They have not. I've been roleplaying for a long time and I've seen literally dozens of stories die to inactivity. i will not let that happen here. and I have a plan for this story. A brilliant plan. And it involves Tzeench. I promise you what we find will be pure and genuine and no harm will come to the fleet, or even most of Gaunt's armsmen. gettime back home however is going to prove somewhat complicated.

Oh, if more boyz show up and they arent lead by someone else...this is about to become a proper scrap. Unification time.

If Adrax wanted to find an army of Cultists or Daemons to lead, where in the Space Hulk would those be?
  4. Simus Starcaller Active Member

Well, daemons are technically all over the place but rather elusive. They would probably have to find him. As for cultists however, this is a very, very big space hulk. You could find them in a number of places, probably further away from where the Imperial Navy has made its landing. There are denizens here that are in so deep and so twisted an area that they're not even aware of you guys meeting up.

    A deep and twisted area?

Looks like Adrax found a home.

    Perhaps he has.

Before we go any further, I do feel obliged to disclose two major plot ideas. This our story, not just mine, and you guys deserve to have something to look forward to. I also want to make sure no one has a problem with where I'm taking this and if there is I'd like to work it out now rather than ten posts from now.

Idea 1: Ork visitors. Gorgutz da Warlord and Kaptain Bludflagg have run into each other in space and being the bosses they are, decided to smash their ships into each other and start fighting. Bludflagg is not in the Judgement of Carrion but in a standard Killa Kroozer looking for boyz to recruit, as is Gorgutz. Their ships collided with such force and they and their boyz had such a big party that both ships have crashed into the Tomb of Madmen and are now part of the space hulk. This happened about a week before the Imperial Navy arrived and on the other side of the hulk several dozen kilometers away. Plus Ork vessels are pretty ramshackle anyway and both ships were stripped for gubbinz so it would be pretty easy for an air patrol to miss them. Both warbosses have been building crude bases on the hulk and have begun searching for the other but both have gotten lost. They and their boyz are going to find each other with our chaos-and-ork group right in the middle. A good fight and, hopefully, funny will ensue.

Idea 2: Thal'kiel. Thal'kiel was alive towards the end of the Golden Age of Technology and was one of the first human Psykers. He completely lost control of his powers and was pulled into the warp where he went completely insane but was powerful, intelligent and reckless enough to be noticed by Tzeench. Being quite amused at this powerful little mortal Tzeench turned Thal'kiel into a daemon prince with the power to shapeshift into almost anything he wants. For reasons best known to him Thal'kiel prefers to exist as a large floating black skull wreathed in purple fire and has spent the millennia wandering the warp seeking knowledge, power and control over mortals and other daemons. He has spent the last thousand years or so aboard the Tomb of Madmen and has found some truly wondrous, and functional, technology that he knows could change the Imperium for the better. The absolute masterpiece of this collection is a complete and uncorrupted STC computer from the Golden Age of Technology, put in a very special ship and thrown into the warp after things started to fall apart. The scientists who did this hoped that someone, somewhere would find this machine eventually and rebuild humanity and bring back an age of science and progress. And such an age would make Tzeench very, very happy and very, very powerful. Thal'kiel has used this machine as a proverbial carrot for anyone sane enough to actually know what it is and has allowed his servants to leak rumors of it into the Imperium. None of us, not even the Boros Paladins, know about this machine, but we will find out about it and when we do Thal'kiel will make his presence known to us and essentially turn us into his new toys to play with. A general evacuation will be sounded and most of the imperial forces aboard the hulk will escape but our characters will be among those who do not. The hulk will be sucked into the warp and we will be forced to dance to Thal'kiel's tune with the promise that we will be able to access the machine and find a way home.

I haven't decided whether we work together to get out of the warp and then try to kill each other over the STC once we're safe or if we become desperate and paranoid enough to kill each other before leaving but I suspect it will be the former. We all want to survive for different reasons and all of us (except maybe the orks) understand how impossibly rare a machine like this is so we want to be around to use it and propel our faction into absurdly OP land. Plus we can always kill each other once we're out of the warp. At least then the victors are guaranteed to keep living and killing/maiming/burning/praying.

So, those are my ideas. How we get there is really up to you guys but I wanted to plan this out some. What are your thoughts?

Well, this revelation leaves me in a bit of an odd situation. I was originally going to have Stompah assist the spikey gitz since he's been forever alone for so long. His whole aspiration was to escape ( in an amazing and hopefully explosive way) and get to a WAAAGH!!!. That's kind of out the window now that there are two of the most famous bosses of all Orks now on the Hulk.

Stay with the Gitz and go all A-Team..or do the Orky thing and go join up with a boss...Decisions, decisions.

    I have a suggestion actually.

Stompah plays "host" to both bosses
    Stompah shows bosses around
Stompah realizes he has a choice to make, decides it's too hard and decides to "borrow" a missile to find his own way.

Or maybe he serves drinks and sandwiches to the bosses. It's s really up to you. maybe he just likes spiky boys more than orks since he's always the biggest ork that way?

If it makes it easier for you I had brisket and collard greens for dinner tonight and it was delicious. I even have enough for lunch tomorrow!

Was thinking of something like the last bit. Probably gonna maintain my "Biggest" status and stick with the spikey gitz. For now anyway.
