  1. Maleth Maleth Subordinate

With Serpent explaining, Elly remained nice and quite for the moment by not giving her own thoughts on what had happened. Suffice to say, she didn't want to turn her first day on the force into a fiasco by annoying her boss, as she just wanted to get this day over and done with. That was rather apparent by her extremely exhausted and defeated body language, which pretty much yelled "I want to go home now."
  2. Step

    Up the stairs

Begrudgingly driving a death monster waas not a good idea. But he drove anyway, he could see the creature was injured, in addition they could not wander the street, too dangerous. Capitulation. how annoying

Craveloft manner, a symbol of the dangers and success of criminals. A nice enough place. Lots of places to jump off of. In his ears, he hears the argument of the monster and the Craveloft grunt, or member of the family as it happens to be.

"Well if you were concerned at all! My name is Virion! and it's an absolute pleasure to make your acquantance!"

Virion crested the final stair. His form somewhat hunched over and his hands were placed gallantly behind his back, though in truth his sword handles were loosly gripped. Regardless the alchemist stepped up next to his disgruntled ally, standing between him and the Craveloft.

"One more, a pleasure. For all intents and purposes, I believe we should delegate the negotiations to myself. I am far more capable of handling the situation, than the (he would lean in) "deadly beast over there hehe" (he would lean back)
    "What do you say Craveloftian?"
  3. The creature took a moment to contemplate what the man said to it. He was clearly going to use it's research and findings for his own selfish agenda-that much was certain-but at the very least it would have the freedom to even do it's experiments. Not to mention, provided the resources it would need to work with the Oppenheimer chromosomes effectively. But was it worth chaining itself to a crime lord? There was still the issue of obtaining the Oppenheimer chromosomes first. It would be able to do little research on the genes if it had none to work with. It looked down at this, Johnathen Craveloft's hand extended out toward it.

However, before it could even make a gesture, it paused at the intrusion of the long winded cyborg. Butting in on their conversation and trying to take the reigns of the situation for himself. "You...do not...speak...for me!..." it responded bitterly, moving its body in front of the cyborg and pointing a boney finger at him. It turned to face Craveloft once more. "Get me...Oppenheimer chromosomes...research...impossible...without them..."
  4. "Ah, I'm sure I've heard of you before. At least your work." Johnathan, some of the mirth absent as he knew he was dealing with a known contract killer. At least he's....reliable from what he has heard. "It seems our crimson compatriot is fine speaking for himself. You on the other hand should start speaking why I should keep you around, he seems more than capable of handling himself." He reasoned, wonder how this cyborg thing became the creatures self appointed mouth piece. Looking back up to the creature, he only shrugged. "Either we wait for three days and hear were it's being held, or you try your luck somewhere else, I'm just offering you the best bet." Johnathan said simply.
  5. "Haha. So it seems the creature can handle himself."

How obnoxious. The creature can't comprehend the danger and uncessary violence it puts us in risk. No matter.

Dashing behind the Craveloft, Virion's blade extended in front of the Johnathan's neck, his righ hand clasped around the mouth of the Craveloft

"Let me explain to you our incentive. This creature has massacred hundreds of people without a wanton reason. It can come with evisceration, or assimilation into its flesh as it dissects you from within. Fancy getting bitten in half? IHis right Index finger would extend, pointing to the writhing snake heads.) Or perhaps it can extend a tentacle to impale you through your skull."

His Blade would descend from Jonathan's throat, but his right hand would slip to his neck
Virion's body would maneuver unreasonably quickly to stand in front of the man, and he would heft up the Craveloftian by his nec, bringing the extended blade up vertical yet again.

"I could tell by the way your body shifted you do know about me. You would then know what my Toxins do. I myself and a waward and wanton soul. I kill for money. But I don't need money. I crave the ability to kill, and kill I do. I'd like to be employed. Hehehe"

His grip would Lax and the man would slip to the ground. He would retract his blade and place his hands behind his back, and would give a deep bow.

"I would be delighted to be your *minion* as long as I'm respected and given the ability to work my craft. But you must take us seriously Craveloft. Will you now?"

His posture would return to his stick like posture. His body glowing he en against the night.

  6. "We were unprepared. Yes, there were three trained Metahumans send to investigate the sewers, but the possible culprit is highly dangerous mutant. It possessed resistance to small arms and most likely fast regeneration speed. Only Phoenix Hellfire was effective against it. With only three officers we couldn't surround it and prevent it from fleeing into the sewer system. We needed also think of the bystanders. Then there were the rogue metahumans mixing up the issue. Which at least one joined sides with the mutant and aided its escape. There is possibility of criminal activity being involved. The rogues escape was possible due treating them as witnesses and the unknown capabilities of their powers. If the culprit behind the disappearances is one or more of these dangerous mutants, we need to rifle whole Novus sewer system. And as for the agency vehicle, firstly I assumed group of vandalizing youth had attacked, but with the attack on the bank, another rogue metahuman may be behind it."

