  1. "Did I cause something?" Virion said with a smug hint of sarcasm in his voice. Throughout the monsters spasms Virion stood silently, moving aside to dodge the occasional tentacle or spiked appendage. He shouldered his blades and stood against the black of night.

    "You caused quite the amount of damage here.... a shame. Well, psychedelics manufacture isn't very good for the community, so good riddance I suppose."

    His voice would take on a more serious tone.

    "You've lost something. You can't remember. That trinket you clutch in your hand. An Anchor. Clearly... what has happened to you is.. a mistake of sorts. How poetic."
  2. The creature's multiple eyes over it's body all focused on the stranger. Their gaze, piercing and sharp as they looked toward him. A large skeletal hand protruded out from it's form, a boney finger pointing toward the man. "I DO NOT NEED YOUR PITY, WRETCH!" it hissed. Even in it's downtrodden state, it absolutely refused to be trifled with. It's hand clutched into a fist and slammed the ground causing the flooring underneath to break under the force. "WHAT I NEED IS RESOURCES! MATERIALS! EQUIPMENT! TEST SUBJECTS!" it shouted it's hand beginning to shake with fury, "BUT ALL OF IT USELESS!...WITHOUT...OPPENHEIMER CHROMOSOMES...TO WORK WITH! THEY'RE KEY TO IT ALL!" It had a whole godforsaken neighborhood to go through, someone had to know something that could be useful to it.

    It began to take it's leave of the disheveled lab, before doings so it turned around to look at the stranger. He still hasn't attacked it, just what the hell type of game was he planning?!? It let out a gutteral growl before following it up with an ultimatum "Curiosity...Orders...Sense of Justice...Misguided Life...IT MATTERS NOT TO ME!...Get...In...Way...I WILL ERASE YOU FROM EXISTENCE!" It then proceeded to exit the lab, taking a quardrapedal stance and started heading out the building, leaving the devastation it caused in it's wake. Perhaps it will find another drug cartel lab, maybe someone there can give it a better sense of direction. At the very least it would have plenty of food to gorge it's endless appetite on.

    The woman gave the reporter a bored look and went back to her computer. "That investigation has been delegated to the WBSA if you want to offer them evidence I suggest you go down to their regional office." She said with tired eyes. The arrival of the WBSA wasn't exactly secret by this point as several people had seen the sign and emblem being placed on an unused office building down town. But just because it wasn't a secret didn't mean everyone knew at this point. Perhaps he could get the first interview with the regional WBSA Auxiliary Commander?

    The Mad God laughed at their Prophet's request, a deep chuckle that seemed to come from what ever would count as it's stomach. Not exactly a threatening gesture under normal circumstances but when it's coming from a being that very much is a god in every respect and is known for its own brand of compete madness it is a less than pleasant experience. Especially since his laughter within the void echoed for infinity resulting in a maddening sensation of sounds bombarding your eardrums over and over again as the source continuously produces more sounds. The limb above him began to lower itself and move around his body and slowly began to squeeze him like a large ever changing snake until the end of the limb was above the Prophets head. As the life began to be fade from him due to lack of oxygen and his eyes began to close into a permanent slumber he could feel something pat his head gently. Before he could open his eyes the limb had removed itself from his body allowing him to breath once more. Upon opening his eyes once more he could see a greater portion of his god was now facing him, a writhing mass of constantly changing and moving flesh. "Void Seeker, my Prophet, you disappoint me. But!" Their words echoed infinitely yet again though with the force to peel away the Prophet's skin. "I feel finding a replacement for you would be bothersome. So I shall tell you of the Liber Umbrarum. It was stolen from the Vaults of Heidisus not too long ago, or at least for an immortal like myself. The thief resides within Novus or more notably the grand library within a secret tomb built behind the adult books section. However I'm sure you know of the Shadow Watchers and their tendencies. They will also be after the book, so do watch yourself." With those final words the surrounding void was instantly returned to being the Prophet's home. The Mad God has spoken.

    @Valonox
    Rin's plan would go off swimmingly as her methods of infiltration proved more than enough to get by the security systems of yesteryear as the bank itself wasn't a very large one. In fact the vault door wasn't even the stereotypical massive circle at least a foot thick but a normal sized door with an ungodly amount of coded locks and levers. Any normal criminal would actually be having a hard time opening it but someone such as Rin could simply walk through it as despite the locks and being made of steel and reinforced with carbon nanotubes it was only as thick as an average door. Though once in side the vault is when problems began to arise like how to get the money out of the vault with the door closed and whether or not the cameras would record her "visit" as one of them was seated plain as day in the middle of the ceiling within the vault.

