"Oh, I'm beautiful," Kina said lazily and approached the intercom like a cat stalking its prey and preparing to pounce. "Lieutenant? I'm guessing it's you that's hiding behind there. We know you're out of touch with the Empire, we've got the shuttle locked down. We're the only way out, unless you want to hole up in there and starve. We want you alive. You'll be treated in accordance with your station," she promised, crossing her arms and turning and leaning against the wall beside the intercom. "So come on out, and we'll get out of here."
Outside Command Center There was dead air over the intercom for a few moments, before a shaky voice answered. "We are not opening the door." It seemed that the group inside the command center would rather try to wait out the siege than risk death by opening the door. Lambda Class Shuttle As the pair ran diagnostics on the shuttle it appeared that the ship was currently inoperable due to systems maintenance on the engine, limiting them to just the systems mounted onboard. As the scanner cycled through its start up process it beeped several times. A blip formed on the scanner and it appeared to be moving away from the shuttle.
Dek walked over to inter-comm "please sir , come out please ! The lives of your men are at a great risk. There are injured and whilst they remain out here there are members of the attacking group" the nautolan says facing their dark eyes towards the mandolirian for a moment before turning back to the comm "who will not show any mercy until you come out , sir unless you feel like trying to explain to the families of the Sentries as to why their loved ones were slaughtered and for untold reasons please sir be my guest but if you value at the very least their worth to te empire you will spare them and come out !" The Doctor could hardly believe their own words , begging imperials but it was for a good cause right ?
"That's not good." Rtora said and cleaned his blade on a piece of cloth. After sheathing the sword he looked for alternate means to enter the room, maybe a supply closet nearby had a blow torch or some other tools to force it open. Maybe a vent or something at least would get them inside and the good lieutenant outside. Hopefully the doctor's diplomacy worked. This wasn't going like it did in the holovids.
Fritz continued fumbling with the onboard systems, ship logs ended up bringing next to nothing unfortunately. Could always blow the ship up later after they all left. It took the Jawa a second to realize the scanner was picking things up, but once it grabbed his attention he poked at the green eyed lady (@Casavay ) to get her tonotice it. "Green eyes, green eyes" he called out, prodding her with his finger to doubly make sure he grabbed her attention, "ship scanner making blippy noises. Something moving away from imp base. This important to green eyes? Or should Fritz break scanner, stop annoying blippy noise. Fritz break scanner if green eyes want" Fritz actually just really wanted to break the scanner himself, it's constant blipping was getting annoying to him, but he figured the blips might be relevant, so might as well let green eyes know before he wrecks the noisy scanner.
Kina turned her eyes on the doctor. She was stoney-faced, betraying little of what she thought, but internally the captain felt a twinge of apprehension about the job altogether. It was messy, it was risky, and the good doctor seemed much too naive and well-intended for this sort of thing. Regardless, it was necessary. It wasn't like they had any other choice at this point, was it? "She is right," she added, her tone hollow as she spoke into the intercomm. "Locking yourself behind a blast door won't do anything for your men. They're alive. You might be the hero of the day and ensure they remain that way, lieutenant."
It wouldn't take too long before the Mandalorian pulled out another blaster, looking to those few alive. A small moment of thought came to mind now and walking over to the intercom. "Two options. First one; you come out, you surrender, and we take you. Your men live." He said, his voice remaining calm now - the faint sound of his heavy blaster being spun around was heard on the other side. "Or," He then went, taking aim and firing at one of the bodies on the floor, specifically at any head or neck of the stormtroopers. "that happens over a dozen more times on all the other incapacitated troopers all through this facility. 'll be bringing them here to deal their fate; you choose whether you'll let these men live to see what families they may have, or have that many more letters to send out." And so, he waited for an answer. Whether it was cold silence or an adamant 'no', or actually coming out, he'd wait.
Command Center Door After what felt like an eternity a dull electronic buzz could be heard coming from the doorway. The door still sat closed but it seemed that something had changed inside the Command Center. Nothing but silence remained after the buzz was heard, no response from inside, no sound of boots on pourcrete floors, just the eerie silence of what sounded like an abandoned base.
Zin was startled by the furry cloakling, and frowned at him briefly before looking at the shuttle's scanners herself, fumbling with some buttons that would hopefully improve the image. "This better be prodworthy, boy!", she giggled, already just about half as excited as Fritz was.
Lambda Shuttle As the two examined the shuttle it only took a few minor adjustments to figure out what the scanner had found. It appeared that an AT-ST was currently moving away from Whisper Base. Was it perhaps a patrol in the jungle or was it something else all together? Surely any reinforcements would be traveling towards them and not away.
