Temporary FPS solution

  1. Try adding this to your Engine.ini

    Code:

    [SystemSettings]
    r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=0
    r.DetailMode=1
    r.ShadowFilterQualityBias=0
    r.MaxAnisotropy=0
    r.PostProcessAAQuality=0
    r.ViewDistanceScale=1.0
    r.LightFunctionQuality=0
    r.ShadowQuality=0
    r.Shadow.CSM.MaxCascades=1
    r.Shadow.MaxResolution=256
    r.Shadow.RadiusThreshold=0.06
    r.Shadow.DistanceScale=0.6
    r.Shadow.CSM.TransitionScale=0
    r.MotionBlurQuality=0
    r.BlurGBuffer=0
    r.AmbientOcclusionLevels=0
    r.AmbientOcclusionRadiusScale=1.7
    r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
    r.RenderTargetPoolMin=300
    r.LensFlareQuality=0
    r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
    r.EyeAdaptationQuality=0
    r.BloomQuality=0
    r.FastBlurThreshold=0
    r.UpsampleQuality=1
    r.TonemapperQuality=0
    r.LightShaftQuality=0
    r.TranslucencyLightingVolumeDim=24
    r.RefractionQuality=0
    r.SSR=0
    r.SSR.Quality=0
    r.SceneColorFormat=3
    r.TranslucencyVolumeBlur=0
    r.MaterialQualityLevel=0

    Sadly, this does nothing to increase or decrease my FPS. But thanks for sharing, love your shows!

    What actually baffles me with this game is the fact that the difference between low and high settings will result in no more that 2-3 FPS change. I tested this by all available methods (in-game menu sliders and .ini values).

    As a result I get a wildly fluctuating 30-50 FPS on i5 3470 and GTX 960.
  3. Guys, since you seem to be expert on this matter can you tell me is my PC with Intel i7-490, 8GB RAM and AMD Radeon R9 270X (2GB, GDDR5) enough to run this game above 20-30 FPS? IF so what am I doing wrong?
  4. Noromiz Noromiz Nickname Change

    There are currently a few issues with FPS since they are testing the game with more than 16 players per side.
    Have you looked at the first post? It got some good tips to adjusting the settings in the GameUserSettings.ini file, and somewhere is a few tips to the Steam Launch Options.
    -nomansky decreases the loading times, but it does lower the quality of the sky.

    Don't bother with trying other DirectX versions, since the game only supports DirectX 11 (trust me, I tried and failed, miserably).
    Lowering the resolution can give a minor increase in FPS.

  5. I have read the OP, yet i cant get past 35 FPS at best. I guess that the max I can get now then.
  6. Holblasta Holinny Preacher

    I see no difference here. :(
  7. Frinn Frinn Arkhona Vanguard

    Do you mean anything lower than DX11 or is it actually better than DX12 ?
  8. Noromiz Noromiz Nickname Change

    I tried forcing it to use DirectX 9 and DirectX10, none of those work. I hoped it could increase my FPS a little, but instead it made the game non-playable (e.g. invisible buttons etc.)
  9. If you have over 30 FPS in a full Match 20 vs 20 can you please list your system stats. Right now it is looking like either SSD required to get over 30 FPS, GPU manufacturer Brand or a 1-2 year old processor. Would love to isolate what is causing the 20-30 fps some people are getting when its a full 20 vs 20 game regardless of settings. I have gone from GTX 650 to a GTX 950 then to a GTX950+ GT640 dedicated physx card with no change in FPS. Over clocking has changed nothing. Changing settings from highest to Lowest changes nothing, including resolution

    I5 760 Quad core 2.8/ 3.3 boosted
    16 Gigs PNY XlR8 ram
    PNY GTX 950 + Galaxy 640 for dedicated physx
    Win 7 Pro
    HDD

    Alright, here goes:

    I5 3470 3,2 (OC'd to 4,0)
    8 GB Corsair DDR3 @ 1600 MHz
    Nvidia GTX 960 (4 GB GDDR 5, clocks: Core=405 MHz, Memory= 405 MHz)
    Samsung SSD
    Win 10 Enterprise

    I'm getting around 30-50 FPS in 20vs20 matches (about 35 FPS on average, occasionally dipping into 20-ish or 10-ish FPS when stunned, slammed or otherwise violated) on 1920x1200 rez. Difference between high or low settings really minor, about 2-3 fps.

    Also, initially had the game installed on a HDD, now installed on SSD - no difference between FPS.
