While I like some of the ideas, Tau Nulls are nonexistant because they're not that nonpsionic that they're anathema to psionics, but rather just not psionic. Also, IIRC, it might be outdated, but the Pariah gene was once a Necrontyr manipulation of the human DNA.

Water Caste doing sabotage and assassination kind of seems to go against their diplomacy flair. There is a Fire Caste member implied to be of an assassinative bend (I forgot which one, but the implication comes from his Warlord Trait being unique and named 'The Assassin'), but Water Caste seems more inclined to let others do the killing, just as Air Caste is probably too weak to kill anything in personal combat.

  2. I feel like I would need to agree with Midas on this. Though I could see water caste assassins that are more focused on subtle assassinations such as poisoning and the like.
  3. I'd be interested, but I dunno how to Tau, is the problem.

Considering there is an Earth Caste battlesuit, though, some exceptions may exist. He is Farsight, however, and I believe imperial society may not tolerate this crass deviation from their castes.

  5. Ok so here is what I have decided for the character options:

    Name: (Self-Explanatory)
Caste/Race: (If you are Tau then Fire, Earth, Water, and Air; available races are Kroot, Human, and any of the ones @PorOborosCain listed with a circle next to them.)
Rank: (Should be 'la or racial equivalent unless previously stated)
Gear: (Nothing too overboard, begin with standard arms and armor for your race/rank)
    Background/Personality: (Self-Explanatory)

Once I get three character sheets I'll post the intro. The Shas'Ui is @Casavay , and the Por'Ui is @PorOborosCain

    Name: Suve (Sue-vey)
    Caste: Fire
    Rank: Shas'la
Gear: Plasma Rifle, Fire Warrior Armor
Background/Personality: Shall be fleshed out through play.

I know the name thing is wrong but it'll get confusing real damn fast if we all have the same/similiar names aye? So Suve is just kinda the nickname moniker/player identifier I guess :D

  7. Name:(sept) Draal
    Caste: Fire Caste
    Rank: Shas'la
    Gear:
    • Standard issue Fire Warrior Armor
    • Standard Issue Pulse Rifle
    • Standard Issue Photon Grenades
    • Tau Bonding knife
Background: Ever since he was a young Tau, Draal had heard many heroic tales of the fire caste, the bravery of the proud fire warriors fighting for the greater good, stories that inspired him to one day be the best that the Fire Caste had to offer and be one of the heroes in the tales he was told as a child. While in the academy he proved himself to be borderline zealous with his dedication to mastering the art of his caste. By the time he had graduated into become full Shas'la his ambitions were clear as well as his drive to meet them, he wasn't going to stop until he reached the top.
Personality: Draal may be as green as you can be and still be a Shas'la, but he makes up for his lack of experience with the zeal to spread the greater good to all, whether it be through word or through the muzzle of a pulse rifle. He is eager to prove himself to his superiors and will rarely, if ever, question or disregard orders. He might seem a little over eager but of course, can you expect any less from new blood?

As is ritual, I will be submitting A FEW+ characters and be deciding as time goes on. Because I am terrible at decisions. And want GM's/people's feedback.

    Name: Shas'la'????'Mal'caor (Mal, to friends)
    Caste: Fire
    Rank: Shas'la
Gear: Pulse Rifle, Pulse Pistol, Bonding Knife, Fire Warrior Armor
Background/Personality: To be decide through gameplay. As per the name, hoping versatile and maybe even opportunistic.
Goals: I love the concept of Fireblades as well as Stealth Suits. But I'm keeping an open mind here. See where the character/story lead him.

Name: Torek (See if anyone remember him from one of Akragth's old RPs)
    Species: Kroot
    Homeworld: Pech
Gear: Kroot Hunting Rifle. Kroot Hunting Knives (x2). Leathers of slain enemies/prey
Background/Personality: Young, hot-blooded hunter. Textbook glory seeker.
Mutations: See what the future holds.
Goals: Stalker or Headhunter Supreme. Or something entirely new and equally kickass. Knarloc Knight? Seriously people, throw in ideas here.

    Name: Ewen Zharkov
    Species: Imperial Human
    Rank: Gue'vesa Auxiliary
    Gear: Lasgun/Pulse Rifle, Shield, Sword
Background/Personality: Still thinking on this one. Part of me wants to go converted local Arbites.. Part of me wants ex-PDF. Unsure.

    Name: Zir'kaal
    Species: Tarellian
    Rank: Dog-Soldier
    Homeworld: Turath (Desert Death World)
Gear: Tarellian Disruption Rifle. Tarellian Hunting Knife. Scaled Hide and Flak Armor.
Background: Recently hired by the Tau Empire, Zir'kaal is a temperamental broodling with fury in his reptilian eyes. He took the contract as an opportunity to not only gain greater equipment, but as a chance to potentially clash with the Imperium of Man. Some grudges can never be forgiven and to the Tarellian Broods, it is a grudge that can only end with blood.

Raised on the Death World of Turath, his scales have taken on the dark blue sands of the planet, with stripes of white.

  10. Depends on what missions were are assigned. Maybe we are the best of the worst. Those to useful to exile but too dangerous to be let loose in common Tau society. They have a chance to prove themselves by assisting embassadors on hostile worlds and against species.

    Just an idea.

Air caste would alaays good pilots, but not an active role. I see your reasoning and it makes sense, still they can at least have a weapon? A small pulse-pistol or such?
