The Pulse Carbine fires faster - yup. It has probably also more ammunition (at least I shall handle it that way) It has full-automatic, burst and single-fire (at least I shall handle it so) They don't recharge, they shoot the energy-cell empty and then needs to be replaced. Instead of clips they use energy cells. Just imagine little cylinders ^^ Carbine fires probably slightly stronger but as said - Range difference is quite immensive between carbine and rifle. Both can't overheat despite being plasma weapons because of Tau technology. Just like Eldar technology they actually managed to keep their crap safe unlike the Imperium who overcharges Plasma for more devastation. Which is the reason why Imperium Plasma (in power) > All other Plasma Also game shall start later today.
Nope also regular guys use Carbine. Also I make no difference between classes, only your rank. Means if you are a Shas'Ui you can be either Fire Warrior or Pathfinder - Depending on your equipment. So your char does not determine what you are - but what you can. Your equipment before a mission determines though what you are. Tau are highly adaptive to any battle situation and the best way to express that is in the variety you players can have on the battlefield or better said before it ^^ ALTHOUGH if you want a rail-rifle - you gotta deploy as Pathfinder, but of course you may also use the Carbine while fielding as Pathfinder [all hail variety!]. (Which though also grants you target-marking equipment, making the fire of your allies more efficient bla bla bla) You get it I suppose ^^ It's the founder level you got. Says pathfinders have to go really far ahead of the main force? I don't actually have to scout way ahead of the main force do I? Also, can I still fire my gun while using the marker light thing?
