they were confirmed to be there at launch but an later update to this was a maybe they will be there at launch
The latest: 5. Are terminators confirmed? DAVID GHOZLAND: No http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/q-a-answers-compilation-thread.32349/
I hope they come along with official launch, I really don't mind if they get updated later, all the basic classes are enough to keep me occupied until then. But since they're such a crucial part of the game, like MAX in PS2, I'd rather have them sooner than later, the game seems a little off without them. Moreover, if they're imbalanced after their release, there will be much harder to get them right. This should not be a problem if players get to play them beforehand in CB. However, the Heroes and other Elites will be still there at launch, right? Cuz they're the fundamental parts of the game according to the devs. We probably will have Possessed and such, I think. They're currently in the store after all.
Terminators being in game was a large attraction for many. There was a poll on whether or not it was a deal breaker for people and the results showed most people considered the loss of terminators to be a problem. IF terminators aren't safe, then I don't think any elite units are safe tbh. Next thing we might hear is no chaplains or exarchs or something.
No, other Elites and Heroes are already in the store, so they're pretty much confirmed, Termies are only mentioned so far by the devs. And not having Termies at launch doesn't mean you will never get them, they just get delayed until later updates. Consider the tasks at hand, I prefer devs putting their efforts into making sure all the basic classes are perfect and finished to making bunch of classes and nothing gets done 100%. We should focus on getting the basis right 1st then making more stuffs later. It's not like Termies can do something that Assault can't right now, they're here to enhance the experience and adding more variety, but not having them right away doesn't cost us anything either. IMO, if they can make it, perfect, if not, then fine as long as we're having them down the road.
I agree. If they get pushed back so everything else can be more polished then that's fine. I'm sure they'll get added eventually and that will help bring some player in after launch
