My dear Watson, here lies the crux of the obvious issue; politically motivated emotional polarity, and I believe in the past nine pages this thread has, in my desire to observe rather than speak, brought the issue to light. The community indeed cannot seem to be objective in its observances of the game, that to be part of the community, you have to pick a side. You either are negative or positive about its state, a factionalist or nihilist, and all sides are guilty of using hyperbolic, and inflammatory language to prove their point, as well as having stubbornly immovable arguments that are immune to any facts that lie, or are even shared between them all. What's worse is that these centers of communication are clearly not places Devs have wanted to visit for quite some time. I know you and I have already had this conversation @Dark-Knight as to why the main devs who talk with the community seem to be backing away from it to the safety of a weekly exposure in a tightly controlled environment. Obviously, the answer is unclear, one camp will say its because the ship is sinking and they're bad managers, the other might say they're tired of insults, put downs, and complete misinformed idiocy of their stakeholders repeating questions answered over a year ago, another wants to see glory of the Eldar dismantled, while others may believe it is justified, the truth again, probably takes elements of both sides. Yet, the result of this unbridled arena of emotion is total pandemonium - a perfect distraction. The cloak that's wrapped around the issue, the setting by which a very select few can operate with impunity, keeping the Developers from addressing the real issues of the game, and using the situation to achieve their goal. What motive do they have to perform digital arson? Well, like a real arsonist, it's about ego, and power, possibly revenge, and sometimes just to watch it burn. But what can they really do when so many cracks are in the foundation? What voice do they really have when it's shared among a crowd? Do as any small group or individual would do, blend and wait for the right opportunity. Exploit the right crack, and create a divide that brings the structure down. Breath on the right flame at the right time, and create an inferno. Poetic, as it may be that the Devs must find some sort of balance for the game, I believe the only way to deny such individual(s) the opportunity to find the right crack, or the right flame, is to come to some sort of understanding between the two parties. Not everything is right with this game, or the dev team. Not everything is right with our behavior either.
How about you work with the 15 people trying to join the guild instead of writing essays on the forums?
Nice PM. You must be really moved if you make a full thread out of this. There is no question or anything, and your opinion is just as good as anyone elses here i guess. So, please don't feel so important. You arn't im afraid
I was at work for 90% of the day. How about we get on TS instead of making this guild matter a public one? And I may even deny them - all of them, because they haven't filled out a god damn application like it says to do in our description.
Not sure why all the hate over his post, I actually agree with him and thought he made some good points. This game inherently creates a divide among the factions, which I believe spills over onto the forums. This becomes a problem however as on the forum..with real people, we all have one common goal. To see this game be the best it can be. However with all the divisions, insults, and pretentious responses only hurts the community, sometimes feelings and this game..which we all supposedly care about, right?
