First of all: I can't go full-time GMing. Though I will attempt to participate kinda like Aida with Architect, I would appreciate to have someone to fall back on for worst case scenarios. This is a whole other approach than the GM version because: Each and every player is part of the story development (including plots). The Architect is a general observer-like position where simply is described what is going on and the players may react to it or handle it however they want. But also the players can make their own plots, their own advancements, etc. without me simply cutting them down (except it makes no sense or is just going too far, aka Mary Sue) I.e. A Tau who can mysteriously sense the warp makes no sense or speak even of using Craftworld Eldar weaponry. Anyway. The Tau RP I will handle strike-force style within the plot, read as: Elite Unit made out of different Sept-Worlds Though we still will have more or less an entire army to our disposal the focus will resolve around individuals (once again - similar to how Aida handles it at the moment in the Infinite RP). I know one of the main reasons for Tau RPs not being successful is that most of you don't know Tau very well. But if you are truly interested - you may learn. I wasn't good with Eldar either but through Shadys SF and Aidas Infinite RP I learned more and more. So do not be afraid of learning new stuff. I don't demand from you to know all Tau words or all their behaviors or such. In the contrary I want you to make even stuff up as long as it sounds believable. Like Mymearan Ice Berry Wine that was made up - who cares if it exists or not; it sounds possible - does it not? Same goes for certain rituals or how they are done. Everything is legit as long as it seems plausible. And instead like with Deathwatch going all crazy and on the limits with lore bend and stuff - I will rather keep it simple and straight forward 'typical Tau'. Though if you are just going to join for war you are looking at the wrong RP. Yes War is an element of Wh40k and the RPs. But it won't be the Main focus. There will be a huge focus on char development, player interaction, planning, etc. Therefor also EACH player is allowed to have 2 characters (I suggest you to make 1 Fire or Air and 1 Water or Earth char rather than 1 Fire & 1 Air or 1 Water & 1 Earth; but that is up to you). But 2 chars of the same caste is prohibited. Also no alien-allies-players, due to some reasons and keep the players more on the same page. There may be Kroot, Vespid NPCs, etc. but to keep it simpler for us all - Players will be Tau only. You may choose of these castes: - Fire - Water - Earth - Air Fire Caste are Warriors. Every player will start as Shas'Ui (Veteran) and will have the capability of ranking up to Shas'Vre and earn a XV-88 Broadside Battlesuit or even a XV-8 Crisis Water Caste are Diplomats, Merchants and Ambassadors. Every player will start as Por'Ui (Envoy) and will have the capability of ranking up to gain more influence among the group, trade easier with other species, etc. Perhaps your char may also leave the RP and become a merchant (These chars will be important for some missions or to settle feuds between individuals) Earth Caste are Engineers and Scientists. Every player will start as Fio'Ui (Senior) and will have the capability of ranking up to gain more knowledge about other species' technology or more advanced with Tau tech so you may also construct more advanced battlesuits, fix them up, etc. (These chars may also be important for infiltrating certain facilities or providing certain items) Air Caste are Pilots, Admirals and anything that has to do with the Tau Navy. Every player will start as Kor'Ui (Carrier) and will have the capability of ranking up to gain perhaps even an own cruiser at one point, become more talented in space battles or else-wise piloting, etc. (These chars are important for deploying and picking up troops, also for operating several space ships anything from fighters and bombers to actual battleships) An Aun'Vre will be more or less 'The Main Character' who leads the force. He is to be seen equivalent to a Space Marine Captain leading a campaign or an Eldar Autarch / Farseer commanding a force, IG General, etc. If there are any questions let me know. Other than that I am gladly accepting your characters. To make naming easier you can just tell me what your character is known for / what he achieved and I shall help you creating a name. (Since Tau are not given names by birth, but upon their deeds and since all chars are already 'Ui' they have some sort of name ) Oh and the Tau can come from different Sept Worlds - but please do NOT make own Sept Worlds up (due to different reasons) the main force will be made up of T'au Sept though. Also regards characters, please use this template: Name: Age: Caste: Specialty (optional): Sept / Homeworld: Example: Name: i.e. 'Skilled' or 'Niner' (I will help you forging the name then) Age: 25 (40 is considered old for Tau!) Caste: Fire Specialty: None / All-Round Sept / Homeworld: Sa'Cea You can find a list of Ranks here; Sept / Homeworlds here; and Tau Lexicon here Once Again: Do not worry - You are not required to use Tau Terms and also for characters I will allow nicknames, i.e. to only use whatever makes their name, like the Tau equivalent to 'Skilled (which btw would be 'Kais') instead of the whole "Shas'Ui'Sa'Cea'Kais" to just shorten it to 'Kais' or perhaps even 'Kai' or other nicknames you may come up with. Also once more: I encourage you to come up with own Tau terms since the lexicon is also quite restrictive (if you feel like it)
I might... MIGHT.. give it a try. *Serious look* You sayin' I might get my own ship? My own bloody ship!? What about a fleet? Will I ever be allowed to command a fleet?
If you live long enough and the RP goes till page 2000 or so, then I am certain at one point you would be the head of our fleet xD EDIT: Also not sure what to think about the pic
I'll be keeping an eye on this, hiding in the shadows with quiet interest... Hope this gets enough members interested! More Role-Play variety is always a good thing.

i had my own plans for a tau rp But i think yours is better since you know both there lore and probably could make better events. Could i perhaps be a tau that was a former prisoner for disobeying orders. or perhaps one from the farsight enclave.
