Hello shiny xenos, I have come with a question and, depending on the answer, a suggestion.

Now then, to get on with it, the swooping hawks grenades are an excellent tool for sowing panic and confusion along a line of formed up defenders or mostly static attackers. Against vehicles a coordinated haywire strike and a fire dragon or reaper launcher team up is devastating.

But I must ask a question. Do the haywire grenades destroy the apothacarion beacon? Do they destroy servo skulls? And if not, should they? Both are pieces of technology that go beyond a method of simple mechanical activation. The beacon sends out signals to the space marine armor while the servo skull is a small drone itself. Items like the medicae grenade would by this logic be immune as it seems their effect is simply a stim gas released into the air.
  2. Why not, but still its not a task of a Hawk.
You can do it better with common grenades, but you have to swoop in a room and drop them on the heads and becaons of angry LSM who will shred you in a blink of an eye.
You need to stay in air to drop the loads. Only few experienced hawks can do it in small room in my opinion.
Personally I refuse to play hawks. But I played it a lot in past. They are made only for nests now and time when hawks were better in doing Avenger's job had gone since February "balance porn" rewamp.

Key thing of a Hawks is an EMI grenades to help Dragons catch the running tank.
    The-Forge-Dragon likes this.

Another neat grenade would be flashbang hawk nades

Haywires always have destroyed deployables like healing grenades and servo skulls, which is why when being able to throw them while on the ground was taken away it was a bummer to me, since I used haywires to clear out beacons for attacks. It's still possible but now it's a lot harder to do.
