The 6th Coin - In-Game Thread

The Warlock was perhaps the most quiet of them all. She showed barely any interest in striking conversation with what she considered an extremely temporary ally if not an asset to be used for victory, she instead was soul-deep within the book that she have brought with her, as usual to say the least.

The Eldar knew the name of the book, as they could read the title engraved into it's dark, leathery cover but the Mon'Keigh? They could only see what appeared to them as pure gibberish, runes across a paper that seemed as old as their grandmothers, though with a slight oddity, the book contained some symbols which were widespread across the Imperium, such as the Aquilla and various other symbols. If they dared to look, that is.

Frederick wanted out of this briefing room, this continued discussion was stifling and he had already heard everything he wanted to hear, they are fighting Tyranids to recover an object lost to the Eldar which they have deemed of critical importance enough to enlist the Imperium for. There was nothing more to discuss than that, unless the group could come up with some actual intel besides the prescience of an Xenos farseer we have everything the group needed to know. Going by the only intel the group had though the mission already had knowledge of the world they would be operating on, it would be barren and desolate which gave a precedent for how their operational doctrine should be before landing.

'If the world is barren then chances are the landscape of the planet would be wide open and ideal for vehicle warfare, it would pay to have an armored strike force on standby in case current Tyranid infestation is more than a mere infantry strike force can handle. The addition of Imperial navy fighter craft will also provide sufficient support for ground forces to locate and retrieve the artifact while any potential hostile forces are tied up, if the Tyranids have moved on then it makes it all the more easy for us to accomplish this search and recover mission.'

  3. "Yes I suppose so." Jeb's face was still stern and unfeeling but most can tell he was relaxing now that conversation was being struck up. He still didn't entirely trust any of the Xenos but he was at least trying to be hospitable to something he had been told his entire life did not deserve to live. Then Fredrick decided to chime in about strategy and the mission despite the obvious fact that they were trying to be social with one another.
    @Donairian
"Yes that is all well and good Pilskin but we are attempting to be social here. You may save the talk of war and strategy for later when we arrive at the planet. If you do not wish to speak with our allies perhaps you could be excused by our lady?" He said not looking directly at him and keeping his eyes on the guests. He respected the men under his command but if they didn't want to ease tensions with the Xenos then they do not need to be in the room.

"Well. That is true." He agreed, reaching to attach the power blades to his forearms and decided to glance over the others nearby - The Warlock was more focused upon the novel, and these humans seemed to relax in their presence at least.
Perhaps not as though they will become friends within a few minutes, however Aderis certainly seemed to think that this was going well.
Socialization! How fantastic. And to think that hearing the other Aspect Warriors upon the Craftworld say of their incompetence and savagery.
-- Well... A small grin came to the Warp Spider's face as he realized they were very true in that. However at the same time, quite wrong.
Savage? Yes, when needs be. But social, and friendly. They evolved from pack-animals after all, the Mon'Keigh were named as such for this reason.
"As your guests, I suppose that keeping ourselves to your Hugh-min customs would make socializing easier, I suppose." He then said - putting an odd emphasis on 'min'. Given his lack of usage on the word and how he seemed to try to say it in one go, made it a bit more amusingly clear that he needs more practice on his Imperial vocabulary.

  5. Vorin spun about with a small twirl as he looked over the assembled humans and Eldar with a grin. She, personally, had no issues with the humans. Given his past, and the fact that none of her fights had been against them - and no other slights had been made. "I much agree with you, my arachnid brother." he chuckled, smirking at the Warp Spider before looking at the rest. His face was quite open, even if he had few ideas what to say in the moment.

While everyone else seemed to be either discussing the Great Devourer or customs, neither were social topics that held Telith's interest which instead was more focused upon the red-robed humans that possessed a rather large amount of technology, and what would she be if she didn't take a chance to study such technology while she was here? (Much to the ire of some of her fellow Artisans when they found out about that eccentric interest of hers.)

So she turned towards whom appeared to be the leader of the red-robed humans (@TechCaptain ) and then said, one of her various tools in hand "Do you mind if I take a look at those bionics? I'd be quite interested in making some notes on the internal functioning of them: They don't like any pattern I've seen before."
Well, if the tech was there, she wanted to learn something and for all she knew, there could be room for improvement in that design. And maybe that course of action could help build better relationships that just talking if there was something to improve in the human's technology?

Alton raised an eyebrow at the Eldar artisan asking for a closer look at his biomics. With a thought quick as lightning he figured there wasno harm at her looking at his lesser leg bionics if he could look at her tech. " Aye you can look at the piece on my leg in exchange I want a look at some of your tech."

"That sounds like a fair deal." Telith replied getting up from her seat and walking over to him, putting her Shuriken Catapult to one side of him while she kneeled down and broke out a few tools from one of her cases and thenstarted to get to work on opening up the human's leg to get a good look at the internals workings.
After all, she could always take a look at the exterior of the bionic another time, but there wasn't quite a moment like now, where the atmosphere was peaceful to take a look inside. After all, she might have to use that leg, though obviously, not as a replacement for her own limbs. She'd rather make those sort of devices herself.
  9. "Well I don't suppose we can find something to actually talk about rather than how we are both unfamiliar with each others customs?" Jeb said to the other two xenos he who he seemed to be in a conversation with. He saw one another xenos who appeared to be a woman come over and start inspecting Sevens' bionic keg under his permission and was a little concerned about such a thing but then again he also had no true authority over mechanicus personnel so he would begrudgingly let it happen while he tried to strike up true conversation with the two other xenos. One of which was called an arachnid by one of his fellows which somewhat confused him.

"Well - I, have no idea on what there is to talk about. I'm just mostly fascinated by... Everything, in fact." The man admitted. Noticing the Imperial's confusion, the Eldar nodded and patted his chestpiece and the bulky armour in its entirety.
"I'm of the Aspect of the Warp Spider: hence, the term 'arachnid'." He explained. Such was the Eldar, to notice even the faintest of signals. "Aderis, Sir Hugh-min."
