Take a break - it helps

  1. It's not that they don't care, it's that they are literally at their max. When you are doing everything you can and people still just want to talk shit about what you're doing, you're going to eventually get a "yeah ok, whatever" outlook.

9 people cannot deliver more than they already are. People need to come to terms with this reality.

Shit, it's now 8 people for the next month because Chan is on vacation.

Sometimes I think people on this forum would rather have this game die than play it which boggles my mind. These same people have hundreds of hours on steam probably. Clearly, it was not that shit of a game.

I think op you need to come to terms with reality, anything that relates to this game is devs fault. Anything from players reception to their team size relates to how good their game is which relates to development process.

What youre asking players to do is to bent over, spread those cheeks and accept anything that comes while absolving devs of any responsibility.

@Dreadspectre I respect you for fighting to keep this game alive and for understanding that the team is limited. To be fair those that keep saying this game is bad because of what it can be or because it is lacking x,y, and z simply don't realise that a small team simply can't create these things in the matter of a night. It could take Years to create something that is "40k worthy" all we can do as a community is thank them for what they have given us, which btw is the closest thing to a 40k MMO we will see for a very long time and try to support them by giving them ideas, feedback, and yes, Money. They have a great vision for what this game can be they just don't have the resources to do it. Perhaps and I know what people will say to this but perhaps create some form of crowdfunding program to help give them the money they need. After all their producers made them have a very Shakey launch which hurt their funds and from what I understand they had to buy the rights to this game which took another huge chunk of their funds and just these two things almost killed their budget yet they still are making this game.

Also... Sorry about the wall of text. If you read all this just remember that I love you.

I'd agree if it was a recent thing but it isn't. The false hopes have plagued EC for a long long while now and no way would I rather have the game die. I'm angry because I want the game to live but I really can not see that happening for much longer and I do blame the devs for that, they have had a long time to sort things out which they said they would. Yet here we are, still waiting.

I've supported the game strongly since early Alpha and believed in it even at the bleakest of times but when devs can't even be arsed to believe in there own game and end up jumping ship.. yeah..

I don't play as much as I'd like, maybe a few times a month, only because my system can barely handle EC. Also a console gamer. If this was on PS4, I'd play the shit out of it every day, just like I did Dust514 (which was about as "bad" as EC at "launch")
  7. EC has nothing on Star Citizen.

If you're feeling blue about EC, just think to yourself "thank god I didn't back Star Citizen"

Of course, if you backed BOTH games...well...awkwaaarrrrdddd.

There are some 400 people working on Cyberpunk 2077 right now, apparently, with another up to 100 to be added once Gwent is done and dusted this year. As a sense of perspective.

Then again, some indy titles are made by two or three people. It's about having a realistic vision and the scope to achieve that vision.

You attach yourself to 40k and you also gain scope, whether your development team can handle it or not.
  9. I just want to say that I read this as "Horus to Money spent ratio" and have been thinking about it for about half an hour. A really good topic, though.
