Wait Guys I just realized something, What if with age of sigmar they were testing what they could do with 40k extremely and how the community would react? What if its all a conspiracy to make plans to have 40k go be on the 41st millenum?
If anything, they'll drop 40k entirely and push 30k. Way more room for plot advancement in 30k, since 40k was designed from the ground up to be static. Which would be a AoS-ish shakeup, if you ask me.
Guys... AoS happened because fantasy was dying.... They HAD to shake the game up or get rid of it. They aren't going to kill their golden goose (40k) unless the same thing happens.
I want to make a joke about how they'll make the move to 30k just so they won't have to deal with those pesky codices that nobody wants anyway anymore (read: anything non-power armoured), but I play xenos and daemons almost exclusively nowadays and the thought hurts. Untrue or not. But I think you're right. As much as I like WHFB, it was not the most popular of games. Much like with the Sororitas (a faction I really really like), 'vocal minority popularity' is in full effect here. Opinion, belief, two cents et cetera.
40k generates massive profit, if anything they would push for more new models and lore too boost their sales..and they did
