someone want to spoil me how sigmar lost his hammer? also karl franz war sigmar incarnate so is still karl franz or he have a new body? also someone know the source of the soundtrack?
It was something like he was battling Chaos God Incarnations (Or them..selves? I don't know.) and then Tzeentch tricks him into throwing Ghal Maraz into a Warp Rift and he loses it. It's followed by the Stormcast Eternals getting mowed down afterwards he loses it and Sigmar runs back and shuts the gates of Azur behind him.
That Slaanesh thing just sounds wierd. Slaanesh was so tired from eating all the elves that the elves were able to capture it, for some reason, despite it being an omnipresent immaterial being and getting a huge boost of soul energy seems like something that would make it more active.
It kinda sounds like a battle of Titans at this point, there could be potential, but I'm not really a fan of power characters. Thou, the bit about Slaanesh's first attempted usurper does have a somewhat interesting connotation. I prefer the small fries, I want stories about joe schmo barbarian struggling to survive or an emerging lord, you know, something relatable. Still not on board.
I swear some people are defending AOS here like they are running a GW STORE! ( eyes narrow and thinks this is the most likely answer) I was hoping for regimented combat fullstop that was my bare minimum of entry. I would of lapped up a lot of shit, all the fluff all the rubbish etc etc but with no ranks no regimental gameplay and no where NEAR as much customization for my army I have given up on the hobby. I feel absolutely gutted at the whole thing.. I started the hobby with the Bretonian/Lizardmen army box and decided to go to that instead of 40k because I enjoyed more complicated/deep strategy. I guess its kinda good cause now I got one less hobby to worry about, kinda sad cause I invested thousands into fantasy to get back into it early this year, but didn't (end times). I have some small hope that 9th will kick off and people will play it, that would definitely bring me back. It seems like they are doing a good job as well! Link to that! http://www.the-ninth-age.com/news/ Will see how it goes and once its nearer completion will try it out.. I noticed some people posting the Amazon sales figures, I don't think they are an accurate measure of the products success as I don't think people shop at Amazon to buy war gaming miniatures per say, I may be wrong. So either way with the money I was going to spend on the AGE OF SHITMAR starter box, I decided to buy a couple of malifaux squads and see how that goes It may not be regimented combat but I like steampunk and the unique approach it has.
or you know, people like things that you don't. crazy concept but it happens I'm giving the high elves I got back to the store owner here because I honestly have no interest in the game outside of painting. I don't have room for a third army and don't want to divert 40k funds to AoS so I decided to just abandon it. People here still like AoS. Seems like people play it almost every day here and the store has had a tournament going for a few weeks. I think the owner said he's sold 12 starter packs so far.
That's fair but again as I've said many times, WHFB was circling the drain anyways. If they hadn't done something, I would've given it a year, year and a half max before it just went away. The fact is as much as you enjoy it as a hobby, the company has to make money off of it which was not the case before AoS. Here's a good example... 2 months ago GW released the plastic upgrade sprues for BA DA SW and UM, all except the UMs sold out globally within the first week. The DA went back up for about 12 hours last Friday night before being sold out globally again. They just can't keep up with the demand for the product. If AoS new releases weren't selling, they would be losing not just the money for the product that isn't selling but also losing out on revenue for the product that is desired. When an entire line of products is only totaling 5% of sales, you are losing a lot of revenue. As much as people on the forums are whining, apparently the majority is taking AoS in stride because the 1st month of AoS outsold the 1st month of 7th ed 40k at the same time last year let alone outselling what WHFB was bringing in. This is either ignorant or just an inflammatory statement because there is way more customization in AoS. There is more customization for individual units out of the box (the chaos box on preorder now has 25000 possible combinations) and there is more customization for your army because its a completely open list. You could even bring your Britonians and Lizardmen in the same army if you wanted to do that. My nastiest combo right now is a 150 wound mix of Sylvaneth and Lizardmen but Chaos Daemons with Skaven gave it a run for its money. Again, its fine if you don't like the game but don't spout off things that are blatantly untrue. That person didn't say anything about sales figures, the post was that AoS starter box was TRENDING on Amazon.com which is even more impressive since "I don't think people shop at Amazon to buy war gaming miniatures per say..." Congrats! and now BECAUSE OF AoS you will still be able to buy Brtitonian and Lizardmen miniatures... The local corporate store sold over 40 on the first day between preorders and walk-ins so I wouldn't doubt it
