Just wondering if any of you guys think the Swarm Lord will be making an appearance and how it could be implimented into the game? I'm thinking if it does make an appearance that maybe it could buff all the tyranids in the area and also make their AI smarter (increase the difficulty)

Probably not, It's only really something that would appear if the Hive Mind is literally out of all options.

Wouldn't mind seeing him as some one time event raid boss.

Or it could be introduced into the battlefield if one of the faction quickly dominates the field. After all, Tyranids are supposedly there mainly to level out the playing field, on the map.

True but seeing a swarmlord that regularly would just ruin the effect it would have when he is deployed.

If we are to see The Swarm Lord out on the field it would either be a temporary event for players or one of the strongest end game PVE boss matches.

Super intelligent boss that appears sometimes and makes Tyranids even harder to ward off.

The referencing or even an appearance of a Swarmlord would likely be done through some distant Title Update to Eternal Crusade, introducting heavier Tyranid themes and a new planet for which to fight over. (Lush Jungle World would be nice! )

But I don't think we'll see anything greater initially than a Carnifex.
And a similar Synapse creature. Hive Tyrant at best, I guess.
Zoanthropes at the worst.

I think it'd be a good thing to see in things like community events or to have it appear in an area after so many 1000's of tyranids have died there.

I'd much prefer a Bio Titan.

Those things are hideous.

Possibly 1,000,000's after all, it depends on how easy 1 tyranid is to kill.
