    but it would be absurd to have to be 1 class to craft when you can just switch classes each death

    Should of just been a standard Marine class, then change assault/tact/heavy using gear and talents. Every other unit then should be a specialist (tech/apoth) or special limited use gear buy (termi armor).

    Right now its so weird to have an apothecary as a basic class and Chaplains be specialist as a Space Wolf.
  4. Not if you have to earn that class and levels of crafting within it.
    Most people in a game like this aren't bothered about crafting, so why not give those who do want to craft a class they can earn that can craft just about anything?

    I personally dont care much about crafting (depending on WHAT we craft) but in general this idea just seems out of place. Like Engineering in WoW, that is a separate profession that any class can do so as not to restrict classes from doing so. I just dont see the appeal in having a Class that has an advantage in things like this

  6. but EVERYBODY can be a techmarine. therefore anybody can craft. thus, it's rather irrelevant whether or not i choose to play as a techmarine, and making me switch to being a tech marine to craft is really stupid and tedious. (i would much prefer not to have a crafting system)

    If were talking about WoW style crafting then it should just be a Techmarine on the cruiser. But I think crafting at all is too complicated for a lot of the simple shooter fans that have attached to the game.

    I'd personally love to see special weapons/wargear be craftable, if even on a very light system, like PS2 grenade production. If only to slow down the use of Plasma gear and the number of Space Marine Assault Frogs.

    Edit: Also meant to say, if were talking about just building defenses in the field, like TF2 Engie then I wouldn't see why not.

  9. Ooooh, imagine the executions they could do.... *wiggles in her seat* Ohohoh I bet that'd be wicked. I'd looove to see that for sure! Everyone loves the tech nerds, right? <3

    I think its ok to switch between the different weapon groups (tac, dev etc) after heroically giving ones life ... I really would never allow this for special classes like Tech, Apos or Chaps .... this should be tough to gain but great to have and not something you just put on !

    This way you would see lesa but more powerful specials and maybe also more on players with hopefully some grips ;-)
