with before any other surprises pop up.
She looks at him quietly. "It wouldn't have helped. If I had told you, you would ave refused, saying it was nothing to bother about." This time her voice is younger, sounding like a young 15 year old girl, with a scandinavian accent. "You need to take better care of yourself. It would be very unfortunate if your usefullness on the field came to become less effective because of a bad little habit, now wouldn't that be true?"
'Too early in the morning for this shit.' is all Johnathan could think to himself after seeing everyone in the dining room enjoying themselves, a not so small measure of jealousy behind it as well. It seemed like life just had to throw salt in the old wound today after he just had to look into his pocketwatch for once in years, but it was nice to see Rico finally letting Alexis indulge herself. Shuffling along with still half lidded eyes, he headed over to the kitchen and grabbed a plate of waffles, bacon, sausage, and a slathering of syrup over it. As he gathered breakfast, he looked out the expansive window of the kitchen for a moment, to see the thing from last night throwing something for the guard dogs. "Huh, gonna just file that under interesting." Nightmare said to himself as he continued, quiet surprised to see something other than murder and violence from it. If anything it was another clue there was more to this mound of science gone wrong. Looking something to drink in the dark wood and brass handled cabinets and the fridge, he stared at the glass bottle of liquor for a hard minute before deciding on just the orange juice. He had things to do today and he needed a clear head, besides he knows he was about to be questioned by his father the moment he sat down and he rather keep his remaining eye for now. Heading back to the table, he chose a seat that was of equal distance to the two couples and prepared himself. "Good morning, nice to see everyone having a good time it seems." he said sincerely, mostly thinking of his two guests and his mother.
@Wata Gorgon sighed heavily and raised his voice over everyone else. "Lizard boy stand in-front of me now before I make you! I want to get the job over with and see that your ass is unframed if your unwilling to comply then I will forcefully get a look at you." The tension coming from Gorgon could be cut with a knife but Gorgon was holding back from trying to attack someone this early in his awakening.
@Valonox Serpent rolled his eyes and groaned when Gorgon started shouting. He stood up and faced him, equally tall, and crossed his arms. "Sheesh, rust in your bolts or something? Doesn't take much to tick you off. Do your scan Mr Roboto and stop shouting." Serpent wasn't interested in brawling with Gorgon, he wasn't in the mood to be bossed around either.
"Thank you for you compensation Lizard boy." Gorgon sized him up from top to bottom scanning for a perfect image to identify his copy once that was completed Gorgon stepped out of room and headed outside then contacted Wizbang via com-link. "Give me the coordinates to the crime scene I'll meet you their." Wizbang replied. "It should in your navigation systems already." Gorgon's hud lights up a pathway for him to take. "Oh forgot I had that. GPS SYNC229 MADE. Going now I'll try to not tear up a ton of concrete." Gorgon took a sprints position and started to run quickly climbing to 45mph to the crime scene of what Gorgon has now deemed Little Lizard Boy accident. (OOC: or 72 kph for your Euro's)
Well, this is troublesome. If he interferes, he will be late from work. Beside, they seem to be regular humans and thus not in WBSA jurisdiction. And he isn't on duty yet either. But. He is officer of law. And can't be seen walking away from assault. Sigh, maybe they listen to reason. "What is going in there?" Argos calls into the alleyway. Novus really has a crime problem.
Gabriel let the note fall. A contact poison was highly improbable, as the message seemed to make sense, but he looked at his hands and concentrated. He teleported everything which was currently touching his hands under the table of one of the other guests. It would not stand out as the particles were no larger than dust. He would loose the outermost layer of his skin and it also dried his hands, which tended to make them itch, but it was word for avoiding the risk. The he started eating, but made sure to drop the cutlery before touching the food with it. This allowed him to change his cutlery, which he did while taking care to keep a look at his plate. The food was good, but he could not enjoy it, as his mind went to the problem he had currently. At least the note specified no time, when he had to arrive. This allowed him to make some preparations. Gabriel finished his meal and started to stand up. He put the note in a napkin and put it in his pocket. The next step was to walk around the city to make sure whether he was followed. His misterious friends could also observe the hotel, but he could not do anything against that. Afterwards he would take his equipment and have a look at this warehouse. Another advantage about going for a walk first was that he could buy moisturiser, he already had the urge to scratch his hands.
With her book apparently missing, Ellyaina was furious. How on earth had someone gotten into her room and steal her things!? Still, instead of having a full-on tantrum, she took a few deep breaths and thought about it. If someone could steal something from her, either they had a suicidal sense of bravery, they were paid handsomely or they had resources. Only the first thing meant she had a hope in hell of actually catching by herself. So Phoenix decided to head to the WBSA for some help, given that it wasn't like she could leave it as something worth reporting to the police then leaving it be. That entailed stuffing her armour and other gear into the back of her bike, as she set off for the WBSA office, to get her complaint lodged and hopefully put pressure to get it investigated as soon as possible. Or even better, do the investigating herself.
