I hope this a priority fix, I have been very disappointed with how many of these abilities are still not giving exp i.e. Boon of change, healing grenades/stations despite having gone through several patch cycles since their introduction. I know I personally have been eagerly awaiting each patch day only to be met with disappointment that this issue is still is unresolved. I do understand that there are lots of issues that need to be addressed with this game (though I still enjoy it ) but as a support main this a major annoyance for me and others and hope that we can get an update on why this is taking so long.
That would be op for getting exp and the healers would just spam them instead of doing anything else. My major annoyance is that LSM have buggy heals, get canceled if their target moves even 1 cm and it targets you more then the guy youre trying to heal.
Know the pain, a well placed healing beacon or aoe heal can make a full assault triumph instead of another wave butchered. Although i'll admit the xp reward for healing with an AOE heal in general should be minor compared to a full fledged heal. Maybe 10xp per second if any teammate or mates are being healed? Not that sure if it should stack thou
It could very well give only, like 50% of the equivalent XP of single target heals per hitpoint healed.
i forget what the exact exp for a single target heal is but i generally get around 50 form near dead marines. Half that for 15 and you still get exp spam. 1 beacon can heal multiple marines/ rev them/ keep doing t long as they keep dieing on it but aren't finished off. 10 or 5 would be much better for heals and 15+ only for revs
Could be 33%, 25%, whatever. Could also simply have a built-in XP/sec cap. There are lots of ways to balance this. No XP at all gives you essentially the opposite situation of what you are criticising: instead of "why ever use single target heals" you end up with a "why ever use AoE heals" situation. I bet a lot of people stick to single target precisely because the game disincentivises their use.
Its possible but seeing as how the devs cant seem to balance much if at all anything (they do balance some things fine but the community still whines) i would rather then fix stuff more then add stuff. If added they need to list its details property instead of "aoe heals now give points"
