ok so, what to do for the avatar, my favorite thing to exist. well first off, I think summoning the avatar should be a big deal, maybe a special scene for players to watch for the strikeforce that gets the avatar, or a public one for if it is a council decision, for example everyone could watch the exarch enter the chambers and then out comes the avatar, the avatar would then be able to spawn just about anywhere doing avatar things, like murder avatar should get a fusion gun with no charge time to fire, but overheats instead, also he should obviously get a badarse sword, nobody should be able to think "oh it's the avatar, let's enter close combat with it" I want them to think "OH FCK IT'S THE AVATAR! SHOOT IT WITH EVERYTHIIIING!" because that's just what the avatar does, I also think anyone around the avatar should be unable to be suppressed and should be 'inspired' which makes any debuffs on them last for half the time, or just be ignored because it's the AVATAR! another thing, as an npc the avatar could be an objective for the game, you know like in section 8? super strong npc to protect and assist in combat, and I mean epic level strong. it should be impossible for anything less than heavy weapons to do that much damage to the avatar, heavy bolters should be like boltguns, any fire weapons, ignored, anyone who stands near him who is not an eldar should get suppressed due to the horror of standing near a god reborn!
Very good ideas! now I am suffering serious I-play-Eldar-in-40k-and-don't-own-an-Avatar-because-I'm-so-cheap. Well, that is half true, I hear he is a bad HQ choice, is this true? I looked at his stats, and they don't look too bad. That was awhile ago though, and I haven't played Eldar in awhile.
I vote for war council. I'm hoping a similar thing can happen for Daemon Princes and/or warboss piloted mega-dreads. Not sure what spess mareen could have.
I voted war council but I'd like it better if they spent the resources but could vote on any player who is currently an Exarch to turn into it.
I'm poor too, but the thing is he's basically a big distraction carnifex, if you don't get a farseer he's up there in the better choices, best mc in the game if you ask me, take him if you want to have a fearless gunline or something, his main point is his aura and being a giant meltagun toting badarse, so he's cool, but farseers are better as a whole for your team, get him if you need a beatstick or something similar, at least that's what I hear and think, but I would still buy him if he wasn't so pricy just because look at that, LOOK AT IT! it's awesome
well there could be one per craftworld. I think seeing 25 of them running around would be weak tea but I think one person/body having that power is no good. if it were the choice of war council or AI I would choose AI or none. PS buy the forgeworld one, for the price difference its worth it.
why choose when u can run both farseer and the avatar? he's awesome! (also guilty of not owning that beautiful FW model...) i been proxying him for a long time.
the problem is double seers means double spells and double spells means bigger safety net, the avatar's pure awesome doesn't seem to mean he's good enough for some people
well if u wanna play competitively sure. double jetbike seercoucil. but if i'm bringing Avatar out, i just wanna have fun stomping mon keighs. heck. i'm even thinking about Avatar and a large group or warlocks to buff/heal him up.