Argos reports his excuses for their poor performance. It was true they could have done a lot differently and perhaps even be successful on their objectives, but a lot was also out of their hands. He is more indifferent at being yelled at, drill sergeants gave good training on the subject, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about it. Failure isn't desirable option and he needs this job too.

Gabriel knew that he should take one of the older less conspicuous backpacks, but he was in the mood for spending money. It was a new bad habit of his, which always surafced, when things did not go to plan. He decided to buy one of the high end models in a dull grey. This reduced the cash in his wallet significantly, but it was not a good idea to open a suitcase of money in public.
After spending some additional minutes talking about hiking with the clerk, Gabriel went on his way.
He walked through several of the more deserted streets, until he found a spot, where he believed himself unobserved. With quick hand movements he decanted the money from the suitcase to the backpack. Afterwards he left the suitcase in the alley and covered it with trash. He memorised the location, aside from possibly containing a bug it was a perfectly fine suitcase, and went his way.
His steps lead him to a small cement building in one of the less prosperous neighbourhoods. The houses here did not try to pretend that they were older than some decades, a feature that was currently popular in the wealthy districts.
When he rang the bell, a camera came out of the wall and looked at him.
Gabriel pointed at his backpack: "I am here to look after your parrot. She sounded hoarsely."
The answer came fast: "Thanks, I should not have taken her swimming. Come in." And with these words the door opened.
Gabriel stepped into a dark hallway. It lacked furniture, but as he proceeded to one of the rooms metal and ceramic parts lay on the floor. "Excuse the mess, Polly likes to play with the components. I will be there in a minute. Make yourself comfortable, take a seat.", sounded a voice from behind one of the high shelves.
Gabriel looked around, but could not find a chair. "You really have a parrot? I thought that were just the codewords?", he could not hinder himself to ask.
"No, I named my cat Polly", came the answer as steps could be heard moving aorung the shelf.
  8. Johnathan could only sigh after the dramatic little showoff the cyborg decided was necessary. "If your quiet done, I might respect you Virion, but even you should understand respect is earned not given. Something my father made sure to instill in me." He said as he brushed his cloths off handily, speaking as an adult would to a child. "I guess I can hire you as well, do my required moment of charity of the day." he said with a smirk. Then it went away as he thought of something. ".....Neither of you have a place to stay...don't you?" he said with a hint of annoyance as he realize he'll have to board two more people. "Sigh, theres a guest house on the premises that the two of you can occupy, just leave the guard dogs and men alone, hard to employ servicable guards these day in age." he told them both.
  9. "Ah your Father is a proper man! A gentleman, and I respect that. You however do not respect me. But you however respect my skill Craveloft. And you know my skills are sharply tuned. I can tell in your sarcastic tone of voice. It never does well for anyone to be sarcastic. But how hypocritical of me to say that to people hahahaha. On the contrary Johnathan. I as a professional do have a place to stay. This mass of gore on the other hand.....

Is your problem from now on."

Virion would turn to around, whilst glancing over his shoulder.

"I reside in the South. The other families seek to strike at the Craveloftians, Or whatever you call yourself in the plural."

He would toss a tiny metalic over his shoulder at him. It was round, with a glowing green center.

"Use this to communicate with me when the need arises. It's a holo projector. The only reason I offer my services is the timing of fate. Also your names I thought of first! You have the alphabet to thank for that one. The other families are vindictive. One can never bee too careful."

He would go to leave down the steps.

Upon arrival to the mansion the Warden couldn't help but roll his eyes. It was about as gaudy and pompous as one would expect. Seriously, were all kingpins such pompous, preppy assholes?

Course he didn't have much time to dwell on the matter when the Assassin and Beast got out of the van to meet the magnanimous Jonathon Craveloft. He lived up to his houses reputation. Prideful, pompous, snooty. A right and proper dick.

He was careful, oh so bloody careful in infiltrating and trying to stay close enough to listen in to the Meta's and kingpins discussions. And it was about as bad as he could have hoped for, two of the deadliest Meta's in Novus allying with one of the most powerful crime families. It was truly amazing that this city hadn't gone up in a nuclear blaze with the kind of luck it had.

Taking a few pics using his helm, the Warden stuck close to the shadows, ensuring no noise was made. If he had any common sense he would try and leave this place. But then again if he had any common sense he already wouldn't be in here. Besides, he needed to learn more about this auction, and he wasn't leaving til he did.
