We going off 1s being critical fails, 20s being critical successes? Keeping it simple with just dice value or are there going to be positive/ negative modifiers based on situation/abilities/combination attacks/ etc?
Keeping it as simple as possible. Upgrades later down the line will only enhance your narrative abilities while the dice will remain the same for the sake of simplicity.
Alright So what roll values determine successful/ failed actions? Also are you going to post what was rolled along with the corresponding action?
No I'm not going to post the rolls but I'm going with what you listed and highest roll overrules the other one. Like say right now the rolls go you:15 Wata:16 wata got the higher roll so his actions would win and he escapes harm but just barely.
Ah, so do I get an opposing roll in this case? Or do I not get an opposing roll because I didn't technically attack?
I just go with what's posted. Though it can be assumed you're attacking right now so that's what I'm rolling for and Wata is defending plus the follow up attack. Again using the numbers from before wata would just barely get out of harm's way and fire off a shot into you but do little damage.