    The overly young looking two hundred year old grumbled at the arrival of the pumpkin headed vandalist. "Yes hello Hallow. Are you going to actually buy something this time or are you going to accidentally burn my stand down like you did last time when you thought my mother had abandoned me at the stand?" She asked in a young voice but clearly mature tone. Much more mature than her young body would make one think. Then again one doesn't live for two centuries and remain a child now do they?

    Rico's face turned a bright red the instant Nightmare called him and Alexis lovebirds while the xeno girl stoped her pouting and immediately began cackling and moved down from her perch next to Rico. "She... uh... Alexis isn't....." Rico managed to spit out in his embarrassment. This only made Alexis smile wider and creep a little closer to the embarrassed boy. "Oh come on Rico even Nightmare can see it and you just met him why don't you just admit it?" She asked gleefully as she continued to inch towards him, her form slowly shrinking from its originally huge size down to the size of an average woman though her form still has nothing blatantly female about it. Rico still didn't say anything even as she continued her aproched now only a few inches away from him with the tip of her tail touching his right calf. Before she could do anything to him his face returned to its normal color and he gave her a glare. "Not. Now." He said in a stern voice having calmed down. She immediately stopped with her smile fading to something of disappointment and she turned in a huff folding her arms and tail moving away from him. Clearly she wanted something from him and he wasn't very inclined to give it up and perhaps this isn't the first time this has happened. Rico coughed into his hand and turned Nightmare trying to shake off what had just happened. "Listen I'll be honest here and say I'm not telling you shit. Either you get out of here now or you better shut the hell up before you give her any other ideas." He didn't use a very angry tone with him but it was clear he wasn't entirely happy about what nearly happened.

    The monster would leave the lab in a hurry only to find several vans moving down the street in a irresponsible speed towards the building he had just left. The survivors had called reinforcements so it seemed, four vans and a pickup truck, rather old too and without hover components. The vans stopped as the driver of the front car saw Bloodbath exit the lab and quickly formed a wall blocking off the street with the gaps between the vans just big enough for people to get through. Speaking of which several gangsters quickly came through those gaps carrying a mixture of weaponry ranging from old hunting rifles and shotguns to old military surplus assault rifles. "What the hell is that?!" One of them yelled as the took cover behind whatever they could find. "Fuck if I know just blast it!" Another said as he laid into the beast with his ak 74. The bullets had the same annoying minimal effect as always but there were a lot of guns being fired and the truck was gone. A real fight was a head of him and the assassin still inside the lab.

    @Wata
    After a bit of a walk back to where they had originally decended from the Serpent would find his way back to the surface and was greeted by the sight of their car still exactly where they had left it. On the passenger side door there was a Jack o' lantern burnt onto it with the metal partially melted. Upon further inspection he would find it's insides completely ransacked. Everything from the steering wheel to even the radio had been taken, nothing but a husk of a pretty damn expensive over car remained. Not exactly what you would want to see after getting out of the sewers.

  4. "...and yet...more arrive" It muttered to itself as it saw the new entourage of gangsters arrive in an attempt to block it's path. It recalls saying something regarding such a possibile occurrence mere moments ago. And although they might not have been there to hear it's warning, their fates will still be the same. "Gihihihihi!...idiots!...I'm not...trapped in here...with you..." it muttered, sprouting an assortment of barbed tendrils, residue covered claws, large crushing skeletal hands, and ravenous snapping maws from it's body. "YOU'RE TRAPPED IN HERE WITH ME!" It bellowed out a monsterous roar and readied itself in a pouncing stance. "COME! EMBRACE YOUR END!"

    It then threw itself toward the mass of gang enforcers in front of him. A tendril shooting outward and piercing right through a man's head, leaving a mangled concave hole where his face used to be. A mouth on its body stretched outward biting a man's shoulder and part of his head clean off, the remains of the poor soul slumping to the ground lifelessly. His form stretched winding thread like parts of itself and simply pulled a man into it's body, slowly assimilating him into it's gelatinous form. The man would flail around futilely as his body remained partially out of the creature's own body during the assimilation process. All the while during it's carnage it laughed, cackling madly as it tore people to shreds or crushed them in it's grip. Even as it was continuously shot, even as it continuously regenerated itself, the mad beast laughed, and laughed, and laughed...
  5. Hallow giggles, a fainly blush under her pumpkin, of course not visible to her as she clears her throat.
    "Oh, come now... everyone does that mistake the first time they meet you... also that was three years ago, I have met and talked and sold things to you since!"
    She shrugs as she looks at the young looking sorceress.
    "Aaaaaanyway, you got the tome I asked for last time?"

