The Mandalorian gave a nod in response to this. "Only the Officer, or minimal casualties?" He asked now adjusting his heavy gauntlet and resting the hand down onto her belt. Quite close to her blaster, even; Kin could see his gaze over at Varel and Rtora, moreso on the former. He could see there was... Something between the two. He was not sure of course on what that would be. But he'd find out eventually; that Zabrak left him feeling.... Irritated. Unnerved. They weren't a pleasant person, at least subconsciously.
A momentary glance at the robed man and the kid told Kina that perhaps putting the two on the same detail was a bad call, but on the other hand, perhaps forcing them to work together would sort things out. Not that it was her business to manage people's interpersonal relationships. She was more concerned with her own. She turned her eyes on Zin and lit up at the Zelosian's promise. She reached over, hand seizing the Zelosian's shoulder, before she pushed it along her back and took hold of the other, pulling the woman into a brief half-hug and kissing her brow. "Atta girl," she said, entirely unabashed of the display, before she released the Zelosian to address Valrin's question. "I'm not going to lose any sleep over a dead Imperial," she replied, "I want anything that so much as looks as an Imperial shot on sight. But if that unlucky soul that rounds the corner is our paycheck, I don't want him shot to pieces. So that's the order; shoot anybody that's not us, but check and double-check your blasters. I don't want to lose out on a payday because one of you were careless."
"Works for me," Varel said, stretching a bit in his chair and returning the hood back up on his head, "Under our combined force, the Imperials won't know what him them." Zabrak also caught glimpses throw at him by both Rtora and Valrin, and he sneered, the snake-man will probably blow their cover sooner rather than later. He had to be prepared for when that happens but then again, given the prospect of violence loomed ahead of them he didn't care much about those things now. What he cared about was going out there and enjoying himself fully. The only thing he didn't like was that B2 would be going the other way, but it was perhaps for the best, he would surely be more valuable there when it comes to apprehending the hostage.
Onderon Jungle; Whisper Base After a good nights rest, the group was trucked out of Iziz by the Rebel cell. Not able to get close to the base the group was forced to slog through the dense jungle for hours until they reached their destination. Poisonous foliage and oppressive heat was their constant companion throughout the trek. Avoiding the patrols was a simple enough task, thanks to the guidance from Kurtz prior to the missions start. Finally Whisper Base was in sight and the mission could begin in earnest. Stepping out of the humid, insect-ridden jungle into the relative cool of the garage. The familiar hum of machinery drowning out the sounds of the jungle that they had just escaped. The smell of machine oil hangs in the air all around the garage. Just as Kurtz had described there were a pair of AT-ST as well as a dozen speeder bikes. Save for the numerous crates of machine parts the group was completely alone in the hanger. With a quick search they were able to locate the wire they needed to cut, all they had to do now was devise a plan for getting the code cylinder from the sentries that would investigate the signal dropping... once they cut the wire of course.
Varel spent the trip through the jungle in silence, focused on feeling things and spreading out his own thoughts on the world around him. If the stories about the place were true, especially considering the possible secret hidden on the moon above, then some of that stuff might've spilled over to this jungle which would make this trip even more lucrative. However once they reached the base there was no more time for dillydallying, Zabrak making sure to enforce that thought by pulling out a wicked-looking dagger and gesturing towards the entrance to the garage. "Shall we take position around those bikes and walkers, cut the wire and ambush the Imperials when they come to investigate? If so, we should do it quickly and efficiently, killing them silently and leaving no survivors so they don't get a chance to warn the others of our presence."
"How about we try to get past without killing anyone!" Rtora whisper shouted back at Varel. @Colapse He was a bit anxious, still green to all this and he didn't want to hurt people. He fiddled with his blaster on his belt. Hating to admit it, he didn't have any better ideas. The act of killing just didn't want to take root in him.
Onderon Jungle; Whisper Base Finding the hangar proved to be no insurmountable challenge, even for a city girl like Kina. Varel was quick to offer his suggestion, which Kina had to reluctantly admit to herself made sense. However, they had other priorities than simply removing the opposition. She shook her head, lekku shifting like branches rustling in the wind, and she looked around their little group. "Blasters to stun. Suppose you hit the pocket they've got their code cylinders in? There goes our ticket, zap," she decides. She turned her eyes on Rtora, seeming to gauge the youngster. "... We're in and out in a flash. No needless killing, but if worst comes to worst, I need you all to defend yourselves. I need you to defend the people beside you," she glanced to Zin, then back to Rtora. "If that's too much for your conscience, then go back. If not, then even having an extra body closing off a corridor with blaster fire is good enough, you don't even need to hit anyone. So keep your cools and follow. Let's set up an ambush, people," she declared. "Try to spread out, shoot them from all sides. Varel, I want you close so that you can snatch their code cylinders quickly... and... put 'em out of commission if the stun bolts don't get 'em properly. Then, we regroup at the right-hand door and go in. We discussed this, you know where to go." She stepped away from the group, and found two crates behind which to hunker down... deliberately pushing on them so as to create a small gap through which she could view the entry to the garage. She drew her DL-44. Set it to stun. And watched the others get in positions of their own.
The Mandalorian casually took out his twin blaster pistols now, looking over the group as they neared their objective. His glance towards Rtora was enough for the young man to tell he was being stared at, but should he look over, it was... Well, not concerning. At best, the man looked to be making sure nothing was wrong, A small nod was given to him before he turned his gaze to the Captain. "If you're worried 'bout your girl, feel free to keep me around there to shoot anything looking at her wrong." He said slightly teasingly -- even if the mumbling could make it sound like he was a bit 'mocking' in that regard. Might even keep an eye on that Zabrak. He thought to himself. Of course, Valrin didn't think much else past that, simply taking a few steps to the side to hide. He did at least set one blaster to stun which he had at the ready, whilst his 'kill' shot was kept low.
With everyone in place and the trap ready to be set Fritz cut the comm wires with a pop and shower of sparks. Nearly 5 minutes passed before the doors slide open and 4 sentries entered the garage. As everyone waits for the opportune time to strike the sentries idly chatter while walking across the garage. The sound of their footsteps on the pourstone floor can be heard. "It's probably just a cannok chewing on the...." And just when everything was going as planned, Varel adjusted his footing resulting in a squeaking sound to echo out from his hiding place. "Wait, what's that? Lock the door!" The footsteps stopping immediately and the squad leader starts giving hushed orders to the other sentries to spread out and find the intruders.
Finally finding the moment to use its particular skill set B2 rounded behind the crate it had concealed itself behind and began firing onto the sentires, the armor the troops bore making it all the easier for B2 to open fire into the sentries the blue energy of the stun bolts flying from the Blaster cannon mounted on the droids arm
