Give me a little credit, Angry. He doesn't bullshit me either. Never take at face value the word of someone who might as well be the founding member of the EIDF. I didn't want my personal problem to be the focus of the thread. I'm not trying to milk sympathy or the like, but I suppose that in this instance it didn't seem to be a problem to most people since they don't experience it the same way.
Bit da skip launcha is OP! The scary sounds it makes scare off all the sparkle elves from the cap points! It's just a huge irritation to most peoples eyes. It certainly hurts mine, like almost every other overdone visual effect in this game.
As a Eldar main who chose to be a dedicated Swooping Hawk (before the 10% DPS nerf that is), the Sun Rifle is so laughable. This post and thread are a complete joke. Most people who complain about Eldar, ESPECIALLY Swooping Hawks, never play the race (or class) to begin with, but that aside here is a list about Hawks explaining their game play, strengths and weaknesses. (I do not have or use the Hunters Mark, so that will be excluded). 1. Swooping Hawks are an ambush/flanking class and can be outgunned by nearly any range class at a distance. 2. All their weapons have low damage but high rate of fire, which leads to hit and run style tactics. This is the only way you will rack up consistent points. 3. Being an opportunist is essential. Look for solo targets, distracted heavies, or enemies trying to pick up a downed teammate. Hawks excel at scouting, calling targets, eliminating stragglers, patrolling between points in the sky, and dropping down to assist allies quickly. 4. Their grenades while plentiful, are weak individually and need to be dropped/tossed in rapid succession to be effective. Look for groups of 2+ to drop them on. 5. Hawks using aim in the air become easy targets, and must choose positioning very carefully. Sometimes it is better to drop from the sky and go for a back melee kill than to actually risk shooting the target with 15-20 rounds. 6. As in #5, a Hawk should only engage in melee when he is behind distracted targets and can get easy hits from behind. Sometimes you will see a teammate in need of melee help from the sky. You must make the call to either stop and aim to unload on the target, or drop down and join the fray. 7. While Hawks can get out of most situations on the ground easily just by jumping into the air, that does not always mean they can score enough kills and assists to actually make a difference in battle. I understand the gripes against some parts of the Eldar faction, but Swooping Hawks are noob killers plain and simple. Stick in groups instead of going it alone and Hawks will become much less of a problem.
Well, from a gameplay perpective it may be awesome but from the KILLING THE PLAYERS EYES maybe you got a point. I would recommend to change it so it works like a flashbang. Instead of your screen getting brighter it may only become more white?
It's good practice in the industry to add colour-blind modes for people who are colour blind. EC should also get something like that.
I'm not complaining about the damage at all. I'm complaining about the horrendous visual. I wish there was an option to completely remove all bloom.