    First sight Serpent saw of the car was the jackolantern that was vandalised on its door.
    "Great." He grumbled while closing in on the vehicle. Opening the door he poked his head in to confirm what he was already suspecting.
    "...The steering wheel, seriously?" His other eye twitched in rising anger. Then he saw that the radio was taken. What upset him more than the radio was the hard rock CD he had placed in it. "MotherFU-!" Furious, he backed out of the vehicle and slammed the car door shut with force enough to nearly break the glass.
    "Who the fuck takes the steering wheel?! WHO?! YOU NEED TOOLS TO DO THAT!" he kicked the car's wheel in anger, just then he noticed the hubcaps were stolen as well.
    "HUBCAPS?! Is there some secret market for hubcaps now!"
    Serpent had his anger fit regardless of bystanders looking, he was beyond caring at this point. He slammed his fist on the jackolantern, giving the door a sizable dent in his anger.
    With a deep sigh, he counted to ten. Taking his phone out of his pocket he dialed WBSA and called it all in, also requesting the appropiate personnel to handle the crime scene.
    "Fucking Morph is gonna skin me..." Serpent said, once he hang up the call.
  7. Nightmare smiled and bowed his head slightly to Rico . "I apologize then, I did not realize how sensitive the subject was." he offered to the boy in a sincere tone, the idea of apologizing at all grating in his mind. Just some pride he would have to swallow if he was to have these two on his side and keep all of this civil. "If you would allow me, perhaps I can at least offer room and board if neither of you have a residence? Its the least I can offer for offending you at all. The rooms can be separate, and one more secured than usual other if you wish." he added to ease the boy's mind if he was about to think Nightmare was suggesting something. For now the offer had no strings on it, all of it just a peace offering and showing that he was more friendly than his usual persona would normally dictate.

    Giving a disheartened "Thanks" Trent left the building not eager to start his walk to the other office. Instead he decided to flag down a taxi and just ride to the WBSA office downtown. Once downtown he paid the cabbie and entered the field office of the WBSA. Approaching the desk, "Hopefully you can help me out, I'm getting tired of the run around." He sighed before continuing, I'm looking for the officer in charge of the sewer disappearances investigation. Are they in?" Why did writing for the paper have to be so much work, with so little pay?

    Deciding to let Argos handle the talking by himself, Phoenix decided that now as good a time as any to make her move away from this whole sewer business, head back to the char and get on with the rest of the day. Needless to say, she had found her first day.... An interesting one, to say the least with monsters and the caped vigilante. Even if it was spent in a sewer, which was hardly the most glamours of places, but at least it wasn't somewhere where a screw up was going to have her in the news.

    The Prophet sat still for a few moments, taking some breaths. Again he reminded himself of the dangers of dabbling with the Void: If you were not strong enough, your masters could always find someone else.

    After recovering from the lack of oxygen he quickly set to work. His mind had quickly conspired a plan, and now was the time to enact it. If he went straight for the Library, straight for the book, the Watchers would most likely destroy him, since they outnumbered him by a large margin. They were an organization, he was but one man. In order to assure his own safety in getting his hands on the Umbrarum, he would need more power. He would need a cult of his own to call on. And he knew just where to start.

    Placing the occult tomes he had purchased earlier into his bag and slipping his robes on, the Prophet headed out. He had chosen to live in this hovel, in the more impoverished and downtrodden district of Novus, because that was where he would be most likely to find his favored prey: goons, druggies, the weak-minded. Once he had gathered a flock around himself, and had properly armed and prepared them, then he would head for the book and pray to the Mad God the Shadow Watchers were unaware of him.

    As he walked he kept to the shadows and back roads as much as possible, even utilizing some of his void abilities to try and hide himself. His God's disappointment had scared him straight, and he was determined to create a power base for himself. He could not fail. The price would be too much for him to bear. Death, if he was lucky. And if not......
