We are closing in on the 100 k posts in the forums and we have threads that are well over 500 pages long. Overall, aside from quite normal maintenance stuff, we had a total of 40 backends error; - 14 of them were DB related. We are talking about connection timeout and lock (retry) - 4 of them were related to a configuration files - 22 of them were related to the fact that we had to many email notifications sent to the user (when you follow a thread and such) so we had to switch provider. On a total of 2 501 threads, 6 653 members, 97 026 discussions, 1.7 millions pages views in less then a month and a whopping 55 millions requests to the server. During the overall process, the server auto-scale 5 times, from a small 4 GB ram instance to a 4x 24 GB ram instance, depending on the load, 40 errors seem not so bad. NOW' this is no guarantee we won't face challenge, but it's a good start. In any case, I wanted to thank everyone who jump with both feet in the forums and were so dedicated to make this a great community. Tornadium (2 336 posts!) and the top 12 posters! You can see them here: http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/members/ on the right side panel. Bests,
