    No. Melee as a whole should not deal FF. It would defeat the purpose of large scale melee, or forming shield walls ect. Which can be extremely fun. It would not be fun if I got hacked down from behind by a team mate while I guard a door and he tries reaching over my shield.

    Melee and even mass melee have a place in the game. What's important about it is that ranged needs better ways of getting out of it - like Dbash working and animation tuning.

    you're assuming people will continue playing the same with the melee TK, if close combat gets friendly damage, as a logical result melee players will fight more dispersed, allowing the melee system to play out as intended at least more often.

    if big fights end that can only be a good thing considering the melee system is meant for 1vs1 duels, not the current RMBspam.

    Ranged have fluid consistent reliable manual aim.
    Give Melee fluid consistent reliable manual aim and we have a deal on that Melee Ally damage.

    As this will never happen Melee are stuck with clunky partially directable manual aim, so would therefore be at a disadvantage and not consistent with what Ranged have.

  4. I'm assuming friendly fire for melee would make anything beyond a 1 v 1 a clusterfuck.

  5. Wow. What happened to the balls of gaming? The best games out there with melee have team damage, because without it you get the situation we have. No sense melee game play. Imagine if grenades didn't do Team damage? Why not. Melee weapons don't. Grenade spams into swarms of friendly players to get the enemy instead of having to pay attention to wtf you are doing in the game.

    Ye can't change da velocity o' a bullet mid flight er th' boom from a bomb ta' do less damage ta' an ally wot happens ta' be in its path er boom radius

    Friendly fire is already in this game by the dozens. We don't need any more, we actually need less of it. Its part of what is ruining this game. This isn't real life, its a fucking video game. Its supposed to be fun not frustrating.

    Right now with the current FF mechanics and stagger in melee its complete cancer. You can't really get anything done and you're often having UI effects and screen shake or stun from someone else on your team screwing you over. Or even worse, you get shot or plasma cannoned. So no, no more. End of discussion and your entire argument is absurd.

    Get yourself checked into a hospital.

    It really just boils down to the simple (yet somehow complicated) melee system that has been built. Ever play a game where depending on where you aim on the opponent changes how the melee weapon is held, and subsequently the travel path of the blade? That would mean you could AIM your melee shots. Like maybe swing your sword in a completely vertical or horizontal arc as well as the nice 45 degree angle we have now..
    But instead we have the same animation of the diagonal strike that hits your ally on the head before striking your opponent.
    Oh well.
  9. My main problem with no friendly melee damage is the fact that I can't easily kill the assholes on my team that insist on repeatedly shooting me in the back when I'm in a melee scrap. These "team mates" shoot just enough to take all of my armor and 90% of my health, as I finish off an opponent in melee they run off free from worry of my Axe splitting their worthless asses in half.

    As long as the blood flows the Blood Father cares not if it's friend or foe when it comes to lazy assbag team mates shooting through you to hit an enemy. These lazy fuckers deserve to die and their skulls need to be taken on the spot, though the Blood God will find their skulls unworthy of the Skull Throne I'm quite sure.

    I think if more ranged players could be killed purposely by their retaliating angry melee team mates(that get sick and fucking tired of being shot in the back) lazy asshat ranged dipdunks would stop shooting into the melee scrum.
