Stealth Suits - Yes; for certain missions. Pathfinders - always allowed. Keep in mind Stealth Suits are Battlesuits of XV-8 and XV-88 level they are elite forces. So deployment of these will be rare until someone becomes a 'Vre ^^ No Necron in disguise I tell you already also it's Air caste, not Wind . Also you forgot your home sept world. Burst Cannons are Stealth-Suit only. XV-8 got also Cyclic Ion Blaster though they are a bit different ^^ 'Social hacking'? Tau do not utilize LMG weapons except for Battlesuits because there is no need. As good as all Tau weapons are Plasma weapons - Therefore killing anything they hit anyway. You could be a devilfish gunner if you want to shoot around with LMG like weaps. But other than that the carbine is probably more your choice - But shorter ranger than the regular pulse rifle and usually more for close combat.
you said that we may eventually get to be promoted to being able to use a battlesuit right? And does the pulse carbine fire faster between shots than the rifle? I'm not going to be spraying and praying though, still a tau after all, still aiming every shot pretty well, but I know that the pulse rifles have to recharge or something between each shot don't they? If the rifle and carbine fire at about the same rate then I think i would like the rifle, but if the carbine fires faster then I would like to use a carbine, and yes I know I'm probably overthinking this too
